It doesn't look like much in the pics but the belt is really long and versatile so you can either wear it loose or wrap it round a couple of times for a more 'cinched-in' look. The skirt length is very flattering and there are three huge pockets!

The khaki version arrived today and I loved it so much that I've just ordered the blue as well. i have never ever done that before.

Size down, though - it comes up big. I thank you Grin

I like it except for the back. The back w random extra pocket is odd but not in a hipster way just in an annoying wtf is that way. My toddler would stick all manner of shit in that.

MsJinglyJones · 19/06/2018 15:17

I think it's not actually that Amish, for Toast! I like it but the length would look weird on me, would prefer it it was a maxi.

So true about the models Juicy :o

Confusssed · 19/06/2018 15:32

I suspect this dress looked better when the potatoes were still in it?

midsomermurderess · 19/06/2018 15:36

I love Toast. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I love what they do.

LuxuryTime · 19/06/2018 15:42

I’d take Hobbs’ Twitchill dress over this any day of the week Grin

absinthfaerie · 19/06/2018 16:06

i love the dress! Glad to see so many not liking it (as it means the price might get reduced even further)! Grin
I can only afford Toast when it's on sale and managed to get some good bargains over the years (£18 linen dress in our local John Lewis Wink)
I have three toast dresses. All amish looking and I love it. Quality is outstanding too and so are the natural materials they use. I'm a total convert and would have my whole wardrobe out of toast!

AintNobodyHereButUsKittens · 19/06/2018 16:20

I love the Hobbs Twitchill. They’ve been stocking it for a few years now and I expect that’s because women just keep on buying it. I might see if I can get another one in this year’s sales: ironing be damned.

Laiste · 19/06/2018 19:56

Bloody funny thread Grin

I couldn't wear a neckline like that with my boobs. I would look like something out of a medieval film set. The busty woman wearing a sack selling fruit.

Baubletrouble43 · 19/06/2018 20:45

It might be flattering on you but I bought a dress similar a long time ago and on my compressed hour glass figure ( short and fat) I looked awful

goose1964 · 19/06/2018 22:58

Some of us don't have the luxury of spending that on one dresses, when I said I'd want three for that price doesn't mean I'm going to buy them at the same time. It would probably be one in spring , one late summer and one early winter.

Mindgone · 19/06/2018 23:34

I think it looks lovely, and have just ordered one in blue, thanks OP WinkWine

Bugjune · 20/06/2018 01:34

My tits are too big to do justice to the Amish look but I covert it greatly.

SuperSharpShooter82 · 20/06/2018 01:37

Had to laugh when I opened the link. If I wore that I'd look like a pair of tits in a potato sack. Not flattering for my body shape at all!

WanderingTrolley1 · 20/06/2018 01:38

Looks like it’s being worn back to front.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 20/06/2018 02:09

To all the people saying Amish - it really isn't. Amish women wear long sleeved dresses, they would never wear anything sleeveless. PIL love in an Amish area, I've never seen an Amish woman in anything other than a long dress with long sleeves and boots even in the height of summer.

I think the dress looks drab and shameless though.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 20/06/2018 02:10

Shapeless not shameless! Bloody auto correct

MadMags · 20/06/2018 06:57

I don’t think anyone meant literally Amish! Grin

user1499173618 · 20/06/2018 06:59

That dress is tragic! So, so boring.

loveka · 20/06/2018 07:05

It's gorgeous! Bet it looks fab on.

I have just bought a lovely Boden dress though, so can't really justify it.

My favourite dress this year is a White Company number. I don't know how to do links though. It is white with grey chevrons.

RoseWhiteTips · 20/06/2018 10:15

Literal Amish! Lol

thedevilinablackdress · 20/06/2018 10:37

Lol at all the Amish comments. This is fairly racy for Toast.

I am a fan.

StormTreader · 20/06/2018 10:42

All those dresses are "if you're young and thin then this bag will look good because you still look young and thin in it, because you are".
I don't think any of them look BETTER because of the dress, none of them are flattering in any way I can see.

My mum always said "if youve got a perfect figure then you can wear a binbag and look great".

Lucked · 20/06/2018 10:51

The colours are a bit Handmaid's Tale econowife.

I would look so drab and washed out in this, my looks are too plain and boring for his to look chic.

user1499173618 · 20/06/2018 10:54

Yes, you are right - it’s a bit Handmaid’s Tale. Not a good look.

caffelatte100 · 20/06/2018 10:54

Much prefer the Hobbs dress but it's sold out in most sizes.
The other dress looks peasant like to me, though sure some women would carry the look off well.
