Are we all ready? Stand by your beds for tomorrow! I just keep looking at mine in wonderment. It really cheered me up every day last December having something to open every morning Smile

I couldn't see another day by day thread - happy to delete mine if someone else has one.

Very strong smell! It’s good for the party season I guess, if you are planning to bare any limbs... Confused

Will probably keep this for summer - ready for day 2 now Grin

wildbuttercup · 01/12/2017 11:23

Meh - not entirely impressed with day 1's gift. The sort of thing that ends up in the back of the cupboard. Hoping for something more exciting for day 2!

chloechloe · 01/12/2017 11:34

I'm not overly excited - it's freezing where I live so the thought of having to bare skin and wear this makes me shudder. Will use it onmy legs in summer though.

Hope Day 2 is more season appropriate!

Frederickvonhefferneffer · 01/12/2017 11:43

Another that isn’t too impressed with day 1, what do you even do with it? Foundation for arms? Will pass this on I think. Roll on day 2!

10kToBe · 01/12/2017 11:51

I remember last year, the Rosie lipgloss in the gold tube was also absolutely lovely - it is making me think I should look at the Rosie range and see if there's anything else I like! (I realise this is the ultimate aim of the calendar!)

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 01/12/2017 11:58

I too am a bit underwhelmed...not likely to be getting my bare legs any time soon, although the smell is quite nice. Very pale DD probably not likely to use it, and as others have said, very little shimmer. Probably use it as a body lotion after a bath so that I don't feel it was a waste. I think M & S could have done better for day 1!

homebythesea · 01/12/2017 13:02

I'm in!

Quite pleased with the glowy cream but only because I'm going on holiday after Christmas so will actually have very pale skin to reveal!

Xmasbaby11 · 01/12/2017 13:05

Not impressed really - even in summer it's not something I'd use, but in winter? Just a waste of time. I won't be showing much flesh. I bet sales of this product are generally very low.

Commuterface · 01/12/2017 14:07

I’m ‘meh’ about body lotion anyway but I suppose this is quite nice. I wouldn’t use it until the summer though. Very impressed with this size as I was with other products in last years calendar.

WindyWednesday · 01/12/2017 14:27

Last year was a lovely neals yard hand cream. It was a good start, I thought it was hand cream again. Sadly it wasn’t. This cold wind is playing havoc with my hands.

LizzieSiddal · 01/12/2017 14:31

BIt underwhelmed too. The smell is just too strong. I put a tiny bit in my arm this morning and I can still smell it!

Hope tomorrow’s offering is less smellyXmas Grin

LoniceraJaponica · 01/12/2017 16:24

I dislike the smell. I tried some after reading this thread. I think I will see if I can find a taker for it.

Nightmanagerfan · 01/12/2017 16:27

I really don’t like it either! Not a fan of make up for arms etc. Poor start!

FourEyesGood · 01/12/2017 16:59

It’s not my kind of thing. I took it to work and gave it to a colleague, who was really pleased with it. So at least I got to feel a bit Christmassy. Hope it’s something more “me” tomorrow, though!

littlepooch · 01/12/2017 17:01

Hmmm I'm not particularly excited for this one today. I don't have any parties or events to go to (this kind of rubbed it in too that im clearly the one who has no events haha) but I will use it after my shower tomorrow and waft about feeling sparkly and glowy instead. :)

NewtsSuitcase · 01/12/2017 17:06

I like it. Its perfect for this time of year when you might be going to parties and getting out legs which haven't seen the sun for a while.

TwinklyGiraffe · 01/12/2017 17:06

I’m not that impressed with day one.

It’s not NEARLY sparkly enough for me and I can’t see any shimmer at all!

miffy2 · 01/12/2017 17:13

Hmm. I might use this in summer on my legs to give a bit of colour but I tried it on the back of my hand and didn't like the fragrance at all. Lat year's lip balm from Rosie is still on the go in my handbag and was a firm favourite.

OublietteBravo · 01/12/2017 17:14

Can I hang out here (even though I don't have one)? I bought my sister this advent calendar, and I'm curious to know what she's getting each day...

NewtsSuitcase · 01/12/2017 17:42

I'm going to my first Christmas party tomorrow and will try it out.

LizzieSiddal · 01/12/2017 17:52

It does say on the tube that it lasts for 24 months so it can be saved for summer.

Sentimentallentil · 01/12/2017 17:54

Oooh I’m going against the grain here but I love it, I like a strong smell and I’ll wear it at parties over the season.

MelanieCheeks · 01/12/2017 19:00

Love it! I'm at a St. Andrews ball tomorrow night and my bare arms will appreciate the subtle sheen.

caggie09 · 01/12/2017 19:36

Hi, can i join in too! I bought the calendar yesterday only because it was £35 and no extra spend. Not keen on day one, not something i would use. Will get handed to someone elseSmile

Baileystruffle · 01/12/2017 19:57

In Winter I would normally wear tights when going out so I don't think I'd use it until the summer. I'm not a fan of fake tan normally and wouldn't use that, but I like the fact that this is wash off and not permanent, means I'd be more likely to give it a go. Hope tomorrow is something I can use now!
