Kerastraight permant blow dry - anyone had one?

I’ve got fine, highlighted quite fluffy hair that goes frizzy at the drop of a hat. My hairdresser has suggested I would benefit from a permanent keratin blow dry ( which lasts around 4-5 months?) as it would make my hair much more sleek and easy to manage.
Sounds great....but it’s about £170! Would anyone recommend it, or not? I’m interested in people’s experiences and whether it’s worth the money. Thank you!

Ok so here is my hair tonight. As you can see it’s quite fuzzy and dry at the ends and if I let it dry naturally it goes into uneven frizzy curls. Will post again tomorrow post treatment and see what the difference is!

OP did you have the treatment today?

Roobub · 13/11/2018 20:05

I can't wait to see. It'd be great to have an update in a month or so too to see how it holds up! Hope you love the results!

Mayhemmumma · 13/11/2018 20:06

Oohh keen to hear update...I want this treatment!

WobbleTime · 13/11/2018 20:33

I’m having the treatment tomorrow. Will post a photo tomorrow night and you can all judge whether it’s made a difference!

And yes, I’ll try and post another photo in a few weeks to see how it’s holding up to washing, blow drying etc
I’m unreasonably excited about tomorrow and have visions of being all swishy haired and glamorous!

Instead of looking a bit fuzzy and mad like I do most of the time!

I am thinking of having this done, good luck for tomorrow. Looking forward to the update picture!

I’ve not heard of this but I’ll definitely be looking in to it if the OPs goes well 😁

WobbleTime · 14/11/2018 16:00

So, I’ve had it done and I like it! My hair feels much better and it looks longer and bizarrely also blonder! The test will be after I wash it and see what happens as obviously it’s been washed and blow dried after the treatment and it always looks nicer after a professional blow dry! Will post photos when kids get home and one of them can take a photo of the back of my head for me!

It looks lovely! Please keep us updated on how it looks after washing! I've told my husband this is what I want for Christmas and I can't wait. He was much less enthusiastic when he realised a Brazilian blow dry wasn't what he thought it was 😂

RadioDorothy · 14/11/2018 19:46

I paid £165 for one of these 9 weeks ago and I loved it - but sadly it's worn off now. Sad

I used sulphate free shampoo but I'm a bit disappointed - I've had a couple before and they lasted 4-5 months, what went wrong this time?

Roobub · 14/11/2018 20:26

@RadioDorothy was it a branded treatment like Kerastraight? And was it the exact same treatment, at the same place etc that you've had before? It's strange that it wouldn't work well if you had a good result before?!

WobbleTime · 14/11/2018 20:36

Oh Dorothy, that’s not good that yours has worn off!!!!!! My hairdresser says 4/5 months for mine but I admit I am nervous to wash it in case it just hasn’t worked.
What treatment did you have? Was it Keraspa?

Roobub - your poor husband and his disappointing Brazilian blow dry 😂😂😂 poor bloke 😀

It looks fab. Your 'before' hair is exactly like mine so I am very tempted to give it a go!

RadioDorothy · 15/11/2018 07:11

I don't know the brand but I had it done at quite a salubrious and popular salon in my home town. They took an enormous amount of time and care over it, they do hundreds apparently.

My 2 previous ones were done by my ex-SIL (qualified experienced hairdresser) who bought the stuff wholesale and did it at her house for about £70 - they lasted ages!

Never saw the brand of any of them, but the only obvious difference was that for my long-lasting ones I had to leave the stuff in for 3 days, but for the recent expensive one they washed it out at the salon before I left, saving me smelling of cats piss...
