Day by Day M&S Beauty Calendar- No Spoilers!

Are we all ready? Stand by your beds for tomorrow! I just keep looking at mine in wonderment. It really cheered me up every day last December having something to open every morning Smile

I couldn't see another day by day thread - happy to delete mine if someone else has one.

I was not happy with my sponge but am very pleased with the Liquid Gold which also featured last year.

Like others, my skin’s still feeling super soft from the peel thing a few days ago.

I used the radiance peel tonight, followed by the night mask, hoping to wake tomorrow looking refreshed Xmas Grin
I’m enjoying the calendar so far, haven’t used the beauty blender as yet,or the mascara, not worn makeup since Friday, I’ll use the rose gold later in the week, don’t want to melt my face. I’m not overly keen on the nail vanish colour, i only paint my toenails on a regular basis, my finger nails dry and flake if I do them more than once a flood so I think I’ll give it a miss. The lipoid ok, followed a tip on here about applying a thin coat then using a balm over the top. It went on nicely but could do with a darker shade. To be honest I’d rather have skin and hair care than makeup,I don’t wear it that often but use skin care daily.

I've been looking at sculpturing blending sponge things for a while, so was keen to try it today. I'm a minimalist when it comes to make up, but used it with That Gal primer and Guerlain powder beads. I like to think it set them well, and gave me a sort of soft focus.

I had the sponge and would have preferred the lip balm but never mind! I am being v sensible and only using one thing at a time, but it is very tempting to open them all! I prefer the non make up stuff as it's so hot and miss with colour- like the smell and lastingness of the lipstick, but a darker rosier colour would have been much better for me!

Just a tip with the Alpha Gold - no need to put it on a cotton wool pad, just carefully pat it on with a finger or two.

It takes a bit longer to apply but you waste less (I only know this as I'm allergic to cotton wool).

Really pleased with the calendar so far.

Tried the mascara for the first time today, slightly apprehensive as I wear contact lenses so I avoid waterproof mascara like the plague but gave it a try as I was at home.

I quite like it, it hasn't budged at all, though I'm a bit worried about how I'm going to get it off Grin

piknmixer just a word of warning- I'm a contact lens wearer and too avoid waterproof mascara normally as I have reacted to it before (although not for years)
I tried this mascara for 2 days and am paying for it now as the base of my eyelashes are so itchy. Even 2 days on from using it. I've had to wear my glasses yesterday. It DEFINTELY isn't a sensitive one!

The perfume is lovely - very pleased. I've cracked open and used most of the skincare , particularly like the dragons blood and the Gatineau cream. The radiance peel worked well on my ancient hungover skin but I'm a bit scared of the liquid gold stuff. Rosie stuff is nice and smells lovely. Overall I'm very pleased with this calendar... 😁😁😁

I wasn’t too enthused when I saw the name on the box, as much as I love oranges I didn’t fancy smelling of them

But I tried it and I love it - really sophisticated scent, kind of leathery and musky more than orangey.

I sprayed it on last night and still getting faint wafts of it now - very pleased with today’s offering.

Today was the second day I really don’t like. I’m very fussy about perfume and scents so I know I wouldn’t use this as soon as I saw it but that’s the luck of the draw. Yesterday’s was so good it means I don’t feel too upset.

Happily will offer mine for a swap.

Forgot to mention that I got an email from Rodial last night....the code DRAGON gives 30% off of Dragons blood range. Unsure how long it’s valid but to those that mentioned purchasing the dragons blood sculpting gel, I thought you may find it ‘useful’ Xmas Grin

I love today’s offering, it’s the same brand as last years perfume. I think I liked last years fragrance a bit more, I ordered a large bottle in the January and got compliments when I wore it. This years is lovely but completely different to what I’d usually go for.

Hmm I’ve liked most days apart from the sponge which I’ve already swapped! Probably not the make up or nail varnish as although I liked them I use them slowly due to not wearing make up that often.

The Alpha Gold and Dragons Blood were my favourites but open to suggestions from other beauty boxes or sample gifts.

I'm really happy with today's. I got the big version of last year's after having a lot of compliments about it. I've also got Dandelion Fig from the same range.

Quite happy with today's, though I'll probably keep it as a travel perfume as I have loads of perfume already. I only put it on half an hour ago, so I'm not sure on the scent yet, I like the scent of orange but I'm not sure about the leather or wood...

I've never heard of this brand of perfume, but it smells lovely, if a little simple (usually there are a combination of smells, this is just orange). I'm very pleased with this.

I'm fussy about perfume (and anyway Santa has left me a bottle of Jo Malone Black Cedarwood under the tree), so this will be a nice addition to the version I am making for daughter/ mother/ sis to plunder and share on Christmas Eve.

Well I was slightly disappointed with today's offering until I read the thread. I just assumed it was the same perfume as last year. Didn't realise that Shay & Blue did different frangrances. I quite like it. Although I don't tend to wear a lot of perfume and have quite a stash. Must start wearing perfume every day. I always used to when I worked.
