I think even without a pregnancy announcement, the spotlight would've been back on Meghan this week because of the tour.

Diana was only about 30/31 when she split from Charles wasn't she? Agree with @Paradyning - imagine if William or Harry had suddenly got engaged to a 19yo. There would've been an outcry!

Hmm given that she's not visibly pregnant even in a bodycon dress, I think she was a bit naughty with the baggy coat on Friday and folders in front of her coat arriving in Sydney. And I think it's not nice they've hijacked the Invictus games AGAIN, as the last time it was their first public appearance together. Doesn't seem very sporting.

I know she's an actress but I can't say I'm comfortable with the amount of attention she seems to crave. She looks amazing to be fair.

That would have been a similar age difference to Diana & Charles.
As a contemporary comparison you can see that they would have nothing in common, and why would someone of 32 be interested in a 19 yo. Very sad all round.

On a different note, I hope Meghan wears more of Diana’s jewellery on this tour. Although Diana was also known for her love of costume jewellery!

Maria Olympia of Greece also has a very pushy mother so harry dodged a bullet there, although I doubt there was much truth in the story. It probably came from Marie Chantal herself!

Marie Chantal has 4 boys; I wonder if she is trying to match up the youngest with princess Charlotte!

Even the youngest must be a good 10 years older than Charlotte but you can't put anything past MC!

I prefer Meghan in the muted colours she wears, as opposed to brights. Can’t say I see why the website has crashed for the white dress. Just a very plain white dress IMO.

Isn't holding folders like that acting 101 for hiding pregnancies. It seems to be once the actress is pregnant their character suddenly needs to do a lot of filling

It seems odd to me that she suddenly needed 2 a4 folders walking from the airport to the car (i think that's where the photo was) to go to the hotel she had 24hrs on the plane for research and more time at the hotel I think they were strategic!

Perhaps with the coat she did it up, looked in the mirror, thought bugger the MN jury will slate me for wearing a coat dress and undid a few buttons!

I reckon (will throw in an Aussie word for the trip that is in it ) because she is normally so slender, that she may feel huge already and thinks it is very very obvious.

Wearing stuff like that isn't new for her though - she always favours going up a size rather than wearing very fitted clothes, maybe because she's so petite.

She may well feel bloated at times, I know I did in the early weeks. If you are normally very slim then very slight gain or bloat can make you feel self conscious.

When I was at that stage of pregnancy I'd feel fine in the morning but by dinner time I looked 5 months pregnant due to bloating! Or I'd wake up looking pregnant and by afternoon the bump had deflated. So perhaps that was the reasoning behind her outfit on Friday, I doubt it was maliciously done.

I think the having to marry someone with "no past" was the problem. Not too many 30 year-old virgins to choose from.

I really don't get the thunder stealing accusations at all. Was there an expectation that people and the media were still going to be interested in Eugenie and her wedding for days and/or weeks afterward? And assigning ulterior motives to dressing comfortably and carrying folders? A bit of a stretch, really.

Agree @SenecaFalls, but there are some posters on Mumsnet (not so much on this thread, I hasten to add) who ascribe ulterior motives to every move Meghan makes!

What is all this rubbish about ulterior motives etc. She had to mention it at some point!

She's probably glad to let it all hang out, as it were.

I think it's laughable that ANYONE thinks Eugenie found this out on her wedding day.
