@Laska3Meryl glad you managed to use the voucher - the Breton top is lovely. I will probably go back for it if still available after I have remortgaged my house to pay for car repairs.

Welcome coriander and fairies I guess the trick with the S&M...sorry MV leggings is to wear them as cherries said with enough coverage, I can attest they don’t give you camel toe!

Hi all! Sorry I'm so rubbish at keeping up. At work tonight, but managed to wear my Hush black sweatshirt with the pink lightning flash in. A number of admirers, a couple who had never heard of Hush so am spreading the word!

I haven't been buying anything clothes wise as have just had DS2's birthday. DS3's Birthday is in 3 weeks time and then there's Christmas, so I'll be saving up for the sales I think.

Oh, I have indulged a little in a Diptyque candle and a few Jo Loves (Jo Malone) items but I need to sell a few more bits on eBay before any more money is spent.

Morning all. Not posted for a few weeks but just wanted to share my excitement - I have a work event today in a city with both a JL Hush concession and an actual Mint Velvet shop. I'm after a black marina skirt...and maybe those MV leather leggings too

@Mary Yes, charcoal definitely. I think the blouse the model has on is more charcoal than black in real life... The skirt colours are quite muted, so it should look lovely with navy, charcoal and possibly lighter colours (light grey picking up the colour around the spots, or even a beige/ oatmeal if you can find one that doesn't look too stark...). I shouldn't wear black either, so my colour consultant would be proud of me trying to find alternatives! I might try it with the Scarlett oatmeal jumper which I got in the flash sale a few weeks ago, which might work.

Enjoy your candle fudge - they are such nice feel-good items that are better for the bank balance than Meryl's! And bug, I hope you manage to sneak away from work early enough to make use of the shopping opportunities! ( I always have good intentions whenever I go to London to do the same, but end up so knackered from an early start, or with feet aching from inappropriate footwear I never quite manage it!)

I'm not leaving the house today until picking up DS, so not intending on removing the toasty slippers as if I usually do

Baukjen leather legging update. They are sadly too baggy round the crotch and have a bit of a jodhpur vibe going on on the outer thighs. I don’t think a 10 would work yet as a smaller or tighter rise would be too small.

Which means in hush currency I’ve saved 2.5 Meryls.

Well I wish mine didn't fit @cherries. I exchanged mine for another pair because of a loose stitch that was bugging me and they fit perfectly. Then again, I am pear shaped so I fill the hip bit out in mine and find them pretty narrow to get on. I have saved money in my paypal as there are so many things to buy this month so its not like its real money - right? Anyway, hope you find a pair that suits. You should try the hush ones again. They are narrow so am sure they would be good. I have to wriggle mine on.

One thing to bear In mind is that they will stretch out a bit. Even after trying the original hush ones I had, they had stretched out a bit more so were easier getting on and off. They are very comfy on though!!! The only thing is though, I am scared to wear them incase I dirty them - stupid, I know.

Thinking carefully about what I am wearing under them. Tried them on with my dm's and cashmere jumper and I liked the look. Was worried it might look a bit too much but it was fine. I left the bottoms a bit ruched rather than tucking them in and they looked good.

Oh was going to try some tights under them to protect them - less wiping and washing. Then again, maybe to hot!!!!

On the R&B boots front, I've found a similar pair from Office:

Ok here are photos grey Meryl ( which I love/ and MV leggings which I think are going back . I really don't feel right in then
they look fine I think but just don't feel 'me'. I think I would always feel self conscious in them . But the M&S one s I do really love and feel good in ( photo of just the leggings) . They are coated by sort of cracked leather look. I've tried to show you the texture. These are only 19.50 and feel much better and more robust. And definitely Me ! .
I really shouldn't keep the Meryl though. I havespent a lot ( don't need to know about Ros Mari sale!!) I need to look at bank account .

Laska the grey Meryl looks really lovely, also the MV leggings but if you don’t feel comfortable & prefer the M&S best to go with the ones you will wear, although I do think they both look great.
