@ellapaella have a look at @doesmybumlook40 on insta, one of her key styles is cropped trousers so maybe check her blog for ideas on how to style? I love the look on other people but feel like my trousers are flapping in the wind whenever I have tried !

Laska5772 · 28/08/2018 20:11

soy they are just like the one never linked to earlier on 😍😍

I am simply going to have to order some also

Ellapaella · 28/08/2018 20:13

Thank you all for the tips. I'll have a look at her @carr1e1977.
@SoyYo those studded boos are gorgeous!

Huffthepuff · 28/08/2018 20:18

Delurking to say that you've done some serious enabling with this wonderful thread. I've never ordered anything from Hush until the A/W launch and now have just placed my 4th order.
Feeling a bit odd style wise after having first baby in January. Also planning my AW wardrobe has become a bit of an (expensive) crutch to the daunting return to work after Christmas. That's my excuse if you'll take it...
It started innocently enough with a teensy order of the wooden hoop earrings which I LOVE. These are still in their box awaiting a special occasion sans mini Huff (grabby little thing) or my return to work after mat leave (whichever comes sooner). Then I accidentally on purpose ordered the Yasmin in black and the long line stretch tee (practical!). I'm going to return the Yasmin after much soul searching as it's too tight on my bottom half. Only slightly, but at that price it has to be perfect. I had imagined looking all kinds of willowy and a bit funky, but my post baby body had other ideas.
Then (enabling alert!) having seen the pictures of Hushistas in the Emmanuel dress, that was next. I expect that will arrive tomorrow. V. Excited. Work outfit of dreams. I'll stop now, no more orders. Totally content.
But then this evening I hear much talk of these wide jersey tops! Oh dear, like a moth to a flame.. I place the charcoal round neck in my basket. And @Ellapaella Looking so wonderful in everything! What a great order you placed! Well then I had to have the star biker sweat. I ordered the grey marl one. Neither the wide jersey top or star sweat are my usual style so I'm taking a bit of a gamble and trying to up my game when it comes to casual/weekend clothes. At this point I gave up all pretence at restraint and included a LL vest in black as I know I'll get a tonne of wear from any long line top and my old Next ones are getting holey and faded after so much use. Also slightly panic buying as I know the 10% off will finish soon and the prices will be just too much.
There, I've confessed. I feel better now. No idea how to hide these from DP when the postman comes. I'll have to set up camp outside the front door Blush

carr1e1977 · 28/08/2018 20:20

Oh @ellapaella, Erica Davies is also a great one to follow for style and she also does cropped trousers. Happy researching!

Laska5772 · 28/08/2018 20:25

They have those boots in non-Kipper feet width also.. Grin

ilovecherries · 28/08/2018 20:35

I am having a very happy holiday floating around in my hush stuff Grin. Santana shirt and Boden vest top tonight.

SoyYo · 28/08/2018 20:35

Huff Welcome to the now infamous 🤫 thread, you made me laugh!! No point resisting we gave up long long ago Grin

Yes I do recall seeing some dupes for Hush boots that never posted but I didn’t think they were for kipperfeet laska and at the reduced price it would be rude not to try...even with only one foot!! 🤣 they’re now on order after my own enabling (all your fault ella there I went innocently looking for your sock boots)

Right I’ve got a very late work call soon so goodnight and let’s see what enabling tomorrow brings Smile

Ellapaella · 28/08/2018 20:41

@Huffthepuff you made me chuckle, it's a slippery slope on this thread..
I de-lurked in February and since then I am much poorer but infinitely more stylish!
I first 'discovered' Hush back in 2010 after the birth of my 2nd DC. I loved the casual oversized style and comfort of the clothes - perfect for the post baby body and I have been hooked ever since.

missfliss · 28/08/2018 20:51

My large order arrived!

3 categories.

Keeping
Leopard leggings. Brilliant. May well order the zebra too. Grin
Wide Tops x 2 v neck in medium. These are oversized but that's how I like them.

Exchanging
ivy in maroon red leopard M for a small in midnight. It swamped me.

Returning
Oversized camp jumper. Just a bit meh, and the length wasn't oversized enough and the neckline isn't good on me.

Huffthepuff · 28/08/2018 20:57

Thanks @Ellapaella @SoyYo for the welcome. It's a bit of a thing to get my head round. I normally put money into 'going out' clothes or occasion wear. But let's be honest, I don't go 'out out' or have any occasions to dress up for. So these things hang on my clothes rail gathering dust while my everyday wardrobe gets worn thin and I panic when I have to wash my staples as I'll have nothing to wear! Ridiculous really but easy trap to fall into (enables self with plausible excuses).
It's been so useful to read your thread and see photos of how the clothes actually look. I have to say it's what has made me buy more as it's real styling and real people. I don't think that much of the Hush styling so most things I would have overlooked if I relied on their website

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/08/2018 21:00

Ella - you look great.

I've got the burgundy ruched skirt which SoYo linked to, and really like it. Wore it a lot last Autumn and will be digging it out again soon. I've also got one of the short black ones, and have worn it loads. They do both ride up a bit though.

Laska5772 · 28/08/2018 21:08

I just love the way we are all subverting he Hush style here on this thread now..
Can i just remind everyone to give the M&S leopard leggings a go.. (they have sold out in lots of sizes now sadly but are fab.. I expect they will get returns]] .

Laska5772 · 28/08/2018 21:11

M&S have snake print ones also.. lots of those still in

Ellapaella · 28/08/2018 21:17

I wish Boden would bring back their ruched skirt. I have it in black, it's just as flattering as the Hush one but longer so it doesn't ride up your legs in the same way.
Maybe we should petition them? It was 2016 when I got mine, they sold out straight away so I'm surprised they've never brought it back.

PorpoisefullyObtuse · 28/08/2018 21:23

I think I have that burgundy ruched skirt too. It’s so easy to wear.

Going back several pages - the jigsaw modal vests are wonderful. Wash beautifully. Skim not cling. Not cheap but I’ve bought them over the last 3/4 years and even the first black one is still in perfect condition!

neveradullmoment99 · 28/08/2018 21:23

@Ella, I agree with the fishnets to bridge the gap at the ankle.
What about trying a pair of brogues rather than loafers?
Also a black pair of lace up brogue boots might look good.
I have a pair of shoes like these from last year

dawley shoes

Not suggesting that you spend such money but a pair of statement shoes like these would look great.

neveradullmoment99 · 28/08/2018 21:24

Link went funny!!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/08/2018 21:24

Thanks, Porpoise. I'm definitely going to try one.

neveradullmoment99 · 28/08/2018 21:26

@huffthepuff Welcome :)
@Ella - Have you only de-lurked since February?
I think Laska, me and cherries are the 'old timers' on this thread [Not age related of course Grin]

neveradullmoment99 · 28/08/2018 21:27

Who else was on this thread since the beginning? I am losing track!!!

Laska5772 · 28/08/2018 21:28

cherries I hope you are having a fab time.. its not quite so warm here anymore Sad

neveradullmoment99 · 28/08/2018 21:30

It was bloody freezing here today @Laksa
I had my cardi coat on today. You know the one you have [keep in the car] and that I had before and never wore!!! The fringed one.

Nearlyadoctor · 28/08/2018 21:33

Welcome @Huffthepuff and belated congratulations on your baby. I know exactly what you mean about ‘best/going out’ clothes. I now actually begrudge buying occasion outfits as I know they’ll have such little wear.
@Laska - the M&S leggings are fab as you say, I was going to return mine having tried the Hush ones but as I also got 20% off even DH said it really wasn’t worth it when they are so nice.

@Never I think I’ve been around since the early days - there was from memory quite a long thread about the Tara dresses before these ones started.
