Continuing the Hush (and other nice stuff) love...

Oops posted too early. @SoyYo - I missed that, have been watching I'm a celebrity with eldest ds (is a load of rubbish really but he likes me to watch it with him).
I have been a nurse for nearly 20 years now, I began my training at 19 so have never really known anything else. I've seen the NHS go through some tough times but honestly nothing like the last few years - I really can't see how it will survive under current pressures with such tremendous staffing shortages. It's scary.
I love my job with a passion though and still feel honoured to be doing it. I'm one of those strange people who wakes up in the morning and looks forward to going to work. I hope it stays that way I really do - I feel lucky to have chosen a career that is so fulfilling and interesting. The working day can be challenging but mostly our patients are so grateful and appreciative of all that we are doing it's quite humbling.

Crikey ladies, I am kind of hoping Hush have no deals this weekend Just kidding...I have done some serious damage on the ol' credit card this week and BF hasn't even happened yet.

Having hummed and hawwed for over a week now, I have decided that both my H&M chunky sweaters (cream and grey) are going back. Too itchy on the neck, sadly. However I have ordered a bunch of stuff from H&M, Topshop and River Island, including more jumpers with (hopefully better) roll necks, a cream blazer from H&M which I hope will be nice over all my black trousers and tops for going "out out' and then today....
a flipping leather jacket from all saints (the Conroy in Ink) along with the Witby jumper (the one I have had my eye on for a month or so) in black. I know I really wanted navy but I thought I would order this and see what it is like on. If I love love love it then all the other jumpers will be going back!
AllSaints have 30% off from today and I know their stuff sells out super quickly so I didn't dither. Better £ rate than € so I ordered through the UK forwarding service and I can send them back that way if needed.

I have my internet blinkers in place now. No more spending!

Hello. Posting late tonight. Shame about the MV leggings. My next ones are starting to go that way but I have worn them quite a lot. Where is @Laska? Hope she is ok. She hasn't posted for a couple of days and think I am getting meryl withdrawal!!!! Hope you and your family are ok and you are just busy :)

@Dave - I love the sparkly top. I think it looks gorgeous esp under the light when it all glitters. I had one but returned it simply because I have 2 dresses that are sparkly and I just couldn't justify another. I think you should definitely keep it.

Hello , all . sadly my Mother passed away on Monday, it was sudden and peaceful, but a real shock as we were expecting her maybe to be able to leave hospital soon to a care home , but she was overwhelmed by another set back.. I was on my way over anyway when the hospital called so at least we got to be with her .

So a lot going on ..

Thanks all. Sorry to derail the thread.. My mum loved fashion and always admired my new stuff (and was forever buying stuff for herself although in her latter years it was more M&S) . She really liked the Hush velvet jacket and the Meryls..(and my pink hair)

Please do get back to fashion talk.. Mum was a very stylish woman even in her 90's , and if she had ever got onto the net she'd have been just as much as a fashionista as we all are

Ella the nursing and other healthcare staff at the hospital were just great..and I know were devastated to lose her also. I know Cherries was also in healthcare.. Thanks so much for what you all do for us..

She was also a critic too! (thats one of the things i love about our little Hushista community here , we do tell it like it is but not in anyway to put down ) Great fashion sense and great advice..
