This is making my Sables sample look very reasonable. I'd better get back to my PP basket

Old Sport has been interesting. The base in particular has something in common with Maxed Out - airy and cool tobacco and leather, but without the sordid bits. Good for fainter hearts.

Sorry, should clarify that Erawan is by Dusita, not Mona di Orio. I got over-excited.

I got a sample of Sex Goddess with my Old Sport. Very wearable; am trying to think who would like 9mls for Xmas...Maybe DSM who took Tart's Knicker Drawer surprisingly well last year .

I’m in Sex Goddess now, for bed . Lovely stuff. I love TKD, too. I have 9mls of both (+ Sexiest Scent) and would happily have full bottles of all three, but my bank balance says NO...

Fennel .

Haven't tried, but they do quite like a vegetable note. Onions in Up the Apples and Pears, mushroom in Inevitable Crimes, parsnip In M.McGregor...

I quite fancy a beetroot note. Earthy, wholesome and sweet? But it's not a note listed in the Fragrantica directory.

Sotd is my new swop Angelique Lilas which is adorable. A green floral which has been discontinued by Guerlain. Why are the good ones always discontinued and the bad ones breed and multiply?
La fille de Berlin is very lovely but could you manage with a decant from Gerald’s Decants? Or do you really just have to have a proper bottle?

I may hint-hint to DH about it for a Christmas present, although I really need (well, not need, but you know...perfumista-need) a back-up bottle of Manifesto L'Elixir.

In the last of my Salvatore Ferragamo sample today. Its quite Black Opium-ish, Ive decided, but nicer, I think, and not quite as sweet.

ACDuDesert is magnificent. I always hover between loving LADDM, ACdD and Lonestar Memories best, but LM tends to get it because of it's shocking petrol-burnt-trees opening!

Funnily enough I was just thinking how much Patch Flash (SOTD) reminds me of Eau My Soul. It's the meeting of patchouli and benzoin I think, gives it that slightly 'sparkly' champagne-y note which I rather like.

SOTD is cedrat tilleul by Fragonard. I absolutely love tilleul/limeflower and its hard to find. I do have the jo malone limeflower but I think the cedrat in the fragonard makes it work better for autumn too,

Wearing Ginger & nutmeg with several sprays of Gingembre on top.

Took advantage of scent of the week and so was wearing Sex Goddess yesterday. Nice but a bit blousy for me.
Today has been a sample of White Queen. I love a gourmand but always want to wear something that feels more sophisticated - a non sweet gourmand sounded perfect. First hour of so was a real disappointment (turns out my desire to smell like dessert is just too strong) but it has settled into something pretty special. Could definitely see myself wearing it.

Let's see how the sample of over the chocolate shop works out tonight.

I don't have Brigadoon but I do have The Clans Gather Again, which I think might be similar? It smells very much like a nice bottle of whisky!

It's described as We've made this, a new version of Kiss Me Quick(ly) mostly because I couldn't find the formula for the one I made in 2015. It's the aroma of the funfair as the sun goes down and the kids go home leaving the teenagers to snog in the ghost train. Machinery, sea, old leather, tobacco, toffee apples.

They still have some in 9ml but it's by request and you have to order Mother Nature's Naughty Daughters and say you want KMQ in the notes
