Oh and it's a hair piece ... not grown back yet!

You have a fab figure but unfortunately the dress is wearing you and not you wearing the dress iykwim.

katplva · 23/04/2018 21:57

OP good to hear that you went out and had a good time! It was a bit chilly today though, did you wear this dress with tights and a jacket? Or another outfit? You have a great figure and a lovely smile, and I hope you enjoyed dressing up and having a day out whatever the weather.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 23/04/2018 22:00

Thank you so much. No, black dress and tights and probably looking every one of my 48 years but happy to be here.

Delatron · 23/04/2018 22:02

Glad you had a great day OP. Even in the thick tights, they were needed, so much colder today.

I've been through chemo and losing my hair too. You look absolutely amazing and come across as a very warm, positive person.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 23/04/2018 22:07

Thank you so much Delatron. It does make you focus. I posted a photograph knowing I'd receive critical feedback and I'm fine with that! Once I have more hair , I'll wear it down as someone advised .... !

ScreamingValenta · 23/04/2018 22:09

Glad you had a great day, and I bet you looked dazzling despite having to dress for cold weather.

TattyFrench · 24/04/2018 00:17

I think the important things are:
You're alive!
You're daughter's got her mum!
You had a great day.
You look absolutely bloody great.
Wear what on earth you want and ignore all the moany, dreary people.
I'm glad you had a great day. The weather's a different kettle of fish.

NoMoreCricketDartsOrFootball · 24/04/2018 05:23

I live in Australia - when I was in London 2 years ago at this time of year it was snowing!! You might need a jacket? Lol

planetsweet · 24/04/2018 05:36

What is TW?

Highhorse1981 · 24/04/2018 05:51

A town in Kent

BedtimeTea · 24/04/2018 06:18

You look great, the dress is just a bit too short. I think a hemline that hits the midway mark on your knees would look perfect.

drinkingwinefeelingfine · 24/04/2018 06:59

You look fabulous op and definitely not older than 48.

I'm 34 and I wish my arms looked as good as yours. Smile

HollyBollyBooBoo · 24/04/2018 07:04

If I had your body at my age (40) let alone 48, as well as having survived cancer I'd wear a fucking bikini to Sainsbury's.

Glad you had a fab day, sorry the weather had turned and you needed thick tights!

Mrstwiddle · 24/04/2018 07:38

I do think the hairstyle is aging you, but am very envious of your figure, although no, wouldn’t wear that dress in a non holiday situation.

Delatron · 24/04/2018 09:11

Mrstwiddle did you actually read the part where the OP has been through chemo and lost her hair, it's not actually her own hair but a hairpiece whilst she waits for her own hair to grow back?

She asked for opinions on the dress.

BeTheHokeyMan · 24/04/2018 09:19

I think you look great very toned and fit hope you had a lovely day with your daughter Flowers

tierraJ · 24/04/2018 10:40

I never guessed you were wearing a hairpiece, in 2010 - 2011 I lost the front part of my hair due to epilepsy meds, so I bought 2 fake hair wigs a blonde one & a auburn one, people who saw me in the auburn one (my favourite) thought I'd had extensions & didn't guess I had a wig!

I expect your real hair may grow back curly, it seems to happen after chemo & medication related hair loss?

You look great anyway considering you've been so unwell, hope you continue to recover well x

Lobsterquadrille2 · 24/04/2018 18:01

That made me cry. Thank you.

Undercoverbanana · 24/04/2018 18:06

I’m 50 and wear strappy, short dresses a lot. I’m small and slim like you. I don’t really like the colours tbh, but that just my taste. I think you look fab.

itsbetterthanabox · 24/04/2018 18:12

Nice for the beach. Personally wouldn't wear it for a day in the city.
You do look fantastic though and if you feel good then wear it!

MorrisZapp · 24/04/2018 18:19

I'd absolutely love a top or dress in that exact pattern. I adore green with pink.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 24/04/2018 18:28

I feel so stupid. I've just put a hat on. Is anyone here?

ColinsVeryJolly · 24/04/2018 18:35
