Here we go again!

And by popular demand, here are the previous threads:

Special edition: Eugenie wedding thread

Harry and Meghan have 2 days more in NZ before they head back to London and, if I was her, I'd put on pyjamas, get Netflix fired up, and not leave my bed for several days! William and Kate will be out for a sporty engagement in Essex tomorrow and I'm sure we'll start to see them more as she's now officially back from maternity leave..

No idea what the continental royals are up to but New My Royals (does that title even make sense?) is my go-to link for them!

Actually I see quite a few women who are thinner

that's so sad

DontCallMeCharlotte · 01/11/2018 11:22

Actually I see quite a few women who are thinner.

You'd do well to actually see them at all then Grin

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 01/11/2018 11:35

I think the York Girls are good role models for a healthy size.
Apparently Fergie taught them quite a lot about healthy eating when she was a weight watchers spokesperson in the US in the 90s

I loved Michelle Obama's "let's move" and healthy eating campaigns"
Food is Meghan's area, so maybe she can talk about healthy weight to young women.

I hope Meghan doesn't shrink suddenly after having the baby.

Kate already did a lot of post partum mums good appearing on the Lindo wing steps with her little bump and maternity dress after each baby. Each time, (not withstanding the blow drys and heels) she looked so radiant and happy.

Yes the Spanish PM is hot, but not as hot as the Norwegian King. I'll try find a pic

This fella

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 01/11/2018 11:46

Erm.... that’s the Crown Prince Haakon.
The Norwegian Prime Minister is actually a woman

Want2bSupermum · 01/11/2018 11:55

It's not sad. They aren't unhealthy. Just at the lower end of their BMI range. I would expect DofC is at the lower end too. The York girls are probably at the upper end of the BMI range of normal or overweight.

Honestly I'm standing in line for the bus and there are 10 or so women, 2 of whom are same size as DofC. I rarely see many women that size when I'm home.

user1457017537 · 01/11/2018 12:01

The York girls are quite slim in real life. Remember the camera adds 10 lbs.

I think MM showing her knickers is unfortunate.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 01/11/2018 12:02

Speaking of the Norwegian Royals; here is Prince Sverre Magnus, ( youngest child of Haakon & Mette-Marit) on the royal balcony.

The colour of the back pleat where there is no leg is the same colour as where there is leg...

Letizia looking fabulous last week.
I love the flash of white on her shoes to coordinate with the Carolina Herrera dress. I absolutely love the diamond hoops.

There are alternating black and royal blue hidden pleats and the main ( outside) colour is navy blue

SleepingStandingUp · 01/11/2018 12:16

I meant the tan looking pleats. So this def isn't leg, so is it just sheer around the bum!?

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 01/11/2018 12:17

Next have a cheaper version of the skirt

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 01/11/2018 12:20

That’s her skin showing through the seams.
It probably didn’t show on the show room, and also it wouldn’t have been quite as tight.
Bright sunshine and changing / expanding shape has made for an unfortunate photo.
The next outing for this particular skirt will require some black; knee length spanx

Haworthia · 01/11/2018 12:22

Haworthia not quite the same as I only have the one DD who is 13mo but I’m about 2 stone lighter a decade on.

I knew I should have put a caveat to say it obviously depends what your average weight was in your 20s Grin I mean (and I don’t want to insult you by accident here!) if you were carrying a little bit of chub then yes, you might find yourself dramatically slimmer in your mid 30s with multiple pregnancies under your belt. With someone like Kate who was already perfectly slim, that degree of weight loss (and maintaining it) takes a lot of effort.

SleepingStandingUp · 01/11/2018 12:23

It clearly isn't skin at the back.

I expect this skirt will not get recycled anyway

peridito · 01/11/2018 12:26

We'll have to agree to disagree want2be.

To me keeping oneself at the lower end of one's BMI might not make you physically unhealthy but diverts time and emotional energy that could be used so much more constructively .

And IMO results in ppl priortising thinness and feeling that they are a failure if they can't keep their weight low .

I think that's sad .

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 01/11/2018 12:29

I hope not; it’s one of her best outfits. I’m definitely going out to buy a pleated colour block skirt on the strength of it.

Although you’re probably right; the skirt is notorious now, and any future outing will dig out the bum flashing photos.

SenecaFalls · 01/11/2018 12:30

I hope she does wear it again. It is so beautiful.

AhoyDelBoy · 01/11/2018 12:36

@Haworthia
I’ve never been overweight according to BMI but have gone from about 58kg or so in my 20s to now 48kg in my 30s. So probably top end of BMI to very bottom end maybe slightly underweight? And to maintain it I do diddly squat 🤷🏼‍♀️ Maybe it’s a stress thing for the DoC, I really don’t know. I agree with others who have commented she looks very thin in the blue dress. Strangely she looks thinner in that than the black outfit the day before where I thought she looked perfectly fine.

AhoyDelBoy · 01/11/2018 12:42

Not necessarily talking about the DoC here peridito but some people are just naturally very small and thin.

peridito · 01/11/2018 12:48

Yes I agree ,some are .

But I read want2be 's post as suggesting that lots of ppl in NY were thin . And it made me think that this wasn't down to some NY gene variant but hard work .

QueenOfTheAndals · 01/11/2018 13:57

I'm guessing that can be narrowed down to most women in Manhatten are thin!
