Went to my local big city and spent the day in JL. Took my Mum (in her early 70s) who was unhappy all her favourite brands (Country Casuals etc) are no longer there whereas I was in Hush heaven! Tried on an Onyx jacket which was a big mistake because it was fab but I resisted. Didn't like the Amie joggers so that was good, saved me some money! But I did buy the Charlie checked dress, only issue was it was a bit long in the back but Mum thought a dart might help so I'll maybe take it to my seamstress and see what she thinks. Sizind definitely smaller than the last few seasons, I bought stuff in XS and 8 in the summer but I needed a S or 10 in everything this time. Which is more in line with most other places.

Had a bit of a catch up on the thread. Sorry it's hard for you cherries. At least you didn't turn to emotional shopping and buy £1.5k's worth of coats !

I work in maternity and get to deal with all sorts of bodily fluids (how lovely) but it's still vomit that I find it hard to deal with. Even with my kids!

Anyway, back to shopping. I had a trip to a JL on Friday as there's a new one opened up about 40 minutes from me (at last!) and I tried on all sorts of Hush stuff, even things I thought I'd never buy. I ended up buying a pair of Samantha trousers which are lovely and warm and soft. But not in my plan!

I've realised however I need to sell more things on eBay if I can buy anything else! I'm still lusting after those red fluffy slippers on the Hush website but at £55 they will remain in my dreams!

SoyYo · 29/10/2018 12:00

Count good to read the check Charlie dress was a winner for you.
fingerditto on the trousers, they do look as if they’d be super useful.
cherries if I’d read about your contact lens problem sooner I would have answered to say don’t worry, it’s happened to me a few times and they really can’t go anywhere, I’ve gone to sleep with a “stuck” lens and when I woke up it magically reappeared in my tear duct (doubled over) where it was easy to retrieve. Just in case you have the same issue again don’t panic Smile

hendricksy · 29/10/2018 12:23

Not sure if it's all of your thing but I just got some lovely coated biker jeans from Tesco . I also bought a nice black jumper with a flash sign on it but I'm unsure about that . Just thought I'd share 🤗

Laska5772 · 29/10/2018 14:19

The puffa jacket came.. its really lovely, but i think too big for me .. I have ordered the 12 to compare

Does it make me look really fat though?

We’ve already had the convo that no one looks good side on to a mirror so don’t worry about that. Grin. It looks good, but I agree probably a tad too big round the waist. Wait till you can compare with the 12. It looks very luxe - is it a matte velvet?

Huffthepuff · 29/10/2018 15:16

Oh it's lovely @Laska5772 I really want one now... urgh damn it, when are they going to do another code?! Did you reorder the Meryl in a smaller size? The H&M dupe is showing as back in stock... I've very tempted to give it a try as they've just sent me a free next day delivery code...

Laska5772 · 29/10/2018 15:32

it is Matte velvet and very snuggly..
I have very naughtily reordered the 12 as a new customer from another email address and credit card , with a £20 off code someone posted on the discount codes page .. um...

Ellapaella · 29/10/2018 15:50

I love the coat Laska - really looks great and so cosy.
@hendricksy I love the coated jeans - I have a pair already and wear them a lot. I really love them dressed down with trainers and a chunky knit.

laska that velvet puffa is so good on you! Length is same as shown on the online pics and yes it’s a puffa so we would expect the look to be “puffy” Wink but really 👍 great!
The matte velvet is luxurious but so versatile, agree you should try to size down to decide which size you prefer but looks like a keeper to me Smile
Thanks for the tip on the Tesco biker coated jeans hrndricks and ella I’m always on the lookout for more and was admiring the expensive Hush offering from afar due to the £

hendricksy · 29/10/2018 16:22

I have a Topshop Jamie pair @Ellapaella which I wear loads but have not found a decent pair since to replace them . These are fab for the price 🤗

NotAnActualSheep · 29/10/2018 17:36

Oh - that looks fab Laska! It really suits you and looks so snuggly. And it definitely answers one question about what to wear with the Amies when it's colder!

I saw some nice coated jeans in Sainsburys the other day (25% off). I didn't get them, because I wasn't really sure if I need anything shiny on my thighs... and now they're sold out, typically. I have ordered this as a stopgap until I cave and order the Meryl which looked nice and soft, though it probably won't be very warm. As is standard in Sains they had 4 size 8s and 3 size 20s and nothing else, so I had to get it online.

Laska5772 · 29/10/2018 17:52

huff I haven't reordered the Meryl at the moment.. I may do later. am really hoping that the smaller puffa will be better , the arms are a bit long on the 14 and it could be a neater fit at the hem for me . , but its more how a smaller one will fit across shoulders/ norks..

The 14 is pretty roomy even with a thick jumper on.. One thing though is that it is quite heavy.

neveradullmoment99 · 29/10/2018 18:26

I like the jacket @Laska but cant really see the texture on it on my laptop and its a pity because I think it looks like great material. Like it with the amie joggers especially, which is something I have pondered about as I have been wearing mine with my parka and I feel kind of like it isn't the best. As for sizing, It looks ok from the front in that size but you will know closer up especially if the sleeves are long. If the 12 doesn't fit, the 14 doesn't look really huge or that bad..

ilovecherries · 29/10/2018 18:28

Well, today was about the dupes today. I bought these in debenhams. Big star is navy/silver grey and small star is charcoal and quite slouchy. I also bought a fake Sabrina cardigan in charcoal from H&M. I really like the Hush one, but can’t justify spending more on a cardi than I have on a coat when it’s not cashmere.

Hi Husheetas, I've ordered nothing from the current winter collection despite being an avid Husheeta for the last few years. However, having been freeeeezing cold for the last few days have just ordered the Britt parka from John Lewis today - the one with the leopard print on the inside. Does anyone have it already? Am collecting tomorrow from my local Waitrose. Have high hopes for it!

neveradullmoment99 · 29/10/2018 18:35

Nice jumpers @cherries. I know what you mean about the Sabrina. Its really expensive. Tbh, I adore it though and its supersoft and had it on today. It is quite cosy. I hunted for something similar but just couldn't find it although I do remember H&M having something on their website.

neveradullmoment99 · 29/10/2018 18:36

@ella had it @caterpillar but returned it because of the hood?

Laska5772 · 29/10/2018 18:49

Cherries Good dupes! I really love the dark grey star jumper .
my H&M Morris shirt dress came, not keeping.. the pattern on mine is cut so the big flowers are just on the norks! . I dont need them accentuating (is that the right word? )

Also got a hush coral raw edge linen T from brand Alley ( bargain at £14) am still waiting for the rest of the order ( Seasalt raincoat)

neveradullmoment99 · 29/10/2018 18:54

Its the right word @Laska Grin

neveradullmoment99 · 29/10/2018 18:55

It is a beautiful print though!

Laska5772 · 29/10/2018 19:04

it is , I bought the darker blue ( the smaller print) one in store..its really nice . Size down though its big! I got an 8!

caterpuller · 29/10/2018 19:06

@neveradullmoment99 thank you I have read some of the reviews about the hood, I will reserve judgement til I see it but I am not really a hood wearer so am hoping it will be ok! I'm more likely to wear a hat with it. It's really to keep me warm on the combined school run / walk to the office and back again every day. I have been lusting after a Sweaty Betty parka but it's nearly £300!!!!

Laska5772 · 29/10/2018 19:07

Never you can see the texture of the puffa better on the Hus webpage it really is gorgeous. reckon worth the money also esp compared to some of their prices ( and with a cheeky extra £20 off hopefully)

Ellapaella · 29/10/2018 19:35

@caterpuller Yes I had the Britt but returned it. It was a beautiful coat and the fur lining was divine. Unfortunately for me the hood was just a bit too Liam Gallagher for me. Also the tie around the waist that you pull in to fit it was on the inside of the coat so it didn't pull in properly to accentuate my waist so it felt a bit bulky and shapeless.
I was gutted as I really wanted it to be perfect.
You might get on with it fine though and if you're not a hood wearer then that might not bother you at all.
