Sarah Chatto’s outfit is my favourite by miles.

Sarah Chatto apparently spent a lot of time with the Queen and her family.
Margaret was not very maternal.
She's turned out lovely.

Apparently there was foreign royalty there in the shape of the two princes of Hanover and "Crown Prince" Pavlos of Greece with his wife and daughter. Marie-Chantal would show up at the opening of an envelope!

Pavlos’ Family does not count.
a) how can they justify their titles if Royalty has been abolished?
b) they live in London so didn’t have to travel far...

Well the same could be said of the Hanoverians (the ones from Hanover, not the ones occupying the British throne ).

Has all the nobility in Germany been abolished to the extent that the monarchy has in Greece? There are still an awful lot of princes and grand dukes left in Germany, a good deal of whom are related to the Windsors!

It'll be interesting to see if Pavlos and Marie Chantal take the title of King and Queen when his father dies. At least Constantine actually was a king once upon a time but his son never was and never will be. I wouldn't put it past MC to start calling herself Queen of the Hellenes!

I think so, essentially since 1919. I think that some of the noble families are allowed to use their former titles as part of a surname, but certainly there are no recognized HRHs as the Hanoverian "royals" like to call themselves.

Thanks @SenecaFalls and the good people of Hanover are probably very grateful for that, as Ernst Augustus is a nightmare. And to think it could've been even worse for those of us in Britain!

Ok, lady Sarah is my new fashion obsession. Here she is wearing a couple of Queen Mary’s diamond necklaces. She just makes them look so modern.
She totally owns the retro 50s style, without it looking costume-y
That was the era when Princess Margaret was in her prime and it is a lovely homage to her mother.
