Are we all ready? Stand by your beds for tomorrow! I just keep looking at mine in wonderment. It really cheered me up every day last December having something to open every morning Smile

I couldn't see another day by day thread - happy to delete mine if someone else has one.

Hmm I was a bit disappointed when I opened the calendar but seeing all these replies I'm quite excited to use it. I'm hoping for a cleanser next as I don't have any and would think that you should use one before most of these products. Well actually I'm still really hoping for primer but a cleanser will do Grin

PodgeBod · 10/12/2017 20:07

Is anybody else losing patience and just wants to open the bloody thing? I've never been good with advent calendars. I opened my Bare Minerals one in one go Blush

MrsPestilence · 10/12/2017 20:26

Podge I am assuming you are unsafe to be left with a packet of biscuits. Gin Control woman, you can do it. One box a day, one day at a time.

MrsPestilence · 10/12/2017 20:28

That was meant to be grin not gin Freudian slip there Grin

Trills · 10/12/2017 20:46

OK I have peeled my face and I did get bobbles of skin. This is fine, I'll use it to exfoliate once in a while. I won't buy more though.

I wore the mascara again today and I think it looked good.

Whyhellodaffodil · 10/12/2017 20:46

Well jealous reading this - wish I’d got one! Could any one let me know the full name of the face peel thing? Need to go to M&S tomorrow and tempted to go try it out... thanks!

Ponks · 10/12/2017 20:50

Hate the radiance peel stuff, had a go earlier and despite intense rubbing and further cleansing and exfoliating I just can't get rid of some of it that is clinging to the downy hairs on my jawline 😥. My skin is left feeling horrible and lumpy and sensitive. I also seem to have a few spots surfacing since I started using the Korres cream overnight.

My stars so far have been the Rodial, the lipstick and the mascara.

FridgeCut · 10/12/2017 20:55

www.marksandspencer.com/innovate-radiance-reveal-peel-50ml/p/p22451103?prevPage=plp&pdpredirect - this is the peel, I really like it and will buy a full size.

The mascara has not impressed, tried it twice and it just vanishes.

craigglen · 10/12/2017 21:31

After a wine miscalculation last night (the toffee vodka probably didn't help) I used today's peel during a bath this evening. I wasn't expecting to like it but my skin feels soft and smooth and looks much better. I'm going to use the Korres sleep mask tonight and hope that I look human again tomorrow.

I'm loving the calendar so far. Unlike many of you I'm not hoping for handcream - as a woman of a certain age it seems to be the gift of choice so I have enough to last for years!

snowflakestar · 10/12/2017 21:54

That's how I've got so much handcream, craigglen, I don't think I've ever had to buy any myself!

LizzieSiddal · 10/12/2017 22:06

I haven’t used the peel yet. My skin feels lovely at the moment but can be sensitive and spotty (aged 52Hmm) so I’m spacing the various new face creams out a bit.

MelanieCheeks · 10/12/2017 22:31

Another one who found the peel stuck in my downy face hairs! But I was showering afterwards so I hope I got it all.

Next I'd like some hair thing, something to banish my under eye bags, or an eyebrow pencil/ brush.

SouthWestmom · 10/12/2017 23:05

Dd has a large travel size John Frieda conditioner in her Amazon one today. We've been comparing and had thought we'd swap, but so far she doesn't dislike anything or want any of mine! Although she has tried the gold varnish which looks okay.

Trouble is, the skin stuff is too small to see any difference or intolerances I think. Maybe the peel or face mask will be ok when I try them.

usernameinfinito · 11/12/2017 01:33

I don’t like sponges :(

Pennypickle · 11/12/2017 02:48

Hi Can I join you please? I have just acquired this calendar from niece. She didn't like it so gave it to DD(16). DD has had a look through some boxes and says its for old fogeys - so thought I may like it.

I'm quite excited to join you all in opening the boxes - and I'm sure someone, somewhere will help me out with what each thing is for and how to use it :D

AmethystMoon · 11/12/2017 05:55

Mmm initially disappointed but, I apply foundation with a brush and haven’t used a sponge in years. And...sponges have changed so much since the little wedges I used to buy. So I think I might like to try this to see if I like these new fangled sponges Xmas Grin
I see it retails at 7.50, so I assume a decent one? It’s for a good cause too, although I wonder if they benefit as we are getting it free?

Hareinthewoods · 11/12/2017 06:07

Oh crap, I was wondering why you were talking about sponges. I stupidly opened tomorrow's today. None for me tomorrow. A bit disappointed by the sponge though.

crazymissdaisy · 11/12/2017 06:17

It's a beauty blender! They are different from sponges. I have them a go in the summer ( then went back to putting on foundation with my fingers).

MyNameIsJane · 11/12/2017 06:29

I didn’t get a beauty blender in mine!

Kez0777 · 11/12/2017 07:03

I had a look at the contents when I bought it and remember it said beauty blender or something else but can’t remmeebr what! I know I wanted the beauty bender out of the two though so I’m happy 😃

caggie09 · 11/12/2017 07:03

Bit of a crap one, dont really use sponges. Had one in my makeup bag and used it once in a while, put it in the bin and will replace with this one!

Howaboutthisone · 11/12/2017 07:04

Never used a beauty blender before. I’m not really sure how to but might have a look for an online tutorial and give it a try when I get the chance.

LizzieSiddal · 11/12/2017 07:10

When are we going to get eye creams, body moistures, cuticle oils, hand creams? Angry

Whoever put the contents together at M&S has a distinct lack of imagination.
I’ve enjoying opening the boxes every day so will buy a calendar next year, not an M&S one though!

Kez0777 · 11/12/2017 07:12

I don’t want things like hand creams and critical oils so I suppose everyone is different and it can’t suit everyone everyday who has bought it 😃 plus I presume especially with the sample sizes it’s more what companies have offered their products to be in it

wildbuttercup · 11/12/2017 07:24

Pretty happy with the beauty blender, to those of you that have never used one honestly give it a try! I usually use a brush to put foundation on my face and then use the sponge to blend it in. It's the easiest way to get even foundation and stops it from looking too cakey. Top tip: get the sponge wet before you use it! I am however a bit too scared to try the radiance peel (but love the nail varnish)
