Anne French Cleansing Milk - discontinued?

Just that really. Not available anywhere. Used to use it and stopped. Now on an economy drive and not buying my usual Decleor, so thought I would try AF again. If anybody uses it, is it gone permanently or just a temp thing?

Personally I can't stand it (I used my Mums on occasion...) But my Mum's been using it since she was young. She's sent my Dad on a wild goose chase to every Boots, Superdrug, chemist... I can only assume it's down to the fact it contains formaldehyde (it's banned in the EU and US), might explain why her skin is so well preserved at her age

I ring them up and was told it’s a production issue and they will be back on the shelves by November ,, hope so

OP I have skin prone to broken capillaries, dryness and redness and I love the boots cucumber cleansing lotion. It's cooling, mosturising, and if you try it and hate it you will only have wasted about £1.50.

Get my 72 year old nan 3 bottles every Christmas. They then last her the year.
I normally get them from body care and have started my Christmas shopping and I haven't been able to find any anywhere.
Hopefully they are back in stock by November.
And glad there was ready made thread for me to jump on.

Yea. Makes note in calendar to check shops in Nov. Odd that a well established brand is facing this. It has completely disappeared. I wonder if it is being reformulated.

If someone has an old bottle could they photo the ingredients and post here. That way we can check the new bottles. (Somebody mentioned it has formaldehyde in it which was banned in some places. Perhaps they are removing that?)

According to Amazon the ingredients are:
Aqua, Paraffinum, Liquidum, PEG-2 Laurate, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Benzyl Alcohol, Citral, Eugenol, Geraniol, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate, Limonene.

I also recommend boots cucumber cleanser and toner .I find it really good and it's so cheap as well -maybe give it a try till you can track down a bottle of Anne French?

I think I tried the cucumber stuff years and years ago but it made my skin sore. I will bear it in mind though.

Tell all you Anne French friends that this is merely a production issue and will magically appear on the shelves early November.

Any Anne French nay sayers should try it first and wonder how they ever lived without it...

I'm using it every day and my skin is SO SOFT. It actually freaks me out when I unthinkingly tough my own cheek, as I don't recognise the texture! My face previously was more like a scuffed old shoe. 😆

When AF gets back on the shelves, I'm stockpiling.

Just to let those ladies bemoaning the disappearance of Anne French cleansing milk, there is good news on the horizon. It will be back on the retail shelves from mid-November. Apparently there was a hiccup in the raw materials used to produce.
So don't buy it at over- inflated prices on ebay. Sellers with one or two to sell are just trying their luck.

I wish they would produce the face masks again, they were great.

gingham it was Bonne Belle the brown cleanser. I think you can still get it in the US.

I can't find it round here so really hoping it's coming back!! Our big Boots has an out of stock label, but also a 3 for 2 on it so I wonder if they knew and wanted to shift the stock. Maybe it's changing formula or something?

Very frustrating not to be able to find it anywhere.

I have some right now. I spotted it again after many many years a couple of years back when I was a annoyed at not being able to buy normal cleanser that wasn't astringent stuff for spotty teenage skins.

Its probably my fault. They always discontinue things I like.

And what happened to Camay soap?
Why was that discontinued/not readily available?

I can confirm this product has not been discontinued. One of our supplier for a raw material was out of stock but the production is due to go back this week. So we are looking at Anne French being back in the high street stores from mid-November.

I agree that the stuff in the brown bottle was Bonne Belle 10-0-6, fabulous stuff!

I loved 10-0-6! Brings me right back to 1982

I remember 10 0 6 Bonne Belle ! I loved the lotion, face mask and shampoo! And their lipsmacker in the Dr Pepper flavour - that was before the drink was available over here.

I hope Anne French won't be discontinued. I love it! As much now as I did in my teens!
