Here we go again!

Special edition: Eugenie wedding thread

Harry and Meghan have 2 days more in NZ before they head back to London and, if I was her, I'd put on pyjamas, get Netflix fired up, and not leave my bed for several days! William and Kate will be out for a sporty engagement in Essex tomorrow and I'm sure we'll start to see them more as she's now officially back from maternity leave..

No idea what the continental royals are up to but New My Royals (does that title even make sense?) is my go-to link for them!

Yes she always looks immaculate and dresses to suit her figure.

Paradyning · 01/11/2018 08:24

Agreed!

mmmgoats · 01/11/2018 08:39

Ah i’m really sad the tour is over - I bet H&M aren’t though!
I really like Kate in the blue Jenny Packham she looks lovely. She does look very slim but you do lose weight from your face as you get older so I imagine that plays a part too.
I think she’s properly got a strict regime for non pregnant, pre-natal and post-natal and sticks to it. Her figure never seems to fluctuate much.

Anybody seen any pictures of the Sussexes at the airport for their flight home?

user1457017537 · 01/11/2018 08:53

Peridito I couldn’t agree more. I think Camilla dresses beautifully and her outfits look stunning.

peridito · 01/11/2018 09:02

I wonder if the success with Camilla is that she has little fashion interest /likes to wear relaxed country stuff so she just hands herself over to her dressers ? Whereas someone in Meghan's position who does have an interest and an already formed opinion of what to wear muddies the water a bit by imposing her own taste more ?

If any of that makes sense .

peridito · 01/11/2018 09:04

Or I guess Camilla being older is easier to dress in more conservative outfits ?

megletthesecond · 01/11/2018 09:15

76 engagements in 16 days is a lot to be switched on for.

AgathaRaisinDetra · 01/11/2018 09:37

That's a mighty regal camel toe.

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 01/11/2018 09:38

I love the way Camilla dresses. Looking forward to more outfits

BowTieBaby · 01/11/2018 09:48

@TipseyTorvey oh Kate was bigger before the wedding. Look at old photos. Then between the engagement being announced and the day of the wedding you could literally see her becoming smaller every week.

Haworthia · 01/11/2018 09:58

Yeah, I hate to bang on about Kate’s weight but it’s not true that she’s “never been any bigger”. She is much, much thinner than she was in her 20s. No woman naturally finds herself a stone or two lighter a decade later, after three kids.

beanaseireann · 01/11/2018 10:20

I think Kate has a will of iron to stay so slim.
Posters who say that she's that slim because of all the running around after the children make me laugh at their naievity.
With all the staff she has
Give me a break!
I wish I had that will of iron- there's a ton of goodies left over from Halloween - we didn't have as many callers as expected. Guess who'll be tucking in ?

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 01/11/2018 10:20

Kate has definitely honed and toned her figure since the early days.

That's a mighty regal camel toe.

I think she wore the trousers on the flight and slipped on the freshly pressed kaftan at the last minute.
I’m sure Camilla didn’t think about being photographed from that angle...

DontCallMeCharlotte · 01/11/2018 10:24

To whoever said about Meghan's see-though dress being an optical illusion, that was my thought but it was difficult to tell from a few small pictures. I can't believe even the non-label-cutter would let her go out showing her pants.

There's a picture of one our wedding guests who was wearing a very fine knit brown dress. It appears to be completely transparent and looks for all the world like she's wearing a black jockstrap under it (Attractive.) (And weird.) Anyway...

In reality, it was a skirt and matching top. The "jockstrap band" was actually the ribbing round the bottom of the top but there was a sharp intake of breath from everyone when they first saw the picture - including the guest herself!

I'm assuming Meghan's skirt had a similar thing going on.

Kate’s first post marriage tour to Canada & California

TipseyTorvey · 01/11/2018 10:33

@BowTieBaby okay okay I take it back. That pic from Bettyboo has proven me completely and utterly wrong. She looks so NORMAL in that first picture doesn't she? It does make me wonder how you get to that second picture and stay there then, if it's not your natural shape. I'm fairly strong willed as a person and a size 10/12 but I wouldn't even know how to get to a size 6 without not eating at all....maybe that's just it and there's no magic at all.

megletthesecond · 01/11/2018 10:38

I reckon the DofC uses a Pilates reformer machine. I know I would if I was loaded.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 01/11/2018 10:38

The skirt is unfortunately not an optical illusion.
However Meghan has a fantastic toned figure and was wearing sensible pants so it really is not a big deal.
Given the number of celebrities who walk the red carpet; deliberately, in see through dresses, this is such a minor glitch.

Every slight wardrobe malfunction has just made Meghan more human and endearing. It’s a choice to be in the public eye, but you need a thick skin to cope with everything about your appearance to be scrutinised to the nth degree.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo

Can I congratulate you on your perfectly proportioned comparison pictures! Case closed! Grin

I would never normally advocate advising anyone to put on weight but she genuinely isn't that thin naturally and she would look so much better (and, yes, younger) if she put on half a stone. She still looks fabulous of course but what a pity we're even distracted by this.

I've lost a bit of weight this year and I may be healthier but, from a vanity point of view, I look much older in the face Sad.

AhoyDelBoy · 01/11/2018 10:44

Haworthia not quite the same as I only have the one DD who is 13mo but I’m about 2 stone lighter a decade on. So there’s that. It’s definitely not impossible IMO. And it wasn’t down to extreme diet and exercise but extreme stress and a period of time where I built up some muscle mass that I’ve naturally retained 🤷🏼‍♀️

DontCallMeCharlotte · 01/11/2018 10:46

CurlyWurlyTwirly

Now I'm at work (ahem) with an oversized screen, I fear you're right!

Want2bSupermum · 01/11/2018 10:58

I know a few women who have lost weight after having babies. Compared to most women in the Uk DofC is thin. Compared to women here in NYC she is normal. Actually I see quite a few women who are thinner.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 01/11/2018 11:19

I thought that size zero thing was done and dusted in the 90s
