ella I’ve bought a couple of very nice Boden jumpers recently. I got a Logan in orange and a Heidi jumper in a turquoise colour. Both are lovely, would recommend.

NotAnActualSheep · 11/11/2018 14:18

Some lovely clothes mentioned! The bottle green velvet whistles puffa is gorgeous, and a good price too with the discount. I like that MV red leopard dress too. Was tempted by the shirt dress in the same print the other week (sleeves...I need sleeves), but I agree that the fabric/ polyester put me off. I'd be a sweaty mess more than usual in an hour... So many dresses are polyester at the moment too. Why oh why....?? I can understand using it for durability/ crease resistance in trousers and so on, but I'm really not keen on it in dresses, especially floaty/ lined ones. There are much nicer fabrics that hang better (and aren't such a victim of static).

Good jumper haul too. Hadn't seen those other stories ones before. They are really nice. The red especially. I think the neck would be a bit high for me though and I'm not going to try it, to prove me wrong.

I think I have the same boden turquoise Heidi jumper as @twosoups. I agree it's lovely! Just the right level of chunkiness and softness Smile. I got it in "seaweed" Hmm too, which is also a really nice colour. Have worn them loads, and no bobbling, even when washed. The cardigan (Jessica?) is the same. It is looooovely..quite a heavy weight, which I like, and lovely and soft. Not washed that one yet though (minger Blush).

Brummiegirl15 · 11/11/2018 14:53

Ella I've got the MV leather look leggings and they look pretty good on. They are actually cheaper than the Next pair, which surprises me for MV. Not worn them out yet though so will have to see how they fare.

Not been on the thread for a while, but did a bit of a Hush trying on sesh in JL Birmingham a couple of weeks ago and felt a bit deflated afterwards. Starting to think maybe Hush isn't for me and that at a size 14 and only 5 ft with huge norks due to breastfeeding I'm not the right shape.

I tried on the faces t-shirt finally after lusting after it for ages and with how enormous my boobs are, one of the faces sat right on my boob and really drew attention to it.

I also tried on the Bloomsbury dress, which I loved, but it looked so awful on me. Like a sack.

So truthfully Hush is making me feel a bit deflated at the moment. MV seems to be more me, but it's just so bloody expensive

Meh

I did my H&M and Zara returns today, had to get a trolley as I had so many boxes and bags to bring back. I ended up keeping the oversized rib jumpers in cream and grey in medium:

www2.hm.com/en_ie/productpage.0663016001.html

They are cosy and the neck does not irritate.

I still want a jumper itch I need to scratch - a slouchy, soft, navy cashmere but the neckline I want is proving elusive. I have a feeling the Hush boyfriend one is the closest in terms of neckline but even with a £20 off code it is still over budget (although maybe if I stopped buying every jumper I lay eyes on I would have enough for this one!)

Ella those MV leggings look so good, I have their regular leggings in black and navy and they are so comfy and high waisted, too.

Brummiegirl15 · 11/11/2018 16:25

miffy I'm a big fan of MV leggings, I'm a size 14 and had 2 babies and only 5 ft, so they defo do the job and not too expensive either

Primark had a copy of these if anyone is interested when I was in today .!

NotAnActualSheep · 11/11/2018 17:16

Why did I have to go onto the h and m website after a glass of wine??? I love everything about this outfit. And it may scratch my itch for a pink jumper. ( Being mohair, of course, it may just itch full stop).

Missbobbins · 11/11/2018 18:05

Hello lovely ladies. Happy Sunday!
I was hoping to ask your opinion - I am looking for some black biker boots that aren't too chunky or don't have furry insides (I get really hot feet!!) for skinnies and skirts...
Can you recommend any that don't cost the earth - Daniel footwear I am looking at you!! They are gorgeous but only the stuff of dreams at the mo! 🧡

What do you think of these?

Thank you as always lovely ladies :)

Alwaysasparklymoment99 · 11/11/2018 18:20

I think those ones are gorgeous. Only thing is, they aren't leather. Only a problem if that doesn't bother you.

hendricksy · 11/11/2018 18:22

I've just ordered the leggings from mv.. I'm short too and like that they do short length ! Thanks for the code @Ellapaella

Missbobbins · 11/11/2018 18:23

@Alwaysasparkly ohhh I thought they were leather... I thought the price was too good!

But do you think something along those lines would work with skinnies and skirts?

Xx

TheFormidableMrsC · 11/11/2018 18:38

I keep losing you ladies!! Haven't posted in a while as a result.

I wondered if anybody had bought the wide jersey top but the silver version? I am thinking it'd be a good Christmas top/going out top (I don't go out very much) but realistically, how much wear I am going to get out of it. I wear my other wide tops to death, not so easy with sparkles. Also, tempted to wait for a pre-Christmas discount a I am currently doing lots of e-bay selling. I am sure they did 20% last year? I suspect this top will disappear very quickly though. If anybody has one, I'd love to hear to from you!

Alwaysasparklymoment99 · 11/11/2018 18:38

Totally @bobbins. I think they look lovely. What is your max price?

Alwaysasparklymoment99 · 11/11/2018 18:40

I had ordered one and loved it but I have the gold sparkly easy dress and the silver one from last year so how many sparkly tops does one need??? So I reluctantly sent it back. Its really nice.

TheFormidableMrsC · 11/11/2018 18:46

Thank you @Alwaysasparklymoment99. I haven't got much sparkle but they're so comfortable and flattering and I think it would look fab with my MV fake leather leggings and heels. I might bite the bullet when I've sold some bits on e-bay...the only way I can justify my habit!

Alwaysasparklymoment99 · 11/11/2018 18:54

Me to @theformidablemrsc

Alwaysasparklymoment99 · 11/11/2018 18:54

*too

Ellapaella · 11/11/2018 19:12

@Missbobbins I have These boots from Office, a recent purchase. Bit strictly biker boots but they are just lovely and go with skinnies and dresses. Also worn them with my ruched skirt and Hush Meg zebra skirt and they look fab.

Ellapaella · 11/11/2018 19:14

I also have Boots also from office, got these a year ago and actually now I'm thinking about it I don't know where they are 😳
Haven't seen them for a while and had forgotten about them., Anyone would think I had too many pairs of shoes or something...

Anyway they are very nice, comfy, cheap and have lasted well. Now I just need to find them!

Ellapaella · 11/11/2018 19:15

If ever win the lottery Millionaireboots

Ellapaella · 11/11/2018 19:18

I like the Debenhams ones you've linked. I think for the price they look very good. I reckon you could some real leather ones for not much more though if you shop about a bit. Have you thought about DM's?

Laska3Meryl · 11/11/2018 19:22

I like the look of the MV leggings.... have given those a go

Ellapaella · 11/11/2018 19:25

Everybody whose ordered the MV leggings report back when they arrive - I noticed that online it said the model was wearing Medium Regular and she looks very thin of leg and was 5'10!
The size guide chart says a 10 is a small but looking at that model and given that MV sizing is usually pretty tight I went for the medium.
Fingers crossed they fit ok.

Laska3Meryl · 11/11/2018 19:25

DH wanted ideas for me earlier today ... I suggested the Cherry Zebra scarf, but am now thinking of asking for these bootsfor Birthday /Christmas..
What do we think?

I bought some gorgeous MV leggings in the sale, in charcoal, with ruched ankles wth ankle zips. They were £12. They are so incredibly comfortable and flattering. Worth a buy if they're still in!
