Any tips? I’m not intending to tell a soul and have it booked for when DH is away a few days next month. Terrified and excited at same time....

Secret here Too 😉

CallingPeopleACuntOnFb · 07/11/2017 21:40

I have it between my Brows and at the corner of my eyes ! It’s amazing between your brows will smooth your forehead out brilliantly. I just look rested all the time, and not stressed

Make up goes on nicer too i think

Come back and let us know what you think !

CallingPeopleACuntOnFb · 07/11/2017 21:41

I had secret 'baby' botox two weeks ago on my 11s and around my eyes. Nobody has commented and I think although it has softened the lines it has made my eye bags more visible and further wrinkles have appeared on my cheeks (think smile lines going up towards cheek bones). I must add that I am 53 and may have left it too late! Not sure I'll have it again but I'm glad I have tried it to satisfy my curiosity.

Snagz · 07/11/2017 22:16

I'd love to try it, but also nervous. I understand about making sure its a doctor/nurse specialist etc to do it, but is there anywhere particularly good to find someone? Register of plastic surgeons / derms online? I'm in London.

bananafish81 · 07/11/2017 23:22

@Snagz I went via recommendation, I chose a consultant dermatologist with extensive experience with cosmetic non surgical treatment, I also liked the fact she still maintained an NHS practice

There is no botox regulator but starting points might be

www.bcdg.info - British cosmetic dermatology group : a register of consultant dermatologists (as listed on the GMC specialist register) with a special interest in cosmetic dermatology, part of the British association of Dermatologists

baaps.org.uk/ - the amusing acronym for the British association of aesthetic plastic surgeons

@YouLittleWally might be better placed to advise further

I have a | line in been my eyes (had it since I was 14) - how much should I expect to pay to get it fixed?

skunkrat · 08/11/2017 07:05

One area I think was about 129?

For what it’s worth I am 39, and was just starting to get that drop, permanently looking annoyed/knackered. Don’t know if it will work. I went to the same practice 2 years ago for a consultation (on a recommendation) and the same lady who did it yesterday said I didn’t need to it. at my last consultation she also talked me down from more areas than I wanted. Still nervous but waiting and seeing.

I wouldn't bother taking days off work in order to keep it secret. It can do mildly weird things to your eyebrows and forehead movement for the first three or four days while it 'beds in' so that's an awful waste of several days' annual leave if you don't want anyone to see that. Especially when ultimately they will probably work out that you've had it anyway.

Even if it's really great, subtle botox that's not obvious or visible in all the tell-tale ways, they'll notice you are looking fresher - so what? It's not a crime and it's incredibly commonplace now.

You don't need to keep it a secret but neither should you feel you owe it to people to announce that you've had it any more than you would if you'd been to get your grey roots touched up.

skunkrat · 08/11/2017 08:29

I defo haven’t taken time off work!

MorrisZapp · 08/11/2017 09:00

I'm defo going to do this. I don't have elevens, I have a one. It's so deep that small children try to put their finger in it.

Snagz · 08/11/2017 10:38

Thanks banana! Relieved to see so many people doing this - hope that doesn’t sound weird, I think it could make a big difference to my face but was worried it was a bit out there / the preserve of celebrities only!

canyouseemyusername · 08/11/2017 10:39

How sad that you can embrace your age :(

Snagz · 08/11/2017 10:50

I can definitely embrace my age. But I don’t want to keep the fairly deep hereditary lines on my forehead that I’ve had since I was about 20. They don’t make me look old, just slightly odd.

canyouseemyusername · 08/11/2017 10:51

I thought botox only worked on light/no wrinkles. If they're deep how will they disappear?

TheVanguardSix · 08/11/2017 10:54

Anyone ever had it on their chin for pebble/orange peel skin and lines?

ThaiRedCurry · 08/11/2017 10:59

I did exactly the same thing. I felt a bit frozen for a few days and then the results take about 2 weeks to set in. My partner didn’t know but my sister and girlfriends definitely did. I will say I’m late 20s so my lines where not huge but they where noticeable enough to me to be self conscious about x

lovemylover · 08/11/2017 11:46

Leamington, have you had lip lines above mouth filled? if so how did it turn out,
I have really bad liplines, smokers lines even though I gave up 3 years ago, they have got worse
Had them done once 2 years ago, but the woman used the wrong filler and it was awful
