Thanks Never great suggestions.I love the cashmere but is too many £s.You look fab in that skirt.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 13:05

Thank you :)

Talisin · 30/08/2018 13:08

Well despite saying nothing more until after Christmas, I have been enabled by this thread to try the Emannuelle. I’ve ordered my usual size & the size up, because boobs and because the discount is about to run out. I suspect neither will be flattering on me but it just looked sooo good on the couple of people that posted pictures on here that I had to try.

I have those Next coated leggings from last year and they are fab - so worth it.

Ellapaella · 30/08/2018 13:35

I have those coated pleather leggings. They're fab, they will be great with my ivy jersey top. I'm actually back in shorts and t shirt today in the beach, summers made a cone back so doesn't look like I'll be outing my autumn wardrobe anytime soon.

Laska5772 · 30/08/2018 13:43

Laska I like it a lot. Wasn’t too keen on the high neck but then saw it could be unbuttoned. I do like a good swishy maxi dress.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 14:14

Looks nice @Dave. It is very plain but you can jazz it up. I like the shape very much. Its not too short. What do you think?
@Laska - I love the print of the dress. I like the style too but don't you think it looks huge on the model?

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 14:15

I think you did the right thing sizing down btw. Look forward to seeing it on you :)

dontcallmelen · 30/08/2018 14:16

laska I like the print & colour but think I would have to see a pic as not sure about the dropped waist, but saying that you are quite tall so would probably hang properly.
never I like the dress especially with the boots & maybe a biker toughens it up a bit.
Dave it looks good on you, but just think it’s a little safe.

dontcallmelen · 30/08/2018 14:17

disclaimer I’m no fashionista so feel free to ignore me😄

Laska5772 · 30/08/2018 14:20

Like it dave it is similar to last years read Ivy ..

Ok vote is looking not too m naff so far then but will appreciate anyone elses views as well as I know we are all v honest here!! .. The only thing I am not sure about is the frill, I dont really like frills.. anyway will see when it arrives

Laska5772 · 30/08/2018 14:20

Id want to wear it with biker boots

AFingerofFudge · 30/08/2018 14:34

dave I love that I think it looks great
laska not too sure about the neckline, have you an M&S near you that you can see it in the flesh?

carr1e1977 · 30/08/2018 15:06

@neveradullmoment99 you look fab in both!

DavetheCat2001 · 30/08/2018 15:10

hmm I'm not sure.

It looks fine, but it is very plain..mind you that can be good too, and it is comfortable.

Just not sure it's worth the price, plus I have the wide top in green coming so maybe that would be a better thing to have.

I'll try it on again in a bit I think...but £55 is a lot for a plain jersey dress.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 15:35

Dave i agree. There isnt anything wrobg with it, its just not that exciting for the money iykwim. The lightening print is more interesting and quirky althouh initially i wouldt have chosen that one on relection the print is quirky and is more worth the money cause its different.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 15:36

Terrible typing on my phone 🙃

Laska5772 · 30/08/2018 15:37

I have one here its a 14 and its huge.. here it is with pegs at the back!! It needs tobe worn with biker boots I think to toughen it up
But you see its the frill that's bothering me (and I suppose thats what makes it so 'M&S not-quite-right') ... The neckline tiny loop and button clout and sleeves are great and sort of 70s retro as is the fabric and pattern .. I'd need a small size anyway which I have ordered to try and I could take the frill off quite easiliy , and I think it would look so much better for doing so , but?.....

Hmm Daniel footwear have emailed me to say that the boots I ordered are oos, (they couldn't find the pair they said they had) but they haven't refunded me any postage as i also ordered a scarf.. not happy as £4.99 postage for a £15 scarf is ridiculous(and i wouldn't have ordered that with that postage !.( . Ive emailed them , and will let you know what they say .. )

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 15:52

I agree, much better without the frill. Although It may be better in a smaller size and the frill might not look so bad if it is more fitted to your body.
I like the pattern. The neckline is fine. The frill is the issue.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 15:55

Also the full length sleeves would bug me. Then I hate full length sleeves on shirts or shirt dresses when they are with cuffs. They make me feel warm just looking at them.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 15:56

Lets see how it looks in a 10 as it will be better more fitted I am sure.

Ellapaella · 30/08/2018 15:56

@neveradullmoment99 - love both your outfits and it's still a yes from me for the Kensington dress.
@DavetheCat2001 - it's nice! You look good in it. It's very similar to the wide jersey top and only £10 more but you can do more with it.. wear over leggings, skinny jeans, just with tights or bare legs. It's exactly what I'd wear for my days off on the week when I'm pottering around with youngest dc, playgroup, coffee mornings etc. But could also be dressed up with a long pendant and earrings for an evening in the pub. Lovely colour too.
Laska - the dress is nice and I like the way you've styled it.
