Please tell me what I can do to sort my face out. I split with my husband of 13 years in February and feel so old and crappy. I'm only 39, but seem to have aged a lot this year.
I'm thinking of cosmetic surgery, but this is completely alien to me. I wear makeup every day and spend quite a lot on skincare, always have, but what can I dooooooooo?!
Any advice very much appreciated.

Christ! Terrible photo, but shows my wrinkly face to full effect, which was the purpose I guess. Confused

You know what, I think you look beautiful and I never would have said you were late thirties! I think you look great.
Perhaps not helpful to your dilemma but I honestly wouldn't change anything on your face.

ahola · 16/11/2018 23:44

The only face I see is a little yellow one... Are you a minion?

stayathomer · 16/11/2018 23:44

Can't see a photo op but would say don't do the cosmetic surgery. You see people going for it and it's very rare it turns out well (my opinion only though). Make up and well fitting clothes from nice places like M&S who have a personal shopper to help you, a trip to a hair dresser and a spa day would cost less and make you feel as good. As well as this fresh air Excercise and chat to a friend/family member and take up a hobby, it'll do more for you. Hope it works out op

Take a 2 week holiday somewhere warm. Does wonders.

snop · 16/11/2018 23:49

Maybe some Botox, but other than that nothing you have really lovely glowing skin

fartwhenyoustandup · 16/11/2018 23:50

Oh really?! Haha, what have I uploaded? Sorry, will try and sort.
I do exercise, drunk shed loads of wine, sorry WATER!, but good well fitting clothes. Mostly from Ensource. I just feel haggard. And very suddenly. 😭

How do I not see a photo?

TheVoidOfJanet · 16/11/2018 23:51

Cut out sugar for a bit.

Have some fun.

Find a really good hairdresser and have a restyle both cut and colour.

fartwhenyoustandup · 16/11/2018 23:52

Where to ask for the Botox and how much will I be looking at spending? Any ideas? x

The trouble is that since I split from my husband I've been having SHIT LOADS OF FUN! It's taken it's toll badly though.

I don't see a photo?

makeitalargegin · 17/11/2018 00:49

I was feeling the same as you (36) had a rough year with being ill. Felt like I had ages 10000 years

Botox is absolutely amazing! I have it done in 3 areas. Forehead, my 11s and the sides of my eyes. I've had it done twice and feel like a new women

Prices depends on area, I had mine done at a amazing skin clinic, 3 areas are £225 here

I did a lot of research into the clinics in my area, read reviews etc. Just don't get it done in those mobile clinics yes they are cheaper but I wouldn't trust them.

whatsnewchoochoo · 17/11/2018 00:50

There is nothing wrong with your face. Nothing. You are lovely.

Twotabbycats · 17/11/2018 01:01

You are pulling a face that probably creates wrinkles where there are none Grin

But if you are self conscious about them have you considered more of a fringe over your forehead? Covers a multitude of sins and I think it would suit your face.

You have nice skin!

BitOfFun · 17/11/2018 01:06

You look gorgeous. I totally would.

fartwhenyoustandup · 17/11/2018 02:05

Thank you, I feel better about myself after reading some of the comments. I think Botox and and good healthy living regime will help me. Here's my old haggard face without gurning and make up ... Any advice on the Botox/filler front would be lovely. I never realised how wonky my face is before... 🙈

You have good skin, it is just maybe a bit dehydrated. Start from within, loads of water, avocados and salmon (try the Perricone diet, it is bloody amazing) and then some really good acids and oils, they don’t have to be massively expensive.

halfwitpicker · 17/11/2018 02:21

Ah the second photo is better Grin

You have good skin, make sure you eat well as unicycle says.

Bit of fake tan? Lots of water too.

Shriek · 17/11/2018 02:27

God no! Don't waste your money.
Beautiful as you are, really. I just think you've had a bit of a crisis of confidence at being single again after 13 years.
Don't know why some can't see pic, I can see both, and apart from the turning first one is good too!

Shriek · 17/11/2018 02:28

Tbh I would sort out the issue with the other end, that should be a priority, as that really work well for you in social situations Wink

SusieQ5604 · 17/11/2018 02:40

I think you're beautiful!

TanteRose · 17/11/2018 03:02

I honestly do not understand how people are recommending Botox to a 39 year old woman with fabulous skin - you look absolutely fine OP Confused

Unicyclethief · 17/11/2018 03:07

Prevention? Number 11s? It is quite common, and very very effective.
