Letizia and Felipe are making a state visit to Peru. I love her striped dress, and we've probably got a gown to look forward to later!

Ooo like that on Leti.

Those kimonos on the earlier link were stunning too.

itswinetime · 12/11/2018 18:22

Striped dress is lovely! State visit does that mean jewels?

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/11/2018 18:24

Yes I think they bring the big guns tiaras out for state visits!

Re. nude shoes - I think suede works better - personally I have jimmy choo romys in nude.

TipseyTorvey · 12/11/2018 18:32

Goodness this thread moves fast. I love those kimonos! I do not like the plum shoes though. Too old lady 1950s for me!

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 12/11/2018 18:33

Anyone know who is responsible for the tiaras & jewels when the royals visit abroad - I couldn’t cope with the responsibility.

VanillaSugary · 12/11/2018 18:34

Did I see Camilla in nude shoes?

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/11/2018 18:35

These are old lady shoes???

NOOOOoooo not those gorgeous creatures Queen! There were some square heeled thingies earlier. Those are to die for!!

MotherofPearl · 12/11/2018 18:40

I come on these threads to enjoy light-hearted chat about RF style and fashion, and thankfully that's mainly what dominates - afaik that's specifically what Queen set them up for.

I really can't be doing with groundless speculation about people's marriages, or about the details of people's diet and exercise regimens.

MotherofPearl · 12/11/2018 18:41

Letizia's black and white striped dress looks amazing on her. She is so stylish. I can imagine DofC in that dress actually.

VanillaSugary · 12/11/2018 18:59

The block heels are straight out or the 1970s IIRC - I fear that we're heading back to the bell bottom age. Even Kate wore massive flares dungarees for her Vogue shoot. Was it early last year?

pallisers · 12/11/2018 18:59

she's a lost cause so, want2be.

love that stripy dress. I also love nearly every pair of shoes the DoS has worn. And equally nearly every pair (other than the boots and casual ones) the DoC wears look vaguely clumpy or stylelesseven when they shouldn't be (is it her feet - couldn't be?)

Spudlet · 12/11/2018 19:04

Hang on, Kate in dungarees?! What?

Want2bSupermum · 12/11/2018 19:07

pallisers total lost cause. I was so nice to try and help twice. I mentor some young women from disadvantaged backgrounds. I do think like get the DvF foundation to donate work outfits. I offered to have her dressed by the DvF foundation team. Heck I'd love to be dressed by them!

I've just ordered 8 pairs of suede nude shoes in slightly different styles and colours. DH is away so he is going to be a little perplexed at what is going on when he sees the credit card transactions.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 12/11/2018 19:07

I loved Kate in those sandals, I want them. I really dont like any of Kate’s court shoes whatever the colour, the shape just looks wrong to me and dare I say it they look more Stead and Simpson than Jimmy Choo. Love Kate in these she really suits a proper glamorous shoe, pretty much love all of Meghans shoes she does get them right I think.

I've got lovely pair of patent nudes from Next. Really comfy and a lovely heel. I went for the same shade as my skin colour and they always make an outfit look well put together.

TheDistantSky · 12/11/2018 19:11

Ah sorry! The thread has moved on!

TipseyTorvey · 12/11/2018 19:13

@MotherofPearl I totally agree with your view on the point of these threads. A little light speculation about how the RF do things or how people get on or get used to being part of the RF is fine but digging into their marriages and health not so much. Mainly though I'm here as miss those 'how to look expensive' threads and now I know how - marry a prince 😂.

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/11/2018 19:18

@Spudlet It was when she was on the cover of Vogue. Nice enough clothes but a total waste if you ask me. They could've showcased some gorgeous gowns by British designers but instead went for something that looked more suited to Town & Country or Horse & Hound rather than Vogue.

I'm just going through a KM Vogue style retrospective off the back of that - no dungarees yet, but some v lovely dresses. www.vogue.co.uk/gallery/style-file-catherine-duchess-of-cambridge

And I thought this was a lovely picture too.

I love patent leather, which really works well in my climate. But it has to be the real thing, so a bit soft and crinkly.

I agree that Letizia looks great in that dress. It's Carolina Herrera.

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/11/2018 19:25

Letizia wears a lot of Herrera doesn't she? And Hugo Boss. I guess if you find a designer that suits you then you stick with it!
