Those look great Laska!

taybert · 30/08/2018 08:12

What sizes have people gone for on the Emmanuel? Also how does the Tara generally fit? I’m going to try to do a sneaky order before the 10% finishes and get it to arrive when I get home from holiday....

enabledlurker · 30/08/2018 08:23

I have the boat neck Tara from the summer collection.I am 5ft8 and it is much too short -way above my horrible knees!

The fit on the Hush models can be confusing. The summer model was 5ft7,A/W they are much taller but the clothes still fit the sameConfused

ilovecherries · 30/08/2018 09:02

Is it Sunday that the discount finishes? Am also thinking about a small order to be delivered after I get home, before I go on holiday number two next Sat Grin

taybert · 30/08/2018 09:06

Thanks @enabledlurker, I’m only 5’3 so hopefully it’ll be ok. I don’t think the models ever really give a true idea of fit etc- I presume they alter them/photoshop to fit the models. The models always seem to be wearing size small too, which seems unlikely considering I have significantly more meat than them and the small is sometimes too big!

How is the fit of the Tara otherwise? I’m a 10ish pear shape (more towards an 8 on top, 10 at the waist, 12 on the thighs, proper triangle!)

Laska5772 · 30/08/2018 09:18

I have always assumed that fashion companies make sample sizes especially tailored for the models . They need to make sure that their stuff looks as attractive as possible so its going to be a business investment Cynical? Moi? Grin

cherries I think it finishes on 1st. What are you thinking of ordering?

Ellapaella · 30/08/2018 09:57

@taybert I know there seems to be a lot of inconsistency in Hush sizing but generally speaking I usually find that as a standard 10 (on the bottom, between 10-12 on top) that a small or size 10 is a good fit for me.
The only thing I have in XS is the harems - and that was a mistake as I picked up the wrong size in JL after trying on. They are a tighter fit and I could have got away with a small hit I prefer the neater fit. I don't have a credit card so I can't really order two of everything to try so I tend to go for the standard size first which usually fits fine.

SoyYo · 30/08/2018 11:39

star I’m usually a 12 in Hush dresses/M and 14 on top in other retailers purely due to my 34FF always makes it trickier with button tops if you want to avoid boob gap...I had a similar style to Emmanuelle last season in a 12 which fitted great except for small boob gap. I returned but didn’t reorder the 14 because it would have been too huge elsewhere.
So if you’re up to E cup I’d say to go for a 12 and if not you could try 14 but beware it may be too huge on hips/shoulders/waist. It really depends on your shape.

laska lovely M&S leggings colours! Well done you! (I’ve sent you pm)

Love the Mint Velvet Boots posted a couple of pages back...absolute bargain!

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 12:24

@Laska - the leggings look great :)
I placed an order and it should come tomorrow. I really wanted the star and moon necklace and have ordered the teal halley dress just to see as well as the hitch skirt and red star flock tee. Apart from the necklace, not really planning on keeping anything tbh just thought I would add them to my order to see.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 12:25

You know what its like when things just slip into the basket Grin

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 12:29

Still havent decided on the dress but took a couple of pics earlier styling my leopard skirt for winter with my daniel boots and that bloody dress!!!!

Thought I would see what tomorrow brings with the other dress I have ordered and make a final decision to be posted back tomorrow for sure.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 12:32

Soyo How did you get on getting the leopard skirt shortened? I need to take it to my local seamstress to get her to take it up a bit for me. Its actually folded over at the top on my picture cause its soooo long. It looks fine long but I would need to be careful of puddles!!! Would prefer it just a tad shorter - more wearable for me.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 12:33

excuse the hideously thick tights. I need to buy some and would probably wear a slightly less opaque pair.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 12:35

Yikes!!! We are at 916 messages!!

Laska5772 · 30/08/2018 12:38

I wondered if you had shortened it never . Yes it probably is more wearable that length esp for this season . I may get mine shortened.. I need to get the navy wide legs shortened anyway , but was thinking i could do that myself.. (not sure about the skirt , but I suppose it wouldn't be that difficult to do .)

Wearing star jeans khaki vest top and green linen raw T today.. ( its becoming bit of a theme....) but then I have 4 of those linen tops !

FannyAdmin · 30/08/2018 12:38

Never, I had the Halley dress delivered today - it's quite a green colour, rather than the teal colour I was hoping for, so it's a No from me.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 12:41

@Laska - It is quite fine material and I just cant be bothered!
I would probably prefer it a green colour @fanny. How was the fit though?

enabledlurker · 30/08/2018 12:43

I am 10 in M&S and Next .I buy medium in Hush because I find that their clothes come up quite short and tight on the shoulders.
The lovely wide neck tops even s is too big.

I highly recommend the coated leggins from Next.Which Hush knit should I get to wear with them ?I need enablingSmile

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 12:44

Well laska today I am wearing my hush skinny black jeans from ages ago - more grey than black now and my V-neck wide jersey top in black with a long vest under it.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 12:45

I have those leggings and they are fantastic.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 12:46

I would need to wear something longish over them tbh. I would probably choose a silky blouse and a long cardi.

FannyAdmin · 30/08/2018 12:47

never, I haven't tried it on yet as I'm at work 😄. I'll probably try it this evening, as I'm interested to see it on.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 12:48

Or the cashmere bf jumper all the way with a longline vest under it.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/08/2018 12:49

Or one of the V-neck wide jersey tops over the coated leggings.
