I feel bad now Never for saying your dress is mumsy, although Ellla mentioned it was quite Toast which is a style I can never quite get.

Dunnes have really improved their clothes lines over the last few years. Lots of designer labels (designed specifically for them) including Paul Costello and Lennon & Courtney. Even their standard stock is great - I get a lot of staples there like the longline vests, workout gear etc. The only problem is it is very recognisable and some people will still think 'Oh it's Dunnes ' so it is a case of mixing and matching for me!

Nearly and Laska No honestly I wasn't in the least bit offended :).

I totally get that the style is mumsy. I have often thought it with that dress but there was something about the duck egg colour print and the ankle boots on the model that kind of changed my opinion of it hence why I ordered it. I have currently parcelled it up cause i'm afraid it is one of those thing that I buy and languishes in my wardrobe so its good to hear everyone's opinions. Honestly :)

neveradullmoment99 · 26/08/2018 16:12

I also get the Toast thing. I quite like the idea of it with some brogues with it on someone willowy. Totally and utterly a Toast look but not sure I would carry that off. I do like the idea of it with my ankle boots though. I may have another little try on to be sure.

dontcallmelen · 26/08/2018 16:18

Just tryin to catch up, does anyone have an idea of Dunnes sizing I used to get lots of stuff for dc’s years ago, when we over visiting family but never for myself I like the vests & the hoodie looks soft n comfy.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/08/2018 16:27

I've got those Geox trainers in white. Love them.

I think the shape of the dress would work well with a biker jacket, Never. For me, it's the colour that's more a problem than the shape - it looks a bit drab.

I'm tempted by full length black harems, having bought the cropped ones a few weeks ago. I got the crops in medium and they're a bit big. Does anybody know if the sizing is similar on the full length ones?

neveradullmoment99 · 26/08/2018 16:59

Its clear its a marmite dress ha ha.....

Tbh, I think its going back. There are other lovely things to choose from!

Ellapaella · 26/08/2018 17:17

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie I have the full length harems and love them. I've worn them a lot over the summer but they are quite light material so not sure how warm they would be in colder weather. They come up quite large. I like a more fitted look as I wear mine dresses up as well as down, I'm 5'7 and a standard 10 and I've got XS.

Nearlyadoctor · 26/08/2018 17:17

Wet days are no good for me, decided Hush Parka is being returned and have ordered this
www.crewclothing.co.uk/forres-quilted-jacket-in-dark-khaki-wja006-darkkhaki/

Bought in navy 3 years ago and have worn it loads. Ideally would like a smart peacoat but think this will be much more useful.

Thanks, Ella. I fear they may be too long for me - am only a hobbit. I'll give them a try - have some thermal leggings for underneath, if needed!

Alicatz66 · 26/08/2018 17:45

Ellapaella Inforthelonghaul* ... I've dropped heavy hints to DP about the red leopard !!! .. also worked out I spend 99 on coffee and lunches !!! May take lunch to work to justify it !!! ... I have only a few Hush items but I wear the to death and always feel good in them .. also , they sell for s good price on EBay when you don't want them anymore xx

Skimbleskanks · 26/08/2018 17:51

@Nearlyadoctor thanks but the brantano ones aren't glittery Sad I found some I love in kids size 39 - never bought kids shoes before as I have massive feet - they're free returns though so might not matter.

I feel so bad about the huge brandalley order I'm ebaying everything in the house. Made £180 this afternoon Shock

Nearlyadoctor · 26/08/2018 18:04

Skimble these are exactly the same as the ones I ordered, glittery heel etc.

Remus not sure how tall you are ? I’m 5’4 and long harems are fine in length for me.

Id forgotten gins turquoise kensington dress which i did like the colour of and it really suited her. but there is just something about the style which is really not me.. I suppose also at my great advanced age ive seem variations on that style come in and out of fashion so often ,.. and yes . never liked them...
However ,no offence meant to anyone who has the Kensington .. we all like different thigs ( good job too!).
Im pleased to have 'won' an XS burgundy Ivy today on ebay , seller says never worn so hope its good .. I have it in S and wore it a lot last year but really its too big on me now .. so ill be ebaying it I reckon if the Xs is ok on me ..

Back home its gone chilly! I now have my navy black amies and my black boat neck cashmere on !

Nearlyadoctor · 26/08/2018 18:21

Well done Laska I’ve got the Ivy in xs in burgundy- love it !

Tesco have some lovely longline vests too. I got a two-pack of white and navy. £8 I think. Not as long as the hush vests but they are like mini dresses.

Laska5772 · 26/08/2018 18:22

I have a nice animal print scarf I picked up in TKmaxx last year , dusty pink back ground with grey/ green and darker pink leopard spots. , also a long silk 'traditional' black brownish colour leopard scarf , but yes the Dunnes grey one is lovely

PrimalLass · 26/08/2018 18:23

I'd like the Kensington dress if it was shorter and with a straight hem.

Laska5772 · 26/08/2018 18:24

But I really love this john Lewis one

Laska5772 · 26/08/2018 18:25

and also this Becksondergaard one

Laska5772 · 26/08/2018 18:27

And heres another lovely Becksondergaard one - expensive though!

neveradullmoment99 · 26/08/2018 18:39

I was thinking the exact same thing about my Ivy. Both the smalls in burgundy and green are huge now. I am sad because I really like them. I think I may have to purchase the midnight one from hush and like you laska ebay my two. Strangely, I have the hush easy dress [ similar to the ivy but shorter] from years ago. Its roomy but nowhere near as big as the other two Ivy's, I was thinking of redying it back to black as it has faded somewhat. Would a cotton modal mix work?

Nearlyadoctor · 26/08/2018 18:43

Love the star scarf Laska - really like this one as well.
