Obv very identifying but I’m beyind caring!

Some of you may have seen my “fat and going to a wedding” thread, wedding is Friday and have been colour matched with this red lippy...I think it’s too bright! What do you lovely people think? Looking for honest answers. Doesn’t help that dh started singing the circus theme tune when I showed him!

way too orange.

endthefarts · 09/05/2018 16:23

No. It’s way too orange and bright for you. Your eyes are stunning and it detracts from them and it clashes with your skin tone. You are beautiful by the way - really really gorgeous. You can do better.

foreverandalways · 09/05/2018 16:42

No. Too bold. Maybe a pink tone

Wellfuckmeinbothears · 09/05/2018 17:13

Argh I’m so torn now!

@endthefarts thank you so much for your lovely comments.

I think you look absolutely lovely! Lipstick looks fab.

Joinourclub · 09/05/2018 18:03

I think it looks great. Whenever I'm out and I see somebody wearing a bold lipstick like that, it always makes me wish that I had! I think with orange lipsticks, almost everybody would actually suit another colour more, but that doesn't stop them looking cool as hell!!

WaitrosePigeon · 09/05/2018 18:05

It’s ok but I think a darker red would suit you more?

mercurymaze · 09/05/2018 18:06

I like the Orangey red personally

arousingcheer · 09/05/2018 18:07

I think it looks amazing on you.

RoseWhiteTips · 09/05/2018 18:52

Stuck to the lipstick you are wearing in the pics. It. Is. Perfect.

Love your eyeliner too and your eyebrows.

RoseWhiteTips · 09/05/2018 18:53

Stick...

Sidge · 09/05/2018 19:04

You have lovely eyes and gorgeous hair.

But I don’t think that lipstick does you any favours - all I see is orangey lips and not your lovely face. It seems to bring out the pink in your complexion, even with foundation.

Maybe something more berry red?

snowboardingqueen · 09/05/2018 19:08

I think you would suit a red lip but this one is slightly too orange. I would maybe look for a berry red. Your eyes look great.

Ski40 · 09/05/2018 19:20

I say wear what you love 😊 If you feel beautiful in it then go for it.
I think it's a fun and glam colour, and if you have the confidence to carry it off then just do. You look happy in it.

My only worry would be teeth colour. I have always understood warm orangey tones can make teeth look yellower, whilst blue based reds makes them look whiter.

But all in all you look really nice and ready to party-have a lovely time! 😊

Lifeaback · 09/05/2018 19:25

I love your eyeliner, but I think a slightly less orange tone would suit you- maybe a deeper read or something with blue toned. Orangey reds suit people with cool toned skin, purpley reds suit people with warm toned skin- you seem to have quite pink undertones in your skin which I have too and darker more purple less orange reds tend to suit me better.

Have a fab time at the wedding!

DuchyDuke · 09/05/2018 19:25

Too bright

GymBot · 09/05/2018 20:44

You have a lovely face ears you look happy. Smile

WowIFreelStrange · 09/05/2018 20:54

it's a beautiful colour but I personally think it is too bright for your face atm. it is a bright colour and you don't have much going on at the top.

personally I would add a tiny bit of colour to your eyebrows. I don't mean slug shape them.. Just tint them a tiny bit, and I'd add a little colour under your eye. Just a tiny bit of eyeshadow. Just to help blend the bright lipstick into your face.

I think then it could work. it looks lovely now but it looks odd because of how bright it is.

apart from that you're beautiful! enjoy your night!

DrowningEveryDay · 09/05/2018 20:57

Too orange. Try a bluer-based red.

Louislovesmud · 09/05/2018 21:51

It's lovely, though for anyone who sticks to blue toned reds I can imagine it seeming a bit garish.

If you prefer a blue toned red, consider Revlon Certainly Red or even Fire&Ice if you want blue toned but bright.

That being said, with foundation, blush and bronzer and a light smoky eye I think this will be a lovely look

jamaisjedors · 09/05/2018 21:59

I like it, I think it looks more modern and fresh than a darker red.
You look amazing btw

leftcheekrightcheektiptoe · 09/05/2018 22:09

i like it.
The first red I got was first light from chanel and it's quite orangey but I get so many compliments on it and it looks even better in photos.
I think some redder reds look dated where's orangey looks so cool.
Try a more reddy tone and take some pics and compare them side by side and see which you like best.

Scrabbler3 · 09/05/2018 23:05

I love your hair
