Does the red lipstick suit me?

Obv very identifying but I’m beyind caring!

Some of you may have seen my “fat and going to a wedding” thread, wedding is Friday and have been colour matched with this red lippy...I think it’s too bright! What do you lovely people think? Looking for honest answers. Doesn’t help that dh started singing the circus theme tune when I showed him!

Honestly? Not just saying this but it really suits you. It doesn't overpower you it looks really glam and good. I would definitely wear it.

I'm quite surprised at others saying it does because my first impression was it was way too bright and orangey for your complexion. Sorry.

I like it. So many lipsticks are really cold red. that's a warm red.

I agree too orange and matte and it doesn't** suit your colouring.

You look at the brash ( bright harsh) lipstick not your lovely eyes.

You have exactly the same colouring as me and I think it’s too orange too. I have only ever been colourmatched with true reds.

I think it looks really good too. It's just cause you're not used to it that you feel it's wrong probably.

I like it.... I would also wear some powder or foundation too just to even out complexion and then I think it will look even better. You have a beautiful face and fab hair BTW

It looks nice but I think another shade would look better, it brings out the red in your face, something not as orangey.

Ah thank you everyone! I think I’m finding it a bit too orange, it’s a boujor rouge velvet in poppy red. My friend likes it, dh prefers a pinky one I have and my mum says it looks like I’ve been eating a very red ice lolly! Torn as to whether to wear it or not. We’re travelling there with two of my friends, wondering whether to apply it in the car and see what they think? I’m going to wear foundation on the day x
