I need to pick a dress for my brothers wedding.
I’m not sure which I prefer.

Which one do you think I look better in?
Thank you.

First looks more suitable for a wedding.Second is nice but more party wear.

Everyoneiswingingit · 28/07/2018 22:02

You also look slimmer in the first one.

NapQueen · 28/07/2018 22:03

The second one. By a country mile.

yikesanotherbooboo · 28/07/2018 22:04

They don't look like wedding outfits, what style is the wedding?
I like hairy' schoolers too.

areyoubeingserviced · 28/07/2018 22:04

Sorry Op
I don’t think either of them are appropriate for a summer wedding

Karcheer · 28/07/2018 22:05

The wedding is in a hotel.

I really don't like either of them, sorry. I think the first one is marginally better as it shows off your figure. I am sure you could find something nicer.

Fabricwitch · 28/07/2018 22:10

You look good in both, but I prefer 2, especially for a wedding!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/07/2018 22:11

The more I see of the first, the more I dislike it, sorry. You have an incredible figure but those cut out arms are not flattering.

You know better than anybody on here what ''kind' of wedding it is. To me, the second one looks perfectly wedding appropriate, if worn with something over it for the ceremony, which is then removed for the party.

Everyoneiswingingit · 28/07/2018 22:11

I think it's unfair for some to say it's not suitable for a wedding. Weddings are not all the same, these days and dress codes are more relaxed. With the right accessories both dresses will look lovely OP. I think it's fair to say there is no outright winner here so ask a trusted friend and go with how you feel on the day.

Everyoneiswingingit · 28/07/2018 22:12

And overhead lighting is always unflattering!

tootstastic · 28/07/2018 22:17

I prefer the dress @Everyoneiswingingit suggested upthread from the same place. Try ordering that one OP and then try some different shoe styles if it suits you better.

GPS76 · 28/07/2018 22:21

The black one looks fabulous, I'd wear a shawl in the day though as it's a bit revealing then take it off at night time and have fun!

Karcheer · 28/07/2018 22:21

I have tried that dress, for a previous wedding I attended last October, at the time I felt it made me look a bit top heavy and went with something else. I’m a size 8 and petite so couldn’t re order it this time.

Urgh _ so unsure what to do now. My husband is going to go mad if I make him come clothes shopping with me again after dragging him round every shoe shop on the planet today!

I'll bet you're so glad you asked now aren't you op?

Go clothes shopping alone but with a live thread. Take pics in dressing rooms, we will help!
Also go for a personal shopper service

Everyoneiswingingit · 28/07/2018 22:29

First one definitely! It suits your body shape more than the second one.

Also in navy - would go with your red shoes!

Some lovely dresses.

Thinking shorter might be better if you're petite.
