We moved into our current house on Xmas Eve. I think we only got in as I had complete hysterics at the Solicitor’s - we’d sold our previous house unexpectedly quickly and had been living in a caravan for 4 months. I was quite pregnant and suddenly had a total breakdown at the thought of being pregnant in a caravan at Xmas. We got the keys on the 23rd and I’m not sure how my DH managed it yet he somehow persuaded the removal/storage people to retrieve our furniture and deliver it on the 24th. Then about 4pm in the afternoon of Xmas eve I decided it would be bad luck not to have a tree. Given the size and freshness of the tree my poor DH finally struggled home with I suspect to this day that he dug it up from somewhere. I may have been a tad hormonal...
