I think it was the lighting more than anything that made Kate’s hair look red. I actually assumed she didn't dye it but maybe she gets high- or low-lights put in.

Just been looking at photos of Meghan's bump; it has popped a lot whilst they have been away compared to day 1 in the white dress in Sydney.

Her previous background as an actress and work experience and degree in international relations has been a huge advantage for her role as Duchess. Previous girlfriends of Harry's were put off by the attention but Meghan just takes it in her stride. I bet Harry cannot believe his luck in choice of wife.

Wow it's been an interesting day style wise. As pp said I had never heard of the Dutch royals (or most other Euro Royals other than the Spanish) Amazing tiara action from Queen Maxima not convinced by the dress or her sisters! Kate's dress was awful but I rarely like what she wears, I think it's sad she feels the need to be soooo thin. Camilla classy looking always. The person who stood out at the banquet was Charles. He looks ill, red faced, stooped, and just old and sad. It made me wonder will he ever be King.

I must admit that when I saw Max in the blush number and headband I was a bit disappointed she had toned down her wardrobe for the UK visit but my faith was retired when I saw her in the full Stuart. If anyone can carry off a major full on tiara - verging on a crown - it’s Max. I also like her gown as I believe she would look good in a paper bag. I think she really outshone the brits last night but as guest of honour you are allowed to do that.

Kate’s jewels were lovely, she really tried to up the game with the necklace but I feel the dress was very eighties. How can she snap back to a figure like that after three kids in less than five years?!!!!

I agree the tour is gruelling but they could have held off TTC until it was over and she'd found her feet a bit more. She's not going to be doing much work if she's on maternity leave.

Re Charles and his complexion, I saw him at an event a couple of years ago and it struck me then his face is very florid . Wonder if he drinks a lot? I didn’t think he looked at all well then.
I love Kate’s hair colour. It really doesn’t seem right she looks so thin six months after having her third child. I think her skin is quite dehydrated looking and lined for her age. Also think both she and Wills looked tired.
It’s great Meghan is giving a speech on serious issues, one she obviously cares about. I’m sure she feels frustrated with her role as a fashion accessory these days. It must be such a massive adjustment for her.

@Moononthehill28 No, she has a degree from Northwestern, which is a very good university.

Her dad won the lottery in 1990, and paid for her to go to a private school but I'm not sure whether he paid for her university too. He was actually a fairly successful tv lighting director and won Emmy awards.

Meghan might just need a poo in her own toilet; all that flying/shifting time zones/change in diet/always “on” on top of pregnancy would have my bowels in an uproar

I just checked. Her degree was in theatre studies and international relations. A strange mix!

Meghan's pink dress reminds me of the blue and white wrapover one she wore to a wedding in the Summer. Not to keen on the print or the cut, also looks a bit shiny for daywear.

Kate's dress is also questionable, a very odd choice in colour, cut and material. I'm not keen on light blue for evening wear, reminds me of the very plain one she wore to a Bond premiere.

Meghan graduated from Northwestern I think? Theatre and international studies or something of that persuasion.

Just been reading her speech, she says that her further education was funded by scholarships and earnings from a job.

Gingercat it's Maxima's sister in law that was in the curtains flowery dress. Sadly her husband, brother of the King, died after a skiing accident.
Maxima's only ( younger) sister died of suicide not so long ago.

Maybe it was. Says on Wikipedia that her dad won $750k in 1990 so it might've all been spent by the time she went to university.

My first thought on Meghan's dress was ooh bright colour! Second thought, not quite right above the waist. Thirdly, should have missed out the pom poms.
I shall cut her some slack though.
Travelling halfway round the world during the first 4 months of her pregnancy and having a packed diary of official engagements in her new role can't be easy.
