Nice to see some scarf love. I still really like scarves, but they get derided on MN quite a lot.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/08/2018 18:49

I'm 5'2 - will give the trousers a try.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/08/2018 18:49

I love a scarf but I must admit I don't get the summer scarf trend. Nothing wrong with a scarf in winter though. I live in mine.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/08/2018 18:58

Agreed.. Summer scarves make no sense.

Laska5772 · 26/08/2018 20:11

I just love that scarf Nearly.. Could it be the new MN Hushistas scarf? . Y2M9 will get you 20% off....

Nearlyadoctor · 26/08/2018 20:16

All ordered already with the code - thanks anyway Laska . I’m hoping it will brighten up a lot of my grey this autumn.

never you asked about Modal. yes it can be dyed. its a sort of rayon. I think , the Hush shorts I dyed were modal and have taken colour really well. I'd give it a go anyway !

if its Black use Dylon darkest black to redye..

But I'm not sure about your washer/dryer though given cherries experience .. My machine is just a washer.

nearly please do post a photo of that Boden scarf when you get it ..I am wavering..

Nearlyadoctor · 26/08/2018 20:37

I Will do Laska - didn’t mean to sound snooty saying already ordered.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 26/08/2018 20:44

I will dye it in a bucket!!! A bit messier but my washer dryer is less than a year old. Not taking any chances. Or, I might email the makers of the dye and see what they say.

Ellapaella · 26/08/2018 22:47

I really like the tailored wide leg trousers but I'm worried I'd look a bit 'MC Hammer'. Nice for a night out though. Anyone ordered them? The lack of reviews on the website is a bit frustrating as it means it's all total guesswork for sizing.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/08/2018 23:10

They look quite baggy in the wrong places on the model. Not sure about them. I have the winona and they are a great shape. Also elasticated at the waist but they look good. Maybe not such a sateen finish as the other ones. The wide leg tailored ones look baggy all over whereas the winona are a neat fit on the bum/hips and then flare out gently. I have them in a 10 so would size down if you were to buy them.

Ellapaella · 26/08/2018 23:14

Yes those are nicer @neveradullmoment99, prefer the shape. I might order them depending on how much of (if any) if my pending order I return.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/08/2018 23:18

When is it due to arrive?

neveradullmoment99 · 26/08/2018 23:18

Looking forward to seeing the parka on. I think it looks gorgeous.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/08/2018 23:21

I cant see all the reviews on the hush website, only the first few. Is it only me? Everytime I click on the arrow, it takes me back to the picture of the clothes. Strange.

Ellapaella · 26/08/2018 23:40

I can't see any reviews at all. My parcel tracking says it's at my local mail centre so I guess it will be Tuesday or Wednesday now. It said on the website it would be delivered by the 29th. Really excited for the parka.

Nearlyadoctor · 27/08/2018 07:47

Ella I should have taken a photo of the parka - ordered both 8 and 10 but didn’t even try the 8. The 10 was fairly tts, the leopard print lining is actually removable, it’s buttoned in. Probably says in description but I missed that bit. In the pic I liked that you could see the print but when I put mine on you couldn’t really see it unless you slightly folded the sides out ( hope that makes sense) . Nice and warm, good weight but not really me.

Ellapaella · 27/08/2018 09:50

It looks exactly the same as the other parka but with print lining. I was hoping some of the lining would be visible - at least the hood. Oh well, will have to wait and see. I ordered 10 which is my usual size as I read somewhere that Hush sizing in coats this year is slightly snugger than usual.

ilovecherries · 27/08/2018 10:13

Morning Hushistas :). Wore my haze Jamie maxi to dinner last night, felt very comfy and elegant. Today sporting a less elegant uv rash vest :) It’s lovely here, DD looking better by the hour as well.

SoyYo · 27/08/2018 13:09

Have fun cherries! I got the same jamie t shirt dress as an impulse buy in the sale and agree it’s so flattering and lovely, so light! I’ve only worn it one so far but looking forward to getting it out for my late summer hol later in Sept.

Right I’m thinking of returning my whole Hush order, RocknRoll and Fur Coat too! I don’t think I’m falling out of love with Hush but not really sure they’re worth the £ if I’m honest or that they make me look as fab as I’d hoped...I think I need to heal my ankle first and try things on properly styled which is nigh on impossible with my boot. I’ve got a couple of cashmere jumpers from Brand Alley Hush sale still to come and maybe I’ll wait till I’m in Spain in 2 weeks and get some fabulous boots and things while I’m there relaxed and in a better frame of mind...so till then I’ll enjoy your posts, links and photos 😍

SoyYo · 27/08/2018 13:17

never thinking about your dress I like the toast vibe a lot, which is why it appealed to me with the ankle boots and it did fit you beautifully honestly...but it is quite £ if you don’t think you’ll wear a lot and agree you should return if you think it’ll languish unworn. I actually like the faded duck egg shade too. Sorry not helping, but you know your lifestyle better than me. It’s like the fur coat for me. I love it but unlikely to wear it for work, then I wonder when would I wear it? I go from one extreme to the other: very dressed down when I homework/at home (Amies, harems, jeans) to smart casual (with emphasis on smart) at work but a fur coat is too big a statement in that environment...
Dilemmas...

SoyYo · 27/08/2018 13:19

I think I may return and try the shorter red fur coat you got instead. It’s more fun and I’d probably throw it on in the winter at weekends, to go shopping, etc rather than the black which is lovely and warm and luxurious but just too much for popping out casually...

SoyYo · 27/08/2018 13:21

Looking forward to seeing the parka on you ella and hope it’s a keeper!

enabledlurker · 27/08/2018 13:55

Hi everyone
If you are off on holiday you can get beautiful silk and cashmere mix scarves in some Spanish markets.I found a fabulous pashmina for DM for 10 euros.

I have my first wide neck top in forest green,It is very lovely and a fantastic colour but huuuuge!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/08/2018 14:23

Tried the long harems on today in a small. They fit well but I didn't like them on me.

Also tried the lace peekaboo vest, but didn't like it at all - it made me look like Angie Watts, but fatter.

Nothing else really appealed, or not at full price.
