That's really kind of you @laska3meryl - I've just sent you a PM about the necklace!

dave those leggings look amazing on you! Definitely keep them. i think they're suppose to be tight, surely!

twosoups - That zara dress is really nice too. It would be too short for me, but if you have good legs would look amazing.

dontcallmelen · 15/11/2018 15:05

Gin once you get the war paint on & outfit sounds great, you will feel more in the mood have a great time & hopefully you can factor in a really good rest tomorrow.
Soy thank you will have a look.

Does anyone here have the Hush Evie skirt? I’ve bought in 2 sizes but can’t decide - I wondered how anyone else found the sizing?

Alwaysasparklymoment99 · 15/11/2018 15:38

@raisins I ordered it and returned it. It seemed true to size on me. Tbh, I didn't really like the hem on it. For me, it was neat on the waist in the 12 but I have a wobbly tummy so find that in a lot of hush fitted things. How do you find it?

Ellapaella · 15/11/2018 15:58

Soups I like that dress personally. I was just digging an old 60's (or maybe 70's? Dunno) similar style dress out of my wardrobe the other day. I've never worn it, picked it up in a charity shop. It's very 'ahem' bright but I actually quite like it.
Also returned my H&M jumper today and picked this oversized one up on the way out. I like it with the MV leggings.

@Laska3Meryl I really like your grey Meryl by the way

Alwaysasparklymoment99 · 15/11/2018 16:16

Really like the jumper and the dress on you @ella. The jumper looks like the one I have in my basket online except in a lighter grey. Was it the knitted polo neck jumper at £24.99?

Alwaysasparklymoment99 · 15/11/2018 16:17

I think the MV leggings and jumper look fantastic.

Ellapaella · 15/11/2018 16:21

@Alwaysasparklymoment99 yes! Except it's £15 in store today in a flash sale! I really like it.

raisinsraisins · 15/11/2018 16:22

@Alwaysasparklymoment99 I really like it and like the hem, although it’s a shame to be able to see the inside of the fabric. The size 12 is snug on my waist but looks good, but as I’m tall I thought the size 14 was a better length as I can wear it slightly lower on the hips. Think I’m going to keep the size 12 as the smaller fit is more flattering around the top part of the skirt.

Thought I might be able to wear it with a black top tucked in with a belt over the top. Can anyone recommend a good belt for this?

My last skirt from Hush was a size 10 and big on me!

dontcallmelen · 15/11/2018 16:26

Ella love love the dress, that’s right up my street.

SoyYo · 15/11/2018 16:38

Phew! Glad that presentation is over 😅
ella looking fab in both outfits, like the new jumper and why on Earth haven’t you worn that dress? Really suits you.

gin Florence gig!! Brill! Hope you enjoy tonight and feel up to it once you’ve dolled yourself up, it’s a bit hard going when you’re feeling below par but I bet you’ll be glad you pushed yourself at the end of it. Just make sure you take it easy for the rest of the week

SoyYo · 15/11/2018 17:00

raisin the Evie skirt is great! I don’t own it but it can easily be dressed up or down, I spotted this sparkly teal camo that could be fab with it for an evening out with a black biker jacket: www.next.co.uk/g8040s18?dclid=CKbHj5Hrx94CFYKsUQodLwwKzQ
Just throwing it as an idea as I think the colour would go with the skirt and it’s different.

Boden have a reduced skinny black belt that would go with it
m.boden.co.uk/en-gb/womens-accessories/belts/a0294-blk/womens-black-skinny-waist-belt

Or a black studded belt if you want to make it more RocknRoll, ASOS and Zara have fake cheap versions if you search them online. I have an old Baukjen studded belt real leather great quality which goes with everything (work stuff, jeans, dresses) but just looked online and they don’t stock it anymore. Or even the pricier Hush belts would be great.

Hope this gives you ideas

twosoups1972 · 15/11/2018 17:24

@ellapaella love that dress on you Smile I might try the Zara dress.

Going back to Hush, has anyone tried the Emilia bell sleeve dress?

twosoups1972 · 15/11/2018 17:28

@laska love the Boden skirt.

Hope everyone is having a good Thursday. I just had a lovely cinema outing with my 11 year old dd to see The Grinch, she had a random INSET day.

raisinsraisins · 15/11/2018 17:38

SoyYo - thanks so much for those ideas. A studded belt sounds good. Might need to get a wider belt as it will need to cover the top tucked into skirt.

DavetheCat2001 · 15/11/2018 19:11

Love the 60's dress @Ellapaella ! Is that it with the MV leggings too? They look really nuce on you.. still not sure about them on me.

Ellapaella · 15/11/2018 19:48

@DavetheCat2001 the dress is just with a pair of tights.
Jumper is with the MV leggings. I think they look great on you - are you going to keep?

Laska3Meryl · 15/11/2018 20:06

I wore the grey Meryl out this arvo to collect order from M&S .. (waited until Hush had sent me a dispatch notice for the other £90 one.. so I will be Laska3Meryls again tomorrow,!! But on Saturday I shall send the new one back with the old ones £110 receipt ..(um....) .

i cannot afford anything else..

Luckily all Boden went back.. the 2 tops which came today were too big (and garish also, i'm still waiting for the poinsettia glitter one ella posted . and the skirt turned out to be exactly the colour of my old summer school uniform..(which i still shudder about) ..

M&S order also all returned.. all dreadful, I am not doing very well with christmas present buying so far , Have got DH a nice cashmere jumper (in Fuschia -he will really like it I'm sure ) from JL though ..

Laska3Meryl · 15/11/2018 20:09

DavetheCat2001 · 15/11/2018 20:31

I probably will keep them ella as they are comfy.

Just feeling generally bleurrrrgh at the moment...has anyone else here 40+ had/remember having HORRIFIC periods pre-menopause?

I'm not sure if I'm peri or not, but bloody hell I am floored each month since having my kids with painful and heavy periods...sorry for TMI.

whiskyremorse · 15/11/2018 20:31

Have any of you 'leather lovers' seen the Baukjen leather trousers brown size 12 on eBay? Might be worth a look if that's your size. Oh I'm not the seller I just stalk clothes on eBay lol

whiskyremorse · 15/11/2018 20:31

Leggings not trousers

Alwaysasparklymoment99 · 15/11/2018 20:35

They look a a great price but there is no mention that they have been dry cleaned after wear so would be very fussy about that.

Laska3Meryl · 15/11/2018 20:38

whisky I saw earlier that there was a Hush Sabrina charcoal cardi sz M on ebay at the mo also .. bids at £40 and buy it now £59 Wink
