Are we all ready? Stand by your beds for tomorrow! I just keep looking at mine in wonderment. It really cheered me up every day last December having something to open every morning Smile

I couldn't see another day by day thread - happy to delete mine if someone else has one.

Really happy with the perfume today. I really like this one - I absolutely hated last years - still haven't done anything with it!

usernameinfinito · 13/12/2017 14:01

Does anyone want to swap the pefume?

YouWereRight · 13/12/2017 14:01

Because I loathe all things orange scented, today's is not for me. I'll check out what else the brand has that is more to my taste.

NewtsSuitcase · 13/12/2017 14:35

Its also perfect handbag size

PodgeBod · 13/12/2017 14:57

The perfume wore off really quickly for me. Tbh I would love the scent as a diffuser or candle but not sure about it as a perfume.

Nightmanagerfan · 13/12/2017 15:01

I really love the perfume and it was nice to get something that wasn't a variant on an anti-aging cream! I checked the Shay & Blue website and apparently this is worth £25, so a lovely thing to have. I really like the smell and it will be perfect as a travel perfume.

runwalkrun · 13/12/2017 15:40

Another one who's loving this perfume!
It starts off light, citrusy and zesty and dries down to a soft, powdery sweet smell.
I'm going to save it for the summer months.
Love It!
It's definitely full bottle worthy.
In any case, it's prompted me to test some of the Shay & Blue perfumes, which I usually bypass for some reason.

Bitterboy (or anybody who had last year's M & S calendar) what was the name of last year's perfume?

SouthWestmom · 13/12/2017 15:48

Ok so I am happy now after my grumpy start.

Used the weird pixie glow stuff, like the blender and ❤️ the perfume

craigglen · 13/12/2017 15:58

I don't like the perfume at all; I didn't like last year's much but like this one even less...... But otherwise I've been really pleased with everything so far.

NewtsSuitcase · 13/12/2017 16:11

Happy to take anyone's perfume off their hands in return for an extra beauty blender Wink Grin

YolandasFridge · 13/12/2017 16:37

More love for the perfume here, I love the size too , not too big not too small.

My skin is looking better than it's done for a looong tome with all this extra pampering.

The only thing I'm not keen on is the gold nail varnish so not bad going for £1.40 a pop!

mowglik · 13/12/2017 17:02

The orange scent doesn’t last long on me, I get leather and woody or musky mainly. Interesting how it seems to smell so different on everyone

I used the rose liquid gold yesterday and my skin looks so smooth and refined. I use an overnight glycolic peel and BHA pads so I wasn’t expecting a huge difference but skin def looks good. My fave product so far

TheLongRider · 13/12/2017 17:39

@runwalkrun Last year's perfume was Atropa Belladonna.

You can look up the composition of the perfume on fragrantica.com. Blood orange, amber, leather and musk for this year's perfume. It's meant to be unisex.

spinduffy · 13/12/2017 18:03

I love the perfume, the shower oil and the Rosie skin cream. Not fussed on the rest, particularly the face masks. Happy to swap!

happypoobum · 13/12/2017 18:05

I thought it was the same perfume as last years which I absolutely loved.

Can't be arsed to get off the sofa and go upstairs to sniff todays but hopefully I will like it as much. Agree with PP, it made a nice change from skin stuff

Surely each product should be worth £10 give or take?

The advent calendar price was £250.

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 13/12/2017 19:52

I love this perfume - it is so fresh and zingy!! I walked into my office kitchen this morning (usually smells like burnt toast) just after our ultra-glamorous and beautiful receptionist had been in and I smelled this absolutely stunning scent....THIS ONE!!!😃

whirlygirly · 13/12/2017 19:57

I am loving this calendar. Well done M&S - it's a great variety and I won't go back to the one brand ones I've had before - body shop and l'occitane were nice but got very samey quickly.

SunnyUpNorth · 13/12/2017 20:00

usernameinfinito I would love to have your perfume, what are you after in return?

Theonlyoneiknow · 13/12/2017 21:20

Those who have tried liquid gold did you serum/moisture after or leave as recommended? TIA

Last years and this years perfumes were lovely!

rookiemere · 13/12/2017 21:25

Really liked today's perfume. Never would have picked it myself but I like the orangey smell it mellows into.

BluePheasant · 13/12/2017 21:52

I’m happy with the perfume, seems nice and fresh for wearing in the day.

MsJaneAusten · 13/12/2017 22:51

Were there different perfumes? I’ve not tried mine yet as the packaging was identical to last years so I assumed I’d hate it!
