Are we all ready? Stand by your beds for tomorrow! I just keep looking at mine in wonderment. It really cheered me up every day last December having something to open every morning Smile

I couldn't see another day by day thread - happy to delete mine if someone else has one.

Definitely not my colour but loving the calendar so far!

deptfordgirl · 06/12/2017 07:44

Yay! Finally makeup! Far more pale and nude than I would choose but I'm going to try it today anyway.

deptfordgirl · 06/12/2017 07:45

My colour is 'perla'. Did others have a different colour?

NefretForth · 06/12/2017 07:50

The Stila is the wrong shade for me, sadly, and the anti-ageing cream brought me out in spots overnight (whoever pointed out upthread that if you have oily skin you get wrinkles and spots at the same time was dead right). But I LOVE the Rodial gel - it feels lovely and smells nice. And I also like the mask and the shower oil.

Callmecordelia · 06/12/2017 07:53

I'd like to join in! I got the calendar yesterday for my birthday. Grin

Butterymuffin · 06/12/2017 07:55

I got perla too. LOVE this! It's the kind of thing I would wear (lip gloss) but wouldn't buy this brand of.

Hi cordelia!

Kez0777 · 06/12/2017 07:57

The lip gloss isn’t my usual colour but it went on a really nice nude glossy colour. Then it dried and now it’s a really dark brown Matt colour on my lips 😒 I do like a Matt Lippy but go for pinks rather than browns

deptfordgirl · 06/12/2017 07:57

Oh I do actually like the lip gloss on. And it feels as if it will stay.

sluj · 06/12/2017 08:01

Day 6 and there has not yet been a Christmas miracle - I look exactly the same 😁

I'm enjoying the quest though

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 06/12/2017 08:04

Ugh. Hate this lip stuff! Really not my colour and it goes on dry and chalky. If I ever need makeup to make me look like a cadaver, I am all set though.
Anyone up for a swap? I would gladly take anything we've already had in exchange. It's obviously been opened but I used a clean lip brush instead of the applicator.

peachypips · 06/12/2017 08:20

Really pleased with the liquid lipstick! Love Stila and good colour for me anyway.

Put ALL the creams on last night as I left home at 5am this morning and I thought I might look less crumpled about the face if I slathered unguents all over myself.

I look amazing. Like a 20 year old model! I’ve even lost 3 stone overnight and all my stretch marks have disappeared and my boobs are pert and my bum is lifted.

Or, my skin feels a bit smoother.

caggie09 · 06/12/2017 08:39

Like the liquid lipstick shade, dont wear them often though because they dry my lips out. Will give it a try though!

CiderwithBuda · 06/12/2017 08:41

Peachypips Xmas Grin

I used the Gatineau moisturiser last night and liked it.

I like the look of the Still lip gloss. I got Perla too. Haven't tried it yet though. I like nude shades for during the day so hope it will look ok on me,

Guacamowle · 06/12/2017 08:46

love the liquid lipstick - just the right shade for me. This might be one I go on to buy....

snowflakestar · 06/12/2017 08:48

Hmm, I like Stila lip glazes but I am not a fan of this liquid lipstick. Firstly, it's not my colour - I can see that they probably thought they were playing it safe with a nude but I only suit pinker colours. And secondly, it's drying and unflattering. Once dried it has highlighted lines on my lips that I never knew were there - they're never normally noticeable, anyway! The description online says it hydrates and softens! I've tried putting balm on top but I'm still not impressed. I know that long lasting lipsticks can be better - the Illamasqua lipstick from the LF calendar has amazing staying power and also feels great!

saladdays66 · 06/12/2017 08:54

My goodness. Have never used Stila before. V glossy when you put it on and then it instantly goes dry! How odd. Not keen on the colour either.

Anymajordude · 06/12/2017 09:00

I like the lippy. I thought it was a bit pale at first but it's dried well. It's a dark nude on me and it really stays on.

Frederickvonhefferneffer · 06/12/2017 09:20

Today’s lippy has a lovely texture, smells delicious but unfortunately is a horrible colour. That’s the lottery with make up I guess. I like the skin care products

CiderwithBuda · 06/12/2017 09:25

Snowflakestar - I found the same. Goes on glossy and then goes Matt and shows lines and wrinkles. I quite like the colour though.

mowglik · 06/12/2017 09:27

Will wear the lipstick today and see how it looks - might be a bit too nude for daytime wear but might look good for evening wear with heavier eye make up?

WindyWednesday · 06/12/2017 09:32

Going to try the lipgloss again. It smells lovely, but was a matte and dry one. I like shiny. Also I’m dark so a pale lip colour makes me look ill. Will give it another go.

LizzieSiddal · 06/12/2017 09:35

I always use liquid lip glosses, usually Boots No 7, as they stay on forever, so was very excited to get this.

I do agree with others, it goes on really well but then feels very dry and you can see lines on my lips Hmm. I’ve never had that before!

Anymajordude · 06/12/2017 09:39

You can wear vaseline over it if you don't like matt lippy.

Gaagaa · 06/12/2017 09:41

Been enjoying the skincare past couple of evenings- spend all my days retrieving my 7 month old from the electrical items and the ten mins with a face mask and moisturiser make me feel human again. Gatineau lovely as a rich night cream. Age irrelevant imo!!

Of course you could probably have a good flannel wash and slap any cheapo moisturiser on for similar results but I like a shiny tube which hints at a new face and 'dragons be gone'

I experiment with long stay lipsticks every couple of months or so but find they tend to get patchy and I get fed up and scrub them off- am I doing something wrong?? Maybe just too wedded to nice tinted moisturising things like sheer temptations (no7)

NumberEightyOne · 06/12/2017 09:49

Not sure about this. Colour isn't great for me and it feels dry. What I may do is dot a little of it in the middle of my lower lip over my usual lipstick. That could work.
