All my s's at the end of my words have disappeared, bloody autocorrect grrr

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 23/09/2018 16:48

I love that dress Belletower unfortunately i couldn't wear it as those colours make me look hideous! i can admire from afar though!!!

Having a wardrobe clear out before we start packing to move. Realised there's things i haven't worn in ages in there that i haven't missed at all so they are going. everything's in good clean condition so perfect for sending to the charity shop

SymbollocksInteractionism · 23/09/2018 17:14

ginkypig I had a leather look boob tube like that in the 90's. I used to wear it with a leather look pencil skirt so it was like a dress, I bloody loved that outfit!!

stegosauruslady · 24/09/2018 09:28

Ooo...hello!

I'm a 34 year old, pregnant with baby number four, metalhead. I think 'rock chick' is my general style, although being pregnant I'm more just 'whatever maternity wear comes in black' at the moment!

I've been drooling over all of the things I'm going to buy post pregnancy, I'm saving money for a massive wardrobe overhaul!

SapphireSeptember · 25/09/2018 22:04

I've just ordered another Evanescence t-shirt, this time from EMP. I'll have six when this one arrives! Grin Next on my shopping list is some new combat boots, a Lacuna Coil Broken Crown Halo t-shirt, stripy socks, and Revolution's Halloween makeup collection, (red liquid highlighter, in a skull shaped bottle? Hell yes!) Oh, and this t-shirt... www.teeturtle.com/products/weird-is-good?variant=8931469852726
I love Halloween makeup, although it's now a damn sight better than it was when I was a teenager! Grin

stegosauruslady
I love your username! And congratulations! Flowers I hope your pregnancy goes smoothly. Smile

LivingDeadGirlUK · 28/09/2018 14:26

yes all the best @stegosauruslady :)

I have a black tie dinner on Thursday and nothing to wear :( I tried a black velvet dress I bought when I was 5 months pregnant on and it does not fit :(

LivingDeadGirlUK · 29/09/2018 13:01

I have Made An Effort today for a friends bday and am feeling pretty fab in my purple cord skirt and cold shoulder jumper. Even managed some accessories! Makes such a change from my mum uniform.

NicoAndTheNiners · 29/09/2018 20:47

@belletower , love that Zara dress, how did you find the sizing? I hate it when they’re s, m, l. Rather than actual dress sizes.

Belletower · 30/09/2018 11:59

It's lovely isn't it, and so comfortable. It's thick material as well so ideal for hilly autumnal days.

I hate S,M,L sizing too, but I fin'd I tend to be M in a lot of high street stores and S in a lot of online only retailers.

Can anyone find anything similar to this?

I am absolutely in LOVE with this cape, but as much as I love Joe Browns I can't afford the price at the moment, due to retraining at Uni.

Anyone up for an alternative style thread?

Well I’ve ordered it in the large which I hope will fit a size 16. Shame they don’t do XL in that dress, fingers crossed it fits. Thanks.

NicoAndTheNiners · 30/09/2018 13:55

@belletower. Have you seen this £15 off offer for joe browns? Not sure if that makes it possible.

I am now waiting for www.emp.co.uk/p/left-alone/347915.html#start=22 to come in the post, among other things. I could spend a fortune on EMP. I've gone for M and L because it's really hard to tell what a size 12 is on there.

DaisyChainsForever · 30/09/2018 17:28

Place marking as this thread is right up my street!

Love51 · 30/09/2018 17:48

Mine too. Rediscovering style! Planning a trip to Joe Browns.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 30/09/2018 18:05

whats the quality like from joe browns? admired many things but never bought from them.

Cocolepew · 30/09/2018 18:29

I was in M& S today and they have skinny velvet jeans in black and forest green. I think they were £29.50.

Love51 · 30/09/2018 19:13

Not a clue, livingdead, not been there yet. I'll hopefully let you know at the weekend! The store is quite close to me, I just didn't know it was there!

Cocolepew · 30/09/2018 19:57

Oh I love that jacket Bobbin!
I got a, jumper from Joe Browns before but wasn't impressed, friends in work shop there and their stuff is always nice. Maybe I got a dud.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 30/09/2018 20:23

I found Joe Brown's about 15 years ago and it was great when I was skinny. Bit hit and miss sizes and sometimes expensive for sketchy quality. I must admit, none of it lasted and I don't have any of their stuff now.

I got some bondage-style leggings as well, from EMP.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 05/10/2018 15:24

how was your shopping trip @love51 ?

AltogetherAndrews · 05/10/2018 15:49

I have recently discovered BlackMilk and am itching to buy, but it’s delivery from Australia which makes me nervous. Not cheap either
blackmilkclothing.com/shop/bottom/pants/galaxy-blue-cuffed-pants

Really want that outfit though.

Artsy clothing is good for unusual tops and leggings.

What I really need is a replacement from my Triumph doc martens, I have a health condition which means I can’t wear heavy footwear anymore, and although they do lightweight docs, they don’t have them in that style.

Tealslate · 05/10/2018 16:05

Me definitely. I have to do presentable professional for work but the inner me is more creative/rock style. I'm a curvy girl though and generally find such clothes are for stick thin willowy types with flat chests. Will read properly later but I didn't want to lose the thread.

Love51 · 05/10/2018 16:19

The shopping trip was somewhat curtailed by having a child in tow who couldn't go to school having spent much of the night in hospital, some birthday money arrived in the post so we went out to spend it as she was stir crazy, so I popped into Joe browns but didn't try anything on. I liked the quality and ordered a dress from ebay, wish I had tried clothes on and knew my size. I shall be going back often I think. It is top end of my price bracket but I might get a few bits second hand.
