How old do you think I am?

Went back to really dark hair after years of lighter or crazy colours. A friend of mine always said how ageing black is,but as I was quite young I didn't care or mind. I'm less sure of myself now... So have it Mumsnet jury.

Maybe she is right then. I'm nearly 33.
I'm shit with ages too, I mostly think people are younger than they are. Might just be how I look though and not the hair.

I’d say between 38 & 42 but I’m terrible with guessing peoples ages so probably way off. You have great skin!

28-34. I always think that with very dark hair it's best to have quite dark eye makeup. You look lovely!

I was going to say 47 but that's probably just because of the way this is phrased so people have gone higher than they would normally.

It would be interesting to put a picture up of yourself with lighter hair op, to see if that suits better.

I think the fact that you're concerned about appearing/ageing suggested you were older than you are if you know what I mean?

Black can look amazing but it needs to be very definite, less wishy washy. It seems an easy colour to do at home but I think it takes a professional to get that really defined black.

Opinions of 50 aside,I guess it could've been worse since I have no makeup on and don't do anything with my skin. Maybe I should start...

I think you look your age. I love the colour of your hair and the condition. I’m a fan of dark hair. But as pp said why don’t you put up a picture of yourself with lighter hair. Then we can give a better opinion.

Your skin is lovely and fresh. Think about a cut that shows your face off more, at the moment it's hiding behind your hair and it deserves to be the main feature
