neveradullmoment99 · 07/06/2018 17:15

They are not awful but not the same length.

Sorry for being a day late but happy birthday seafour I absolutely adore those shoes! I love irregular choice

neveradullmoment99 · 07/06/2018 17:19

What do you think?

OP posts:
Ellapaella · 07/06/2018 17:27

Yes they look shorter than they did in your first pic you posted on the other thread. I think that regardless of what they put on the website it's what's on the label that matters - after all what if you'd bought them from JL? You may have not even looked at the website and there may still be some people who simply don't go online to look at washing instructions. You've only washed them once - it's not on and I think they should honour you a refund. What do the reviews say? The trouble with the reviews is that most people probably review as soon as they receive and item and not after they've washed it.

Ellapaella · 07/06/2018 17:28

Shall I look back at previous thread and screen shot the photo for you? I can then send it to you and you can send to them?

Ellapaella · 07/06/2018 17:29

Can you remember when you got them and then it'll be easier to find the picture on here?

neveradullmoment99 · 07/06/2018 17:29

That would be great Ella.
All the reviews mention the shrinking so they know it is the material that is at fault.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 07/06/2018 17:30

I got them in March. I think it was 3 threads back from this one? I can check on the Hush website.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 07/06/2018 17:32

27th March is when I purchased them so a few days later no doubt.

OP posts:
Ellapaella · 07/06/2018 17:36

Right I'll go have a hunt in the old threads.

Ellapaella · 07/06/2018 17:38

Found it never! I’ll try and message it to you

Ellapaella · 07/06/2018 17:40

Can't seem to attach a photo on a message. Are you on your phone? Do you know how to screen shot? They are much longer in that photo!

neveradullmoment99 · 07/06/2018 17:40

They are most definitely not the same length. Thank you Ella :)

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 07/06/2018 17:43

Yes. I can take a screen shot from my phone. Thanks for finding the photo. Its good so Cherries can see and compare as well as me.

neveradullmoment99 · 07/06/2018 17:47

Its done. Will construct an email later. Feeling pretty shit today as I have just got a heavy cold !

Oh that’s really really bad never Angry just contact them and return for credit/refund, appalling given what they charge for them and yes I looked at the reviews too and thought I’m not handwashing and ironing straight away which is what put me off trying them. It’s not cashmere FFS!

In other news and as enabled by laska ordered the Boden navy embroidered top which with discount and gift voucher only came to £20, I’ve got free returns so if It doesn’t suit me I’ll just return.

I’m now looking at Pure website, sale + 20% off sale items and there’s this dress which I would like for work but not sure verging on petite (5’3 1/2”) whether the paisley pattern would just swamp me...may need a statuesque person to carry it off:
www.purecollection.com/m/clothing/womens-dresses/silk_floaty_hem_dress_charcoal_paisley.htm

Or this which looks simple if rather boring but it is for work:
www.purecollection.com/m/clothing/womens-dresses/silk_tunic_dress_2_hot_pink.htm
In the navy not the pink (sorry about my poor linking)
I know not Hush but would appreciate your thoughts...

neveradullmoment99 · 07/06/2018 18:26

I like both Soyo but its annoying you cant see a picture of the paisley pattern one on the model as its difficult to tell what it will be like fit wise. If I were to choose between the two, the navy one is the nicest. Lovely classic shape that could be worn in years to come. You can also accessorise it with different jewellery, scarves etc.
As for the trousers, I am absolutely emailing them. Its clear the material isn't pre-shrunk before the garment was made. I have worn them once this week at my work for the first time [still not worn the matching tee either]. You are right, its not cashmere and they just cant decide to change the washing rules on the website. The label clearly says nothing about the ironing when damp.

OP posts:
SoyYo · 07/06/2018 18:36

Thanks never yes give them hell, and demand a refund or credit which still is inconvenient and annoying as you really liked them.

On the Pure dresses I love silk and wear a lot of silk shirts for work and thought a dress in a light silk would just be lovely for work this summer, I’ve got some long workshops coming up soon which means I’ll be away Mon to Fri 2 weeks in a row again and can’t turn up always wearing the same combos...It’s not super formal but I’m still expected to look well put together and I’m in Paris such a lot with my terrifyingly chic colleagues who in general pull off that casual chic look to perfection...I’ll give them a go as fair value at sale prices. And return if I look pants in them.

Hope your cold gets better, it certainly doesn’t help if you’re feeling below par Flowers

ilovecherries · 07/06/2018 18:39

Who has time to wash and iron damp anyway, it’s ridiculous.

soy, I have the second one in Navy. It’s a lovely dress (paid more than £60 for it though Angry). It’s very similar to the whistles Lola dress, but much heavier, more structured fabric. I think I paid £95, which is the same as Lola, and did think I’d got better value. Fairly relaxed fit, The first one is nice as well, but I’m wondering if it could be a bit long without towering heels

ilovecherries · 07/06/2018 18:47

I’m going to take measurements of the trousers as well, so I can demonstrate their shrinkage. Feeling quite petulant about it, as I bloody love those trousers.

SoyYo · 07/06/2018 18:51

Thanks cherries! Yes I’m ordering the plain navy one not sure whether 14 or 12...I’d like it to fit relaxed so will try 14 first.
And will pass on the paisley, I think I’m too short to carry off that print and really do not like wearing high heels!
Thanks for your feedback Smile

ilovecherries · 07/06/2018 18:54

I was going to say that the pink might really suit your colouring as well - is it just too much for work? When I bought mine I ordered both, (desperate purchase as I was facilitating a Board awayday and had sod all to wear), but the pink just swamped me.

ilovecherries · 07/06/2018 18:56

At that price, I might be tempted to buy both to try in case they disappear. I’d be surprised if you needed the 14.
