Does the red lipstick suit me?

Obv very identifying but I’m beyind caring!

Some of you may have seen my “fat and going to a wedding” thread, wedding is Friday and have been colour matched with this red lippy...I think it’s too bright! What do you lovely people think? Looking for honest answers. Doesn’t help that dh started singing the circus theme tune when I showed him!

I like it on you and don't think it looks too orange. It's a great colour for the summer

You want a blue toned red. That's too orange for your complexion.

I agree with the orange corner of thought.

BUT it might look different once you're wearing foundation

You look very nice but I think something less orange would be even more flattering. Something with cooler/bluer undertones would be even better I think.

On the fence here...looks bright at first glance but I think with foundation and defined eyebrows it may look different

I like it too! Orange reds are divisive but look great IMO on blue eyed blondes. The contrast is lovely.

Your colouring looks similar to mine and I prefer blue toned reds on me or blueish pinks.

Thank you all, all the comments have been really helpful. I’ve never shaped or filled in my eyebrows, honestly wouldn’t know where to start! I’m going to do a full face trial run with foundation etc tomorrow and will post the pics!

I think it's spot on, and I'd say if it wasn't. Give it a test run with food and drink, just to be sure. The usual reds are boring, you've chosen something that suits rather than going with the crowd. Enjoy!

I love it, think it's ok with your colouring too. Only thing is (and I hope you don't mind me suggesting) you might need a stronger brow with a bold lip so the lipstick and eyeliner don't take over your face..... maybe a light brown brow powder or touch of pencil?
Also before you decide on red or pink - surely it depends what colour outfit and accessories you have?

You are cool toned and that lipstick is warm.

Try a ruby red. Definitely something more dialled down as that level of saturation is fighting with your colouring..

Look at colours for a soft summer.

I would leave your eyebrows well alone. They really work with your colouring. Any darker and it will be too much.

Lipstick suits you, it will look even better if you tone the redness in your cheeks with some tinted moisturiser.

It might work better if you knocked the pink out of your skin, followed by a sweep or two of bronzer.

Orangey reds are difficult to pull off with cool skin tones.

Hi, you look lovely!! But I have exactly the same skin tone as you and I can only wear BLUE REDS - whatever that is. I could never wear this one as too orange. Hope that help!
