Kerastraight permant blow dry - anyone had one?

I’ve got fine, highlighted quite fluffy hair that goes frizzy at the drop of a hat. My hairdresser has suggested I would benefit from a permanent keratin blow dry ( which lasts around 4-5 months?) as it would make my hair much more sleek and easy to manage.
Sounds great....but it’s about £170! Would anyone recommend it, or not? I’m interested in people’s experiences and whether it’s worth the money. Thank you!

I'm using the Cocochoco Clarifying shampoo and the Kallos Keratin Mask conditioner (got both from amazon). Both great.

This is my natural hair. I use lots of oils because it looks and feels really dry without. Just want smoother hair not poker straight.

Ah awesome Roobub. What size coccocho gold stuff did you get?

Roobub · 11/12/2018 15:54

Wow Yoyooyo your hair is beautiful! To be honest it doesn't look to me like it needs anything doing to it at all!
I got the 250 ml bottle of Chocococo gold, but I only used about half.

I've just bought Keratin Complex which I am yet to try. Will let you know. I am on day 2 of my post Keratin CocoChocco treatment.

Yoyooyo, it may look poker straight when they have done it at the salon but after that I think your hair will be a little straighter, but shinier and it will feel like satin. Your hair is nice anyway.

Thanks guys x

So it's not like it changes the bonds of the hair just makes it smoother for a bit?

SilkenTofu · 12/12/2018 06:34

I think that is a technical Q you need to ask your hairdressers. All I can say is that if you do not use an appropriate shampoo and conditioner, it will wash out. After about 3-4 months it will wear off too. It is not a permanent thing, if that half answers your question.

Om I've ordered. Eeekkk. Arriving tomorrow. I will post before and after pics as well.

For the home products is it ok to use on dyed hair? I’m having my hair lightened and wasn’t sure if I could still use it

SilkenTofu · 12/12/2018 19:56

Different hairdressers say different things. I do mine 2 weeks before I have my roots done. Its never affected the colour and vice versa.

Roobub · 12/12/2018 20:41

I have coloured hair and it was fine. Has been a while since I last coloured it though. I was planning to move onto using the Lush Caca Marron henna instead of box dye... Not sure if this would be OK, I've never used henna but I've heard it can be quite tricky.
