... but now have Amies and said linen T (with a vest under) on .

neveradullmoment99 · 28/08/2018 21:42

@Nearly, I cant remember how these threads even started. I think maybe it was about the Christmas sales and what we were buying!!! Not even sure how many threads we have had.

Huffthepuff · 28/08/2018 21:43

Thanks @neveradullmoment99
For what it's worth, I really like the Kensington dress on you. It's just lovely. I have it in my John Lewis wishlist.
Only thing I thought from those pics you posted is that maybe it could sit a little higher? Could you pull it up slightly so that the blouse top has a little flounce to it before the elasticated waist. Does that make sense?! You have a lovely defined waist so it's a great dress to show it off Smile Sorry if that's not helpful. Totally agree with styling. Biker jacket and boots all the way. Perfect for the change of seasons.
Also was it you who mentioned Daniel Footwear? Oh dear oh dear... I have found my dream biker boots on there for approximately 2 million pounds Confused thanks for that...

neveradullmoment99 · 28/08/2018 21:44

Its cold brrrr!!!
I was cold even wearing the cardi coat, black hush easy shirt, skinny next black jeans and hush ankle boots!! Winter attire. And...I saw a lady walking this morning with a puffa jacket, full knee boots, jeans and scarf! Shock

neveradullmoment99 · 28/08/2018 21:47

@Huffpuff, yeh I have tried it slightly puffed up and it looks better. Those boots are gorgeous but lots of money. Try Zalando. They are great for unusual boots.

Laska5772 · 28/08/2018 21:49

I think you have nearly I've been buying Hush for about 4 years now I think .. started off with a coulpe of ebay things but my first real order according to my history was a grey Henley dress and a pair of black harems. (harems would have been MN inspired I think)

Ellapaella · 28/08/2018 21:51

@neveradullmoment99 love those shoes you linked.. you see you have 'the eye' - the one that I do not and so am not very good at visualising what it is I need to pull an outfit together. You have the skill, I always love your suggestions but would never have thought of them myself.
I only de-lurked in February but had been following the threads for sometime. Until this year I couldn't afford much spare income for clothes but a fortunate change in circumstances this year means we have more disposable income and so I feel less guilty about indulging my Hush habits.

Huffthepuff · 28/08/2018 21:52

Thanks @Nearlyadoctor! It's an exciting time with a new baby, so laid back but so hectic in its own weird way. I'd like to have a capsule wardrobe (for work and casual) to make things easier to look stylish day to day. A hungry baby waits for no man and I want to throw things on quickly but without looking like stig of the dump

Ellapaella · 28/08/2018 21:52

It's been freezing here in Newcastle for days by the way, had the heating on the other night. Then typically as soon as my order of Winter clothes arrives the sun came back out and it was warm and sunny again.

GinandGingerBeer · 28/08/2018 21:53

I think I've been here since the beginning. Bank account certainly feels like I have although I probably don't post as much Smile
@Huffthepuff you're going to fit right in Wink please do post some pics when your haul arrives!

Nearlyadoctor · 28/08/2018 21:54

I think I’ve been buying from Hush a similar length of time @Laska, started with the Rosie dress , Stella jumper and harems. The rest as they say is history! Ha ha

neveradullmoment99 · 28/08/2018 21:57

I cant even remember my first purchase. I have bought and sold many many things via ebay so find it ultra hard to remember!!

Nearlyadoctor · 28/08/2018 21:58

Obviously not enabling @Huffthepuff but have you considered the Tara dress - it is such an easy throw on style and I always feel ‘dressed’ iykwim when I wear any of mine ( 2 summer / 2 winter ones ). They also wash and wear well, thinking of small person dribble etc. The Tina is the same style but knitted and does need careful washing in unicorn tears 😂

PorpoisefullyObtuse · 28/08/2018 21:59

I’ve bought for c5 years, posted for c m5 minutes! Tonight I am rocking my harems with a Florence and Fred fleece poncho. I’m just a little comfy!

neveradullmoment99 · 28/08/2018 22:00

Denim jacket and linen long tee dress on 15th May 2015!!!!

Nearlyadoctor · 28/08/2018 22:00

@Never the embarrassing truth is that I only remember because the Rosie dress is still hanging in the wardrobe with the tag on 🙈!

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 28/08/2018 22:01

...Both of which I barely wore although the denim jacket was lovely I am with @laska and I never wear a denim jacket!!! and both sold on ebay.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/08/2018 22:04

The first thing I tried on was the Tara dress. It was absolutely hideous on me.

Nearlyadoctor · 28/08/2018 22:04

I bought 2 dresses elsewhere in similar styles at the same time and kept the Rosie for best - I’ve worn the other 2 lots. I will wear it this winter, I didn’t sell it because I do really like it. I am dreadful at wearing the same few items as no where’s quite special enough for my new stuff. It’s a ridiculous trait when I have such lovely clothes.

OP posts:
GinandGingerBeer · 28/08/2018 22:04

I love the Tara @Nearlyadoctor, I have summer version in navy and khaki and the winter in black, burgundy and grey. The winter ones are my work staple, heels or flats, boots or shoes, washes well although the black one has begun to fade, ots been worn weekly & it must be 3 or 4 years old.

Laska5772 · 28/08/2018 22:07

oops nearly ! I wore my grey Henley dress to death , ( also had a rust one which id got from ebay and thats gone to the great textile bank in the sky now also ). I still have the black harems .. they are surprisingly in pretty good nick still even though they have been worn loads. But nowadays I wouldn't wear them out, just around the house and garden..

I have worn my (new) Amies out though.

Huffthepuff · 28/08/2018 22:21

Thanks @GinandGingerBeer! Will do

Oh @neveradullmoment99 how have I not heard of Zalando before?! Thanks! (I think) so does anyone have a discount code for them? Asking for a friend...

I'm in love with these:
https://m.zalando.co.uk/felmini-jaydine-cowboybiker-boots-black-fe211a01b-q11.html

I find a calf length boot the most flattering for my legs by a long way. If I can find the right calf length boot @Nearlyadoctor then I think the Tara dress could be a winner. I have an hourglassish figure with a big bum, hips, thighs leading down to skinny ankles. A calf length boot evens everything out and stops the tops of my legs looking so big in comparison iyswim Grin

Ellapaella · 28/08/2018 22:24

@Huffthepuff I raise you... https://www.danielfootwear.com/women-c2/grey-buckled-wool-biker-boots-p96150
The bikers of all bikers. That's 5 years worth of boot spending money though and more than the price of my fancy new washing machine that's arriving tomorrow Shock

Huffthepuff · 28/08/2018 22:27

Although saying that I can't BF in the Tara. So it would languish on a hanger until I go back to work. Harrumph! Be good to get the 10% discount now though...Confused

neveradullmoment99 · 28/08/2018 22:28

I love those huffapuff. Ooooh they are SO gorgeous!!!
I haven't got a code but I ordered a pair of boots from them a couple of years back and they did 10% off first order. They are the equivalent to a European Amazon.
