Are we all ready? Stand by your beds for tomorrow! I just keep looking at mine in wonderment. It really cheered me up every day last December having something to open every morning Smile

I couldn't see another day by day thread - happy to delete mine if someone else has one.

Happy with today’s too! It felt a bit strange going on but good when on. Not sure about looking any different but felt moisturising.

Nicketynac · 04/12/2017 22:32

I gave the moisturiser to my mum without trying it, doesn't sound ideal for my oily skin. I tried the mask after reading that it would "remove all signs of tiredness" or something. Felt pleasant enough but I look exactly the same Grin.
The Rosie lotion was quite nice but I won't have bare legs in public until summer so it is tucked away until then. The shower oil will go in my gym bag when my current gel runs out.

SmileChuck · 04/12/2017 22:40

Everything up to today has almond oil in and ds is highly allergic to nuts so I've had to give it away. I feel like Santa's elf at work.

Today's was a lovely (nut free) treat.

AmethystMoon · 05/12/2017 05:44

Pleased with today's, I like Rodial. There was a great dragons blood spray in either the calendar or an M&S beauty box a year or so ago. Again not sure if this is a moisturiser....or in addition to?

AmethystMoon · 05/12/2017 05:47

And....it's another expensive one. £85 for 50ml full size and this is a 15ml in our calendars. Worth around £25 ish then!

crazymissdaisy · 05/12/2017 05:53

It does look nice, but i would like some make up now!

Xmasbaby11 · 05/12/2017 06:46

Thought it was hair gel at first! Looks exciting, but I'm apprehensive how to use it.

SouthWestmom · 05/12/2017 06:52

Well so far I feel too young (at 44!) for this calendar. Next year I'm getting the amazon one I think of it carries on being less than exciting.

The Rosie glow stuff (day one) is terrifyingly dark but makes zero difference to my milky white skin.

Kez0777 · 05/12/2017 07:06

I’ve loved it all so far, I’m a young looking 40 and you can’t start using these rings too early Grin
I think it’s more a beauty calendar than a make up one!
Dimes anyone know if you would apply a moisturiser after the dragons blood?

Kez0777 · 05/12/2017 07:07

Sorry kids wafting advent calendars in my face makes for spelling mistakes 🙄

Hareinthewoods · 05/12/2017 07:11

I want some make up now!!

mrsreynolds · 05/12/2017 07:12

Amazon one..
Bourjois lipstick today 🎄😁

CanIBuffalo · 05/12/2017 07:13

Not tried this mornings as I'm doing experiments with yesterday's. I put it on one side of my face and after about 5 minutes I had to put it on the other as I looked very odd with one tired eyeGrin
I'm still not convinced so I'm going to do it again on a morning when I'm not going to work and see how long the effect lasts.

ohmyblob · 05/12/2017 07:23

I really want some make up too. I think I've had today's before but not used it.

Trills · 05/12/2017 07:46

I'm also looking for instructions on when to use this - before moisturiser? Instead of?

What should I expect it to do?

Happy to have a brand I'm familiar with anyway.

NewtsSuitcase · 05/12/2017 07:53

I think these have been much better than make up so far. Make up is all or nothing. It's either your colour or it isn't. Skin care can be tried by practically anyone.

NewtsSuitcase · 05/12/2017 07:55

After cleansing the skin, apply 1-2 pumps of dragon's blood sculpting gel to the face. Use twice daily for best results

After cleansing but before moisturising.

AmethystMoon · 05/12/2017 08:13

Thanks newts I'll try it tomorrow. I'm working today and didn't want to risk using it incorrectly and then having my make up slide off or worse go into those little balls! Shock

HotSteppa · 05/12/2017 08:15

I thought I wanted more make up but I'm really enjoying all the bits of skincare. I find I buy skin care stuff and get bored after a few weeks and the routine goes, this way your intrigued enough to keep using it. I think the order they have appeared in has been thought through too. The rosy at the beginning for all the parties, though like others have said despite being really dark I can't see any difference bar the scent which I like. Today's offering has gone on after cleaning, noticed a tightening feeling but just the kind you have after washing that reminds you to moisturise, which I did with the Gatineau.

mowglik · 05/12/2017 08:22

Tried yesterday’s cream, it felt really good! Love the smell and my skin does look more rested (though that’s probably my 10:30pm bedtime last night more than anything else)

Really pleased with the dragons blood mask, volumising therapy is exactly what I need for my face! Will start using this twice daily from today and see how I look by Xmas

Never fear - I have a feeling tomorrow will be makeup (no spoiler just a hunch Grin)

caggie09 · 05/12/2017 08:28

My skin hasnt started sagging at the moment, but ill try it anyway. Its another brand ive wanted to try, and this range but never have. I do need a new mascara and blusher so im holding out and hoping one of my calendars have at least one of each in. Otherwise, im usually skincare and dont really care for makeup in theseSmile

Sparkletastic · 05/12/2017 08:39

I'm liking this year's version way more than last year's. Normally I tuck everything away immediately in my washbag for trips away but I haven't been able to resist the face mask and moisturiser and both were excellent. Going to abandon my usual The Ordinary regime this morning and slap on some Rodial instead.

snowflakestar · 05/12/2017 08:58

I also thought it might be a hair gel at first! Another product which makes me feel like I might not be the target audience but I will use it in the hope that it will have some preventative action (I'm all about trying to prevent problems before they appear!).

Interesting re yesterday's cream, CanI!

I was going to say that I can't find any official instructions saying to use moisturiser afterwards, but having just tried it it's definitely not a moisturiser (on my skin, anyway) as it has sunk straight in and my skin feels tight, and like it has a film on it. I might spoil the effect as it actually feels like it's doing something but I think I'm going to moisturise now.

Commuterface · 05/12/2017 09:05

Really pleased with today's Rodial products are always great and super expensive! I'm also really hoping for some make up tomorrow though; I need a new mascara and would quite like a lip product Xmas Smile

CiderwithBuda · 05/12/2017 09:21

Very depressed by all of you young things saying you don't need wrinkle creams etc yet! Feeling a very haggard 53 today!

Not helped by DH commenting that I might need a bigger body size tube when I read out that the Rodial cream was for sagging skin. Cheeky bugger.
