laska Stevies look great on you, again I returned as I looked meh in them but on you: great!
Congrats on your awesome weight loss too (I’m struggling to motivate myself to lose that pesky 1/2 stone I put on in winter).
Question for you or anyone else who has Santana skirt: is 12 very generous? I ask because anything with elasticated waist tends to come up huge in Hush and I usually fit their size 12 jeans really well but now find the 12 Bryce culottes a tad too generous and wish I’d gone for the 10...TIA

SoyYo · 04/06/2018 18:15

duckling go for gold they don’t look too yellow and they’ll be very easy to combine with any colour...The rose gold are lovely too but maybe closer to tan than gold?

duckling84 · 04/06/2018 18:48

Thank you soyo but unfortunately gold isn't one of the options. It's tan, rose gold, yellow, red, navy, pale pink, black, silver or white. Ie it's what house of Fraser has in stock. I get 10% student discount and dh's work rewards scheme is currently offering 20% off on gift cards so I can buy a pair of salties for £42.84.

ilovecherries · 04/06/2018 19:37

I was/am in Edinburgh today (just waiting for train to leave), and took my VBD with the ruined elastic back to JL. Got a refund no problem but they had no other VBD in stock and also sold out online and at Hush. Actually didn’t have much Hush stuff at all - just a mishmash of odd sizes and styles, displayed really badly. So cheap day :). I wore my pink Faye jumper (which I’d forgotten about! Blush) with a white long line vest (primary) and black Monaco trousers.

ilovecherries · 04/06/2018 19:39

I’d size down in the Santana, SoLo. I’m wearing a 12 and it’s generous.

Laska5772 · 04/06/2018 19:47

My Santanas are 14.. Yes they are generous but lovely and flowy.. id still reckon they would be fine even if I lost another stone (which i certainly hope to )
Shame about the VBD cherries

Ellapaella · 04/06/2018 19:55

I tried the Santana skirt on in a 10 in JL (my standard size) and actually I felt it wasn't that generous! I have been contemplating ordering a 12 as the 10 is all out of stock and I really felt it wasn't very big on the waist band.

Laska5772 · 04/06/2018 20:09

ella maybe that's why I think its generous then.. I would normally had a 12 ( my marina skirt is 12 ,) but wanted extra 'flow' for the Santana as I thought with the silky fabric it needed it .

Ellapaella · 04/06/2018 20:18

The sizes are so unpredictable though and sometimes two sizes come up exactly the same!

Laska5772 · 04/06/2018 21:02

yes they used to be more reliable.. I tried several M Venice beach dresses .. some the tops huge , some the skirts far too tight , I did find one that was perfect but it was in the Haze .. which I didnt like Hmm

FabulousUsername · 05/06/2018 07:12

Wow, that is strange about the inconsistency for the same dress! And w is going on with the jeans sizing? I tried on some 14s in John Lewis yesterday which were too big (I was astonished as I'm at least a 14) so tried a 12-- I could barely get them on. Then I tried another 14 in a darker wash and I couldn't get them on! So no purchase from me but I really love the way they look on the models so am lusting for some. I'm going to hold out for a few weeks & try to lose a bit of weight then try again! Do they stretch out?

I tried the white chinos as well, they are nice but not for me. The 14s fit perfectly?!

EachandEveryone · 05/06/2018 10:19

I used the introduce a friend voucher and bought the flower trousers. They should come when I get out of hospital

SoyYo · 05/06/2018 10:40

Thanks for advice on Santana cherries ella laska I’ll risk a 12 then
duckling sorry didn’t realise yellow gold wasn’t an option in which case I prefer rose gold for their versatility over yellow?
Each you’ll love them, I’m really happy with my printed trousers, just wish I’d gone for the 8 instead of 10 (btw I’m a 12/14 in non hush vanity sizing) as even the 10 seemed to stretch a bit when worn but still very happy as they’re lovely and super comfortable 🙂 wishing you a speedy recovery

SoyYo · 05/06/2018 11:35

fabulous I find Hush jeans size on me fairly consistent, i take a 12 and they’re quite a generous 12 as I have a fat tummy...but slim hips:legs so maybe it’s to do with what shape you are? Having said that the boyfriend style doesn’t suit my shape as much as the skinny/slim leg styles. They do have some stretch, specially the Holly cropped jeans I need to wear a belt with those otherwise they slide down a bit and builders bum is not the look I’m after Grin but that again could be my shape rather than the jeans.
I think you have to try on a few before deciding your favourite style.
I have and love the embroidered relaxed jeans and 2 pairs of Holly cropped jeans (denim and cream from previous seasons) but others posters on this thread look fab in the star embroidered and boyfriend jeans

ilovecherries · 05/06/2018 11:47

I’ve had hush jeans back and forward like a yo-yo trying to find a pair that fit. On me, they are consistently too tight on the waist, and massive across the crotch and thighs. It’s a pity, as I really like them, but consoled myself with a pair of look-a-likes from Zara which fit perfectly in a 12.

AFingerofFudge · 05/06/2018 12:03

Well I'm wearing my Hush Sloppy Joe short sleeved sweat top on today in black as it's so nice I suddenly wondered if they had them in any other colour, 2 minutes later I've ordered the red one from John Lewis.
Must. Stop. Purchasing. BlushGrin

DavetheCat2001 · 05/06/2018 12:52

My Nini dress is being delivered today Grin

DavetheCat2001 · 05/06/2018 15:59

What do you think? It's creased to buggery so needs to be hung up for a bit. It feels nice to wear.. just not sure if it's worth the £££

Whitesea · 05/06/2018 16:15

It looks lovely on you Dave. Though to be fair everything you try looks good on your figure. The dress is pretty, pink is unusual and it suits you very well.

ilovecherries · 05/06/2018 16:34

It suits you. But everything does EnvyGrin. I think the black one has more potential though - this is def a high summer dress. I think for the money you could maybe get something that would have more of a wow factor.

DavetheCat2001 · 05/06/2018 16:35

Thanks whitesea. I appreciate that.

I'm not sure..I think I'm going to de-crease it and try it again and then make a call. I'm wondering if I should have gone for the blue Bay dress instead.

Mind you the reviews for the pink dress are all very positive so far on the Hush website (if they are all genuine!)

DavetheCat2001 · 05/06/2018 17:10

What do you think of the Bay dress, cherries?

SoyYo · 05/06/2018 17:13

Dave you could wear a bin liner and look good in it Smile, so yes it looks really great on but I think it’s rather similar to the black one you already have and I would worry about wrinkles potential?
So unless once ironed you think you’ll get tons of wear in the pink then you could sit on it and mull it over, compare to how you feel in the black?
If at the end of this mulling over still in ❤️ Keep.
If still a tiny bit unsure Return.

DavetheCat2001 · 05/06/2018 17:16

Wise words SoyYo!

It is similar to the Portobello, although more lightweight to wear with the open v next rather than the higher neck on the P dress.

I think I have 35 days to decide with JL so will definitely try it again uncreased!

We are going on holiday to Menorca in August and so I'd get lots of wear out of it there...hmmmm...

DavetheCat2001 · 05/06/2018 17:17

v neck, not v next!
