Any tips? I’m not intending to tell a soul and have it booked for when DH is away a few days next month. Terrified and excited at same time....

Oh me too bath ! AlthPugh I think if I could afford daily massages I would need Botox 🤣

CallingPeopleACuntOnFb · 10/11/2017 08:48

Although * fgs autocorrect is crazy

QOD · 11/11/2017 11:30

Previously I had just 11 forehead done and my deep
Crease is about gone
This time we went somewhere new, done by a dentist so far better job.
I had my eye creases
Done and actually that’s going to be my focus now. I’ve almost trained out the frown anyway and I had loads of wrinkles when I smile or laugh. Still got a couple but not 20!!

Delatron · 11/11/2017 12:21

Does it work well round the eyes? Is it for crow's feet? I've developed an annoying line at top of my cheek bone so wondering how close to your eyes they go?

QOD · 11/11/2017 12:31

It does. I have a couple of deep lines which probably won’t go but the fine ones are gone

I do still crease but not concertina lol. So I don’t think it looks frozen

No make up on yet so patchy skin - another story with the malasma

QOD Looks good! Btw I can’t see it on your pic but re melasma, Sali Hughes has written something in the Guardian today about treatment for it www.theguardian.com/fashion/2017/nov/11/sali-hughes-beauty-melasma?CMP=share_btn_tw Just in case you’re interested.

CallingPeopleACuntOnFb · 11/11/2017 12:59

Delatron it worked for my crows feet! Tbh mine weren’t that bad but it almost completely got rid. I’m due a top up (and have booked it for a couple of weeks) and they’ve made an unwelcome reappearance in the last few weeks 🤣. I’ll take a before and after pic x

QOD · 11/11/2017 13:21

Oh thanks Enid. I’ve been using nip and fab wipes as recommended by mumsnet but meh. Not much change. A cream seems more likely

Delatron · 11/11/2017 14:08

Thanks QOD that looks really good! I'm very tempted.

Great to hear it worked for you too CallingPeople. I think I'm more worried about looking 'Frozen' round the eye area so it's good to hear people are having great results.

Liiinoo · 11/11/2017 19:33

I have Botox to lift my droopy eyelids and soften my crows feet. There is no downtime, occassionally a small red needle mark but no one has ever noticed it and I normally meet people for drinks after as I get it done in our nearest big town. Sometimes there is a mild headache the next day.

No one has ever noticed but after the first time I had it done I got a lot of compliments about how nice my hair was and how the new style suited me despite the fact it was the same style as before!!

I was out with some girlfriends a while ago who were making comments about how you can always tell when people have had work done. After a while I told them I had been having Botox regularly but I don't think they believed me.

Fashionjunkie · 11/11/2017 19:58

My forehead was sore on day 1 & 2, but that's now gone, no marks or bruising. Lines look less but still there - only on day 3 tho! I can see more diff in my 11s than my forehead at the moment... waiting for day 10!

skunkrat · 11/11/2017 20:49

I’m worried as i def can tell my brow is lifted, but fine forehead lines are still there and still plenty of movement. But I think it can take 7 days 🤔

OP posts:
CallingPeopleACuntOnFb · 11/11/2017 23:48

It can take up to 10 Days to start seeing results (even 14 in some Cases !) So worry not 😄

justme93 · 12/11/2017 18:02

I had my consultation yesterday - something I’ve been thinking of for a while.. I’m booked in for all three areas on botox and lip line the following week (advised not to do them all at the same time) I feel less apprehensive now having spoken to the nurse in great detail. I don’t intend on telling anyone unless they ask.. I will be taking before and after shots which I’m more than happy to share 😉

skunkrat · 21/11/2017 13:34

Soooo I have my follow up today, overall I’m pleased. Def with the brow lift which had got rid of my resting bitch face but I don’t know whether I expected too much by thinking my fine forehead lines would be gone. They are faintly still there - I also have no reduced eyebrow movement. Will see what she says later as I’m erring towards thinking maybe the baby Botox wasn’t enough 🤔

How does it work on crows feet? Can you not narrow your eyes anymore? I’ve had 11s done and will get a top up before Christmas but tempted to add the crows feet but nervous..

guest2013 · 21/11/2017 22:15

I've been having it for years and no one is any wiser. Also have fillers too. My friend who's a midwife does it but I've had it done by beauticians in their living rooms before now. I wouldn't pay too much for it, I pay £150 for 3 areas.. Botox is pretty cheap to buy so these Drs doing it are just rip offs, they even say it themselves trust me! it's pretty hard to get wrong and it wears off anyway. Just look for good reviews obviously but don't worry about it being a qualified doctor!

justme93 · 29/11/2017 10:10

It’s been a week today since I had all three areas done and I’m absolutely amazed at how more youthful my eye and forehead look. The lines are almost completely gone! I have a follow up tomorrow and I’m having the lines on my upper lip done with filler. I have to say my fears of looking hideous have been replaced with amazement

ScandiCinnamon · 29/11/2017 13:39

I was once told that for lines that are visible only when you smile - Botox, for lines that are always visible - Fillers. Not sure if that is true or not.

user1494670108 · 29/11/2017 21:50

I was v tempted but I now spend my evenings watching Rebekah Vardy's face in fascinated horror, only her lips and eyelids move!!

Boredboredboredboredbored · 30/11/2017 06:58

justme isn't it fab??! I've been having it for couple of years now and think it looks brilliant. I'm 40 and recently started dating I told my new man and he had no idea hadn't noticed any frozen look. I think this is the sign of a good clinician doing it.

NoelCowardsDressingGown · 30/11/2017 07:08

Why the need for all the secrecy, srs? I've had it for years, and if someone asks or it comes up in conversation I'll tell them. What's all the cloak and dagger nonsense about, it's not, you know, a crime Grin.

justme93 · 30/11/2017 07:35

No secret for me, you ask and I’ll tell. At 45 I think I’m worth it, I’ve worked hard, played even harder and now I can sprinkle a little magic and look a big younger ☺️

NoelCowardsDressingGown · 30/11/2017 07:44

Agree justme, also when you've had it yourself I think it's much easier to spot when someone else has; if they deny it to you -when you both know they've had it - no crime, as I said! But it just makes them look a bit of a twat.
