Agreed that MM looks really good today. DoC also out and about today. Similar colours.

@frugalkitty I've got the cookbook and the recipes I've tried are delicious!

Unannounced visits for both duchesses today, and both in similar colours. Colours we said they should wear - we can now put "style advisors to royalty" on our CVs!

Not entirely keen on Kates suit, which looks a bit small for her. Is it one of those Paule Ka things she's find of?

BTW, Charles swollen hands - it's not a health thing, his father has the same issue. Apparently Philip suffers quite a bit of discomfort in his hands because of swelling and the crack and bleed and everything. The two lads are lucky they didn't inherit them too. I wonder if Andrew and Edward have paws like Pa?

itswinetime · 21/11/2018 15:33

I like the colour of Kate's suit and the skirt yes there is something slightly off about the length of the jacket I think happy it's not a coat dress though

WindyWednesday · 21/11/2018 15:42

Yes, look at the hands of his brothers. All the same swollen hands.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 21/11/2018 15:43

And full marks to Kate too (liking the casual ponytail). I think they both look great today.

WindyWednesday · 21/11/2018 15:43

MM looks so much better today in the mini dress. Love the colour and it looks so much more comfortable for her bump.

Member · 21/11/2018 15:47

Like burgundy on both of them, I like that suit on Kate, makes her look less long in the torso but dislike the hair/ribbon.

Starting to wonder whether Kensington palace have a job lot of black ribbon they’re trying to use up what with MM’s evening top and Kate’s hair!

Spudlet · 21/11/2018 15:50

Good colour on Kate. And not a coat dress! Nice.

queenofarles · 21/11/2018 15:55

DOC outfit reminds me a bit of riverdance costumes, something about the short flippy skirt and opaque tights.

ajandjjmum · 21/11/2018 15:57

I think they both look great! I wonder if they're playing a game with us - 'let's both go out tomorrow in berry colours - just to shut up the Mners!'

Paradyning · 21/11/2018 15:57

Isn't that Kate suit a repeat?

IdaBWells · 21/11/2018 16:03

Lovely colours on Meghan and I love those shoes on her. The whole outfit works, she looks joyful Grin

Pupsiecola · 21/11/2018 16:14

Yes, DoC's suit is a repeat.

BTW, Charles swollen hands - it's not a health thing, his father has the same issue

What is it, if not a health issue though? They weren't always like that. And if his father has it it could be hereditary vs further proof that it's not a health issue? There must be a cause... Apparently William joked about PC's "sausage fingers" in his 70th birthday party speech Blush.

owlshooting · 21/11/2018 16:22

Loved Meghan's outfit today, and her hair looked good too. I wonder if it was a coincidence that Kate also wore similar colours?

Pupsiecola · 21/11/2018 16:27

Can I say that these threads have been great for me taking my mind off my real life issues.

I just wanted to acknowledge this IPromise. I hope you're okay. I have to say, it dawned on me a few days ago that I am far less active on FB/IG since getting into this thread; it's the first thing I check in the morning, and the updates throughout the day are keeping me away from SM. Not that I was an excessive user, but this has become my "I've got 5 minutes to browse" go-to. This is a far more positive time-waster, on the whole Grin.

owlshooting · 21/11/2018 16:29

Does anyone know the label of the coat M wore? I love it!

Bloominglovely · 21/11/2018 16:31

Not keen on the style or fit of Kate’s suit but I like the colour.
I always thought Charles had a ‘ruddy’ complexion but these days I think he just looks unhealthy (people I know who have a similar complexion are a bit too fond of a tipple).

Pupsiecola · 21/11/2018 16:38

I wonder if Charles has rosacea (alcohol can be a trigger, especially red wine).

QueenOfTheAndals · 21/11/2018 16:40

@owlshooting Meghan's coat and dress are both from Club Monaco, so posh high street (think Whistles) rather than designer.

@IPromiseIWontBeNaughty I hope you're ok too, and glad this thread is helping you take your mind off stuff. Like @Pupsiecola, I find I'm spending more time on this thread rather than Twitter, which is no bad thing as it can be a cesspit!

Does anyone know the label of the coat M wore? I love it!

There was reference to it on the DM link shared above. Dress was the same company.

Pupsiecola · 21/11/2018 16:44

I've just googled him and have ended up on a (DM) page about all his injuries and mishaps over the years. He has actually had a non-cancerous growth removed from his face. Which made me think, I imagine he spends a lot of time outdoors and I'm not sure he'd bother with daily SPF, so the redness could be rosacea (heat/the sun is another trigger). I'm going to try this technique though...

His trademark walk — with his fingers interlinked behind his back — is thought to be a therapeutic trick to help ease his back pain. By opening his chest and pulling his shoulders back, the technique stops him from slumping when he walks.

Pupsiecola · 21/11/2018 16:46

Also in the article:-

*Green-fingered Charles is used to being outdoors, but when it comes to travelling abroad he suffers from a strange and somewhat embarrassing condition: swollen fingers.

He’s had the disorder, which only presents itself after a long flight, for decades — and experts say it could be caused by anything from water retention to poor circulation or even arthritis.*

Pupsiecola · 21/11/2018 16:47

Epic bold fail there. Hey ho. I must get on with dinner!
