How old do you think I am?

Went back to really dark hair after years of lighter or crazy colours. A friend of mine always said how ageing black is,but as I was quite young I didn't care or mind. I'm less sure of myself now... So have it Mumsnet jury.

Was going to say mid 40s

ShadowCatt · 13/08/2018 22:24

@Bluntness100 I don't even remember my natural hair colour. Except for the roots I haven't seen it for 15 years 🙈

Bluntness100 · 13/08/2018 22:35

It's often similar or a bit lighter than your eyebrows,,😁

Shockers · 13/08/2018 22:47

I was going to say 33! I’m good at this Grin

Freyanna · 13/08/2018 23:04

I think a dark auburn/chestnut would look lovely with your brown eyes and freckles.

You look 32 to me.

Hazardswan · 13/08/2018 23:35

Hi OP

I guessed 34 and didn't post because I thought you might be late 20s and didn't want to offend you! You have a look which is hard to pin in age I thought.

No idea what people were looking at when they guessed mid 30 s upwards Hmm it definitely wasnt you!

With make up on I imagine you'd look a more definitive late 20s early 30 s.

You have a lovely face Grin

ShadowCatt · 13/08/2018 23:41

I'm over my pic limit today, but if this is still going tomorrow I'll add a pic with makeup on. It can't get any worse than 60...can it?Grin

OP posts:
Hazardswan · 13/08/2018 23:58

It can't unless you're really bad at applying make up Grin

I m also so useless at guessing someone s age, I would have said 34-36 ?

Love the hair

FlibbertyGiblets · 14/08/2018 08:41

33-36 if I was to guess x

Hazardswan · 14/08/2018 20:21

I would guess 32 with make up!

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 14/08/2018 20:40

I was going to say 34.
I think you look lovely with dark hair, you're very pretty.

mariniere · 14/08/2018 20:53

Early 30s in the natural pic. You look younger in the make up pic but better in the natural... if that makes any sense!

Ellapaella · 14/08/2018 22:01

You do look younger in the make up picture - have you used a filter on that one? You look very different.
I prefer how you look in your first picture but it might just be because you are smiling and look very happy and friendly.

flutteryleaves · 14/08/2018 22:03

without reading comments, i'd say 36-39. hope that doesn't offend.

ShadowCatt · 14/08/2018 22:06

@flutteryleaves I've taken comments of 40 and 50 on the chin, so no offence at all. This has actually been quite fun, especially the wide range of guesses.

The black will obviously stay as it's not easy to get rid off and I don't think my hair can handle any more torture for a while.

OP posts:
flutteryleaves · 14/08/2018 22:11

well the 40- 50 comments are just daft. you're a fab looking lass with lovely features and skin tone.

Atually now i've looked properly at your pics on 5 th page, you definitely look 33.

SequinsOnEverything · 14/08/2018 22:17

You look like a totally different person in the make up picture!

I think you do look younger, but like a pp said, I prefer you in your original picture. I wish I looked like that with no makeup!

Cat2014 · 14/08/2018 22:19

37

Oblomov18 · 14/08/2018 22:23

Some photos are more flattering than others. I look frightening in some photos. Literally I shock myself at how bad I look. The next week, on a night out, someone takes a nice one of me.

You look the best in the pink. The colour is flattering, your skin looks better and your eyes have no puffiness, no wrinkles you look really young.

Second best is the blue. Similar, as above.

The light grey, blue tinged hair is not as flattering. Makes you look older. And your skin is not as good. Plus your eyes seem puffier and more wrinkly.

Same with the latest.Maybe the dark hair is too harsh, so ageing. Was it only just dyed and needs to soften?

But why do we look good some days and not others? I have no idea!!

Oblomov18 · 14/08/2018 22:27

Wow. What a difference make up makes. You look fab.

ShadowCatt · 14/08/2018 22:32

Thanks. I know makeup makes a big difference I just don't wear it often(only on nights out/special events). Getting a passport photo done tomorrow and i bet that will be interesting . I either look fed up with life or like it's a mug shot.
