sea you look beautiful wow!

laska I’m disgusted with myself actually being unable to lose the weight...I lost nearly 2 stone with Slimming World 2 years ago and it took 6 months of discipline and focus and maintained it till Jan this year and then went and messed it up, I’m now 3/4 stone above my ideal 10 stone weight and I really need to get a grip Angry I know I lose weight so slowly but really can’t be bothered with “fat club” again. I KNOW what I need to do...

cherries your DH must be wowed with your blonde/redhead/brunette transformations! A new DW every day...think about it not many men can enjoy that Grin

Right I’m a short arse so might try those green stripe trousers you all rave about without too much fear of laundry shrinkage Hmm
I keep you posted!

each hope you’re feeling brighter today but imagine still stuck in hospital...

ella spending lots of time at the beach: my idea of heaven

Laska5772 · 07/06/2018 12:16

Anyone near Watford? Do you know if JL have a Hush concession there?

Laska5772 · 07/06/2018 12:18

Soy you simply must restart now ... that has always been my problem, leaving it too long ( and then its well over a stone to lose ) A month or less on LC bootcamp would sort that..

neveradullmoment99 · 07/06/2018 12:19

Washing as we speak Cherries On for a quick 15 mins wash @ 20 then going to pop on the line outside :) Will report back as soon as they are dry [which shouldn't take long as its sunny and warm again]

Or you could try the 5:2. Its totally helped me maintain my weight tbh. Now on day 4 of the no sweets/sugary junk and my denim shorts feel looser!! yay!

So I placed an order for the Woodstock slides in silver and the black skirt with the gold or silver stripes? They are the only two things that I like enough to want before the sale.

OP posts:
Laska5772 · 07/06/2018 12:25

Yes, 5:2 or the 800 cal blood sugar diet both are brilliant and you can have carbs..

I did really well on both ,but I do like low carb for the moment .
I definitely will go back to 5:2 for maintenance I think.. I have been sort of fasting anyway (do 16:8 - only eat in an 8 hr window) on the LC

Laska5772 · 07/06/2018 12:28

Never I have the Moshulu slides in silver .. they are really great comfy , leather and much cheaper than the Woodstock (but not so high)

neveradullmoment99 · 07/06/2018 12:29

I vary things aswell laska. On my non-fasting days I try to do the 16:8 - like today. Just had a roll. Will stop eating at 8pm.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 07/06/2018 12:30

They are lovely the moshulu ones. The only thing was, I wanted it with a bit of a flatform. I tried looking for Birkenstock papillia as they are what I am looking for but they were roughly the same price. If you find any with a flatform heel, please do post :)

Okay I’ll go for it thanks for the encouragement I’ve never done LC or 5:2 but I need to get on with it, you’re quite right laska if I don’t It’ll be downhill...and I put all the extra weight on my tummy (the joys of menopause) and it’s getting me down even if DH says he lusts after me whatever shape I am (he’s such a wonderful guy). I think all those weeks away from home with business dinners have really done me no favours and I know come late June I’ll be back on that merry go round so need to start today.

never I really like the skirt with gold threads if that’s the one you mean?

neveradullmoment99 · 07/06/2018 12:35

Yes, that's the one. It was OOS and then came back in, in a size 10 so ordered it. May be awful but I thought I would give it a whirl.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 07/06/2018 12:36

I have the menopausal love handles and weight on my tummy. The rest of me is fine. That's why as well as fasting, I have cut out the sweet treats.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 07/06/2018 12:40

Well pulled from the machine and they feel a bit stiff and they definitely look like they are shorter but viscose is always like that when it comes out. I will reserve my judgment about them until they are dry and ironed.Anything viscose kind of retracts and then falls when dry iykwim.

SoyYo · 07/06/2018 12:41

Yes never I never had weight problems till I hit the menopause, after DS 1 and 2 in my thirties went back to my old size but in my fifties it’s an uphill struggle...mind you my fat gut is pretty firm due to all the Pilates...maybe it’s muscle that weighs more than fat? Grin (joke)

Yes that skirt is very versatile I think 👍

Ellapaella · 07/06/2018 13:06

I have always done the 16:8 pretty much for the last 15 years. I didn't do it consciously at first, I am a nurse and when my eldest son was little I still worked on the wards ( clinic based now). I did 5 early shifts a week so wouldn't have time for breakfast before work. I'd eat at 10am on my first break then wouldn't get a chance to sit down and eat again until teatime around 5.30. I didn't snack after tea as I'd be full and would usually go to bed early ready for my early start. I did this for years and was always very slim - a size 8 without really trying.
When I left the wards to do a 9-5 job I realised I was piling on the weight pretty quickly so I went back to my old eating regime and it works for me. I am bigger than I was but I've had 2 more children and am nearly 40 now so I suppose it's inevitable. My weight carries on my tummy - it doesn't go anywhere else and I find eating a low(ish) carb diet helps with that.
I never feel hungry because although I only eat two main meals a day they are very substantial.
Anyway.. you are all a lovely looking bunch and I've really enjoyed becoming part of this thread. I've become a total Hush addict this year as I really love the way the clothes sit on me and hide all the lumps and bumps. I'm not fussed about the material of clothes, as King as I feel happy and I feel confident in them that's all I care about and I'm prepared to pay extra for that feel good factor.

Ellapaella · 07/06/2018 13:07

Ps never I really like that skirt. Let us know how you get on with it.

ilovecherries · 07/06/2018 13:11

never boldly goes where cherries feared...

laska they are chin length or thereabouts but with a bit of volume. Long ones degrade far too quickly - friction from collars/scarves etc wrecks the fibre. It might be different if they were human hair but all mine are synthetic. I realise they probably aren’t that environmentally friendly and that bothers me, and I do worry if the manufacturers truly have audited good practice in terms of their workforce. But somehow the thought that an impoverished woman in the developing world had to allow her hair to be ‘harvested’ for pennies to allow a well off European woman to make what is essentially a vanity purchase bothers me even more. I can’t pretend that I am always a conscientious consumer, but somehow that feels like a line I won’t cross. Synthetics nowadays are nothing like the ‘rat in a bag’ I was presented with in 1977 but the downside is they ARE fragile.

SoyYo · 07/06/2018 13:12

never so versatile in fact that I ordered it in the 12, we can compare notes when we receive!

In the end didn’t bother with the stripe trousers, not sure it’s really “me” but will definitely order to try if reduced in the sale.

Also have green Santana in 12 and black maxi in M on its way (I know, I know but can’t resist a good Greek widow look), the star beach bag which really like the look of but not sure it’s worth the money even with 10% discount...and a v neck sleeveless t in khaki which is on back order but as I wear a lot of khaki/olive —as well as black and navy— I thought worth a punt...

Expect to return some of above (famous last words!) Blush

neveradullmoment99 · 07/06/2018 13:16

Cherries I figure that if they go short I get them made into crops!

OP posts:
SoyYo · 07/06/2018 13:20

ella sounds like the 16.8 would suit me I’m not a breakfast eater and have lunch/dinner really late so it’s just cutting out the odd sweet thing and the wino and reduce carbs. I don’t have a sweet tooth but live with a man who lays out a vast selection of chocolates every evening and sometimes I’m tempted with the odd bar but tbh I’m quite happy with a satsuma instead.
My downfall is Carbs and Olive oil as I love pasta, rice and can’t stand salad without proper Mediterranean dressing but I must...

Laska5772 · 07/06/2018 13:27

soy the biggest thing for weight loss for me is giving up wine.. The first couple of weekends are tough esp if DH is still drinking. but then I just get into it..i find no wine= no snacking in the evenings!

Ill be slaughtered first day of holiday though if I'm not careful as i wont have had any wine for a coupe of months. At least the local Greek wine isn't too strong!

Laska5772 · 07/06/2018 13:27

On LC you can have lots of olive oil!

Laska5772 · 07/06/2018 13:30

I'm bidding on a blue Hush panel maxi on ebay.. if you are all lovely you wont bid against me? ( pretty please..?)xxxxx Smile
