always enjoy your Wed Friday feeling! Good you spotted the loose thread but that it didn’t put you off from swapping them. I hope the next pair are even more perfect Smile

SoyYo · 13/11/2018 21:45

Oh I meant to add on the beauty buy bargain front Body Shop has 40% off a lot of lovely things at the moment, good for Xmas fillers and I stocked up on my daily essential Moringa Body Butter and Hemp hand cream 👌they make lovely pressies too

whiskyremorse · 13/11/2018 21:51

Soy if you'd like to volunteer for a charity but aren't available in the day then have you thought about being a Trustee? I work for a charity and our board meet in the evenings. It's worth finding your local volunteer centre as they will have adverts for volunteer roles. We've used skilled people to help with our business plan and finances for example. Depends on your skills and interests but worth a look! Just a thought from a charity manager currently wearing Hush pyjamas Smile

SoyYo · 13/11/2018 22:08

whisky Thank You! I have business skills and never thought about volunteering as a Trustee. I’ll look into it Smile

I was just thinking about the hush wide jersey top. Pity that they didn't make it in a sumptuous velvet. I would have snapped that up.

ilovecherries · 13/11/2018 23:29

Oh yes, velvet. I’d have had that. Am so tempted to take a pattern off one of my wide tops and have a go at making one in the different fabric or colour. I’d live in them if I could, but they really aren’t wearing well despite being washed in unicorn tears. My pale gray one is a rag.

Laska, big hug, it all sounds very sad and worrying for you.

Alwaysasparklymoment99 · 14/11/2018 02:14

I live in mine too @cherries. Agree though about them wearing badly. The grey and the black v- necks are looking a bot worn and bobbly. The only one that's done well is the green round neck. Mine is still relatively new though but the material feels more robust. Would have been tempted by charcoal one but feel i have loads of things in charcoal.

miffy2 · 14/11/2018 08:11

Re the wide tops, my black one from last year (the first release) is like new. The grey is wrecked and this year’s grey V neck is going the same way. Very strange.

I imagine it would be easy enough to copy as the design seems quite simple (says she who has not made anything with a sewing machine, ever)

Ellapaella · 14/11/2018 08:29

My green one is fine and I've washed it loads now. Stopped bothering to turn inside out etc and it just goes on a 40 wash with everything else. It's really odd if they are all the same composition.
£45 is a lot of money for a simple jersey too though if it loses its shape and looks rubbish after just a few washes. I'd be very peeved.

ilovecherries · 14/11/2018 10:27

Mine are always washed inside out, in a net bag, with woolite on a hand wash cycle. Maybe I need to start treating them mean!

Laska3Meryl · 14/11/2018 10:36

My wide tops are all doing well. Ihave green and Charcoal from this year and grey and black from last. The only one which is looking slightly worn is last year's grey. Iwash them in the machine also ! Perhaps because of my'extensive' wardrobe I don't wear them as much as others do . Didn't buy the V neck ones though. Today I am wearing pink Meryl and the M&S leggings I bought yesterday to work. Had lots of compliments ..

MV coated leggings arrived and I really like them, thanks @Ella for the tip!

Ellapaella · 14/11/2018 12:18

👍 you're welcome Soyo glad you like them.

SoyYo · 14/11/2018 12:27

Here I am trying the MV leggings in my conservatory with the Hush Saffron blouse which is too “peasant blousy” voluminous for my shape so the top unfortunately is going back, I also tried it with the sequin skirt and it doesn’t flatter my top half at all Sad so it will be going back. As a comparison what I look like with same leggings and a shortish Hush Stella jumper (in RL will wear with longer tops that cover bum) and you can see my body is top heavy but not as unbalanced as with the Hush Saffron top.

I also got this MV top to try with the sequin skirt and again makes me look huge on top vs my lower half

I dunno it’s soo hard I may have to resort to Bravissimo to find an evening top that fits my boobs but skims the rest of my body.
I don’t usually mind my big boobs but it’s so damm hard not too look matronly...

Leggings look fab Soyo.
The top you had on in your photo with the skirt looked lovely - could you wear that again? And the blazer you were wearing was a perfect match and really balances it all out beautifully.
Is that a Hush star sweater? Looks lovely.

SoyYo · 14/11/2018 12:40

@Ella yes I may have to wear exactly the same outfit (was trying to avoid that tbh but it was far far better than the alternatives I tried to date Hmm)
I also have LBD as alternative so not short on evening wear options.
On the plus side the leggings are perfect, what a find! Thanks again Smile

SoyYo · 14/11/2018 12:41

Yes it’s the current season Hush Stella jumper I got in the Flash sale (third one I own just cause they flatter me Wink)

DavetheCat2001 · 14/11/2018 12:41

Those look great on you SoyYo!

Boo though..MV are sold out of the M in regular. I have ordered the S to try on (thanks for the discount code Laska) but they may be a bit tight round the tum as I have put on a bit of weight since August..I haven't run in weeks and have been snacking a bit too much through stress/boredom.

Will report back when they arrive though x

SoyYo · 14/11/2018 12:48

@dave thank you! I reckon the S will fit you, I’m also half stone too fat yet the M were a good fit and sending back the L I also bought thinking the M would be too small. I’m a hefty size 12 bottom half. Fingers crossed for you 🤞they’re super comfy with the high waist which also minimises muffin top

Ellapaella · 14/11/2018 12:51

If anyone would like my £10 off a £30 spend voucher for Boden then you'd be welcome to it. I've just taken my car in for an MoT and it needs loads of work doing. So bit a penny spare cash for me until Christmas now. I actually feel a bit sick at the amount of stuff they have to do including replacing the entire handbrake 🤢😢

Ellapaella · 14/11/2018 12:52

*not a spare penny

ilovecherries · 14/11/2018 13:12

Oh no, Ella, cars are such money pits :(

SoyYo · 14/11/2018 13:24

@ella that’s a bummer but it may force you to look harder at your wardrobe and come up with new creative combos, I look forward to reading your outfit for today posts, it could be the inspiration we all need!

Ellapaella · 14/11/2018 13:24

Such a boring thing to spend money on..
I wasn't expecting so much work to be honest, it's not a very old car and has been serviced regularly.
