Right you were all so helpful on the other thread but the skirt has turned up and it is all wrong for me

So now I need an A line skirt in a beautiful bold print which I can wear with a black top

WHICH I CAN BUY IN A SHOP BEFORE SATURDAY

for less than £40

Which monsoon skirt is yellow and black? There are too many skirts on here, tbh.

NotQuiteCockney · 05/04/2007 19:58

I bet she'll just wear a boiler suit, like always.

FrannyandZooey · 05/04/2007 19:59

Yes OH YESSSSSS

I WILL look like Mrs Danvers

oh superb

FrannyandZooey · 05/04/2007 20:03

Oops sorry I was stroking my mistress' furs in a malevolent lesbian fashion

Mrs Danvers meets Mummy from Topsy and Tim

(I do NOT mean the modern itchy head mummy - the 1950s mummy would never have let them get itchy heads fgs)

oh btw that link keeps crashing everyone's computers which I think must be why they are all so tetchy when they come back from having looked at it

Mrs Danvers wears a boiler suit?

Who is Mrs Danvers?

I thought Rosie the Riveter wears a boiler suit, along with her communist equivalents, and nobody else. Confused

Tatties · 05/04/2007 20:28

AitchTwoOh · 05/04/2007 20:28

pmsl

Gobbledigook · 05/04/2007 21:08

I think the dress looks rather chic. I like it. nOt sure about for a party though.

bozza · 05/04/2007 21:15

Not just a party gdg, but a 4th birthday party. I'm not sure either - I think a brightly coloured patterned skirt with a non-black (I think I am on my own on that bit) top would have been better. I would wear that dress for work though.

bozza · 05/04/2007 21:15

And yes that link has crashed both my work and home internet explorer...

FrannyandZooey · 05/04/2007 21:20

The thing is bozza, I work in a children's party type environment and don't get to channel Mrs Danvers very often

so when we have a party I am ruddy well going to dress up

OP posts:
bozza · 05/04/2007 21:24

Oh yes I am one of those sad types who plans what she is going to wear at her children's parties. But I think that dress would rather show up marks more than one of the patterned skirts. But if you can carry it off, that is fine. I like to dress nicely - I am not a trainers and fleece type person.

FrannyandZooey · 05/04/2007 21:26

Marks? What "Marks"??

there will be no marks at this party

OP posts:
bozza · 05/04/2007 21:27

Of course there won't be franny, how silly of me.

[fingers crossed behind back emoticon]

filthymindedvixen · 05/04/2007 21:31

cod,

here is THE dress....now can we go talk about summat else for pity's sake

bozza · 05/04/2007 22:07

I cannot believe I clicked on that link again, and crashed explorer again. It is worse than the bat.

FrannyandZooey · 05/04/2007 22:19

It didn't crash mine until I read that it had done it to someone else's

your pc has put ideas into my one's head
