GrinSoyo yes I am going to have to be creative with my wardrobe. Truth is I have plenty, I really don't need anything else right now. But I do need my boring old car..

Laska3Meryl · 14/11/2018 13:53

Ooh I'd like it Ella if you still have it xx

Loving all the leather-look leggings! I'm getting impatient for mine now.

soy - they look great on you! What a shame about the blouse, though. It is so frustrating when you can't match something lovely with anything else to do it justice. I'm sure you'll find something to go with the skirt, though the velvety top you had on in the original photo was lovely. Maybe just a plain black top with a funky scarf or something to pick up the sparkle in the skirt?

I'm sorry to hear about your car ella. It's annoying to have to spend perfectly good money on something so dull... The wall at the back of our garden is shared with a cemetery (nice neighbours..) and they had a survey done which showed it needed pretty extensive repairs, with the cost shared between them and the neighbours. Fair enough, I don't want it to fall on anyone, but it's such a dull thing to pay for... (the stonemason who came round to do the survey has said he'll repoint our front wall at the same time for free, so its not all doom and gloom).

SoyYo · 14/11/2018 14:52

Thanks not I think you’re right. I do have some very plain black tops already which are not strictly evening tops but just with the skirt being so sparkly anyway could easily be dressed up. I think I’ll give up for now and rethink it.
I have plenty of fabulous necklaces and lovely scarves to dress them up with. I’m determined not to purchase yet another eve wear outfit that never gets worn again!

The Hush and MV top returns are packed ready to post on my way to Pilates class later this afternoon.

Ellapaella · 14/11/2018 14:52

@Laska3Meryl of course. Off to pick up my courtesy car and will PM you with it when I get back.

Ellapaella · 14/11/2018 15:17

@Laska3Meryl check your inbox. Hope it works x

dontcallmelen · 14/11/2018 15:20

My MV stuff has come, will try on leggings in a while
A pic of the blush jumper, it’s sooo comfy & soft (cotton & bit of cashmere) not a great pic but hopefully you can see it.

I love it @dontcallmelen! Looks lovely MV good quality imo.

SoyYo · 14/11/2018 15:39

melen it’s a gorgeous colour! Can’t see clearly how it looks on, so glad you’re happy, and hope the MV leggings are a winner for you too Wink

Well having stated I’ve given up on my black top search... fickle soy has ordered yet another black shirt just to see and use Johnnies 25% discount and £10 voucher...with all that it’s practically the same cost (only additional £6) as the polyester Hush shirt and pure silk...I know I could definitely wear this one for work as I own other Boden silk shirts and they wash and last really well. Went for the slightly more “dressed up” version as opposed to the plain style with concealed buttons silk shirts I usually buy there.
Hope the silk quality is good and the tiny frills don’t detract but add a bit of oomph to the gold sequin skirt.
Last chance saloon as I can’t be bothered to try anymore potential black tops and at least Johnnie is swift with refunding returns.
Keep you posted!

Well, I’m sitting here having a WTAF moment. Two months ago I got approval for an NHS breast reduction. My original date was 23 Feb, then it got moved to end March, then to ‘late summer’. The approval process took so long I just can’t stand to have it hanging over me much longer, plus convinced at some point that the nhs will stop even clinically indicated reductions. So I’ve just made a private appt for a consultation in 10 days. Eep. I’m really scared but I’m so out of proportion now, my shoulders are a mess and my posture is getting awful. Even my hideously expensive R&P bras aren’t really up to the task. I never thought I’d have cosmetic surgery but the thought of heaving these boulders round for rest of my life just depresses me. So, um. Shit.

Ellapaella · 14/11/2018 16:39

My Skechers arrived - have to go back as so uncomfortable on my wide flippers. On the plus side i'd also ordered theses from Esprit which are super comfy and I'm thrilled with them.

Car damage is £577!😫😢

@ilovecherries someone I know had that surgery in Newcastle. Where are you going for it if you don't mind me asking?

ilovecherries · 14/11/2018 17:27

I’ve booked a consultation at Woodhall in Darlington, but if you had a recommendation, I’d be very willing to go to Nuffield at Newcastle. The person I really wanted (Edinburgh) can’t even do an initial consultation till March then possibly another 3 month wait for surgery - and that’s private. The NHS consultant who I’m booked with doesn’t do private work.

ilovecherries · 14/11/2018 17:30

I’d really like to meet at least a couple of surgeons to discuss, even though you need to pay for the consultation. It’s big surgery, so I want to get it right!

MaryJenson · 14/11/2018 17:36

I though this thread was about Hush 😐

I have the Dionne skirt but looking for ideas on how to style it.

Ellapaella · 14/11/2018 17:45

@ilovecherries I will speak to my friend and get back to you. She had hers done on the NHS though. DH is a Consultant at Newcastle Hospitals - not a breast surgeon -but he may have an idea or can ask around to see who is highly regarded for breast surgery. I'll PM you in a day or two.

ilovecherries · 14/11/2018 18:18

That would be great, Ella, thank you!

ilovecherries · 14/11/2018 18:21

Mary, these threads started off with a shared love of Hush but have gradually evolved to be about all our clothes and other stuff as well :). I don’t have that skirt, so not much help, but sure someone will be along soon with ideas.

SoyYo · 14/11/2018 18:34

Mary it’s not all about Hush anymore we’d be bored to tears just talking about it after a year ++ Grin but you could style it with any black or forest green top you have, a slouchy jumper in those colours would look fab with the skirt, ditto a shirt as per the pic.
always and not who regularly post on this thread have it so I’m sure they’ll be along soon with more ideas...

cherries very brave of you on the surgery front, totally understand your reasons. I do hope you find someone good 👍

Alwaysasparklymoment99 · 14/11/2018 18:36

I have it and usually wear it with a neat black jumper, tights and ankle boots. You could also wear it with a deeper green [ if you look closely at the print, there is a deeper green in it] I would pick up that colour. I would think that any top should just sit below the waistband and not be too long but I think it depends upon your body shape. I am a pear and don't suit things tucked in but the model looks lovely with her top tucked in. I think a beautiful plain dark green silk top [ totally plain without buttons or any fuss] would look good too or a lovely dark green fine and neat knitted jumper just below waistband length.

Alwaysasparklymoment99 · 14/11/2018 18:38

It depends how long it is but the Paloma forest green jumper would probably look lovely with it.

Alwaysasparklymoment99 · 14/11/2018 18:40

..but it depends upon the green and its difficult to say if they are on the right tones. I have also worn mine with a black jersey top and a my long sabrina charcoal cardigan and ankle boots. The sabrina cardigan is a perfect length but it has to be the charcoal one as the olive green one doesn't match.

SoyYo · 14/11/2018 18:46

Forgot to add navy blue would look good too with the green skirt, and hoodies to dress it down with trainers, biker boots or dress up with kitten heels

Laska3Meryl · 14/11/2018 18:54

Oh cherries I do understand . I would so like mine reduced as well. (You may think that's weird at a 36e ) but I long and have longed for years for the nice neat B cup I had in my youth ..

As I get older I actually think I hate my boobs now..just annoying appendages which get in the way and mean that I have this horrible matronly shelf in my clothes ..However even if i could afford it , no surgeon would reduce mine so much I suspect as I am well in 'normal' range. but yes, I hate them.. and what really annoys me is they just dont go when I lose weight.
