Yes , I know, I know.
You don't want to think about it.
This time last year I hadn't even had my holiday (I went in Oct half term) this year , I have no holiday to console me (visiting parents for the 4th time this year soon)

So:
its getting near 100 Days.
I need to get on board with weight loss/sorting my belly or I'm going to be looking in disgust at my middle in December.

I need to sort out some good winter clothes but I don't need thick layers because I hot flush like a bloody oven. While everyone else is in Parkas and gloves, I might button up my cardi .

I'll be back in a few days with A List.

I'm in as I get married on 1st December!!!

  1. Stop snacking
  2. Eat proper home cooked food instead of either crap or cereal
  3. Early night (9pm) once a week
  4. Continue recently started skincare routine (and don't go to bed in make up!)
  5. Face mask once a week
  6. Figure out what to do about shadowy patch above lips Confused

Okay, to finish off set of 10 after reading the rest of your posts...

  1. Start C25k again
  2. Try Korean Italy cloths for my KP on my arms
  3. Try Olaplex

10. Buy all the products for my DIY bridal make up look and practise, practise, practise.

Does anyone else have a sort of shadow above their top lip and know WTF to do about it?

It's not hair....it's not pigmentation either. It seems to come from beneath the skin, almost like dark circles under your eyes but above my top lip IYSWIM? Confused

Pic attached...not sure it shows it that well. Doesn't seem to cover up with foundation particularly well, I'm wondering about using dark circle correcting concealer?

Do you see what I mean or am I losing the plot?

I'm in. 7 weeks pregnant, and that combined with a holiday just before means I have put on 11lbs already! 😕😳😮😣

Determined not to become the whale that I was last pregnancy, so I have joined slimming world (lost 1lb at first weigh in, but as I am pg weight loss is not the main goal really, just hope to maintain). I have also been pretty good with the exercise the last couple of weeks which I aim to try and keep up. Goal is jog/walk for 1/2hr 3x week, yoga 2x week, and at least 60 mins walking eg Sunday Pm stroll, walking instead of driving etc.

Gone cold turkey on the fags and booze so hoping that will help with my weight and general well-being. Have found increasing the exercise has really helped with the fatigue.

Beauty wise - start getting regular waxes downstairs - did iPl before but that is not safe.

Use gradual tanner everyday - think my wobbly pregnancy bid will look better for it.

Skin: cleanse and gentle exfoliate everyday (lots of bumpy pimples mixed with flakiness - hormones!), home facial one per week.

Hair: had baliage/ombré style colour not so long ago with dark roots so regrowth won't be a problem - apart from the greys! Have decided to embrace the grey how it comes whilst pg and see what happens, but still keep it clean and nicely styled. It is all one length below shoulders ATM, but with my face getting fuller with the pregnancy I think I need a few layers. May attempt the mumsnet hair cut - if I go easy it is not too bad on my hair as I can keep the layers long.

Nails: Hands - keep short, clean and shaped (job in healthcare) with clear polish if any, but when I go on mat leave keep nicely polished.

Toes: pedicure once a week, and this winter my chosen shade is a lush dark purple/wine shade - a bit like Chanel rouge noir.

Face - still trying to master the art of subtle, natural looking contouring - again to try and counteract pregnancy chubby face.

Teeth: brush, floss, mouthwash every night, brush and mouth wash every morning.

Clothes: actually going to get myself a nice maternity wardrobe this time as couldn't afford it last time.

Phew! I'm going to enjoy the while it lasts before the baby comes and all I can manage is a spritz of batiste!

Eyebrows I have that, had it worse when I was younger. It seems to be a bit like dark circles under the eyes, in that it is worse when I'm dehydrated or tired. It's odd isn't it? My dd has it too and I can usually tell when she's a bit hormonal (more than normal anyway, she's 13) because it looks darker.

Morning princesses 👸
So I’m still sticking at sw, 4lb lost so far. This weekend I ’ve put on fake nails from primark, painted my toe nails, had a face mask and am about to go and dye my hair. I also have some fake tan so might give that a go too. Feeling beautiful today

@thenewaveragebear1983 It's annoying...I've tried googling but it just keeps coming back with suggestions about melasma which is pigmentation of the skin after sun exposure and I don't think that's what it is.

I might try some dark circle corrector on it.

Bought Urban Decay Potion eyelid primer at the weekend which I'm looking forward to trying as apparently it means eyeshadow doesn't budge all day. My oily skin usually means I have the dreaded creases by lunchtime!

Happy Monday princessers.

Sticking to some of my rules, water is going ok, diet badly.

I am moisturising and my skin is looking great.

Not good at the manicure thing, so I've booked to get a gel manicure this weekend. I always find if my nails are done and I shave mascara I feel a bit like a grown up.

Today I am starting an intense kick start diet, aim for 800 cal (blood sugar diet) with intermittent fasting. I am starving already but having done it before I know this will only last a few days until my body gets used to it. I just need to push through.

I'm also walking to our toddler session today, mostly because I forgot to get cash out for the bus! But it's good exercise. Focus on that.

I found all my holiday clothes yesterday and they are all size 12 so 1.5 dress sizes to drop by April, one of those would be good by Christmas.

Have a fantastic day

I've tried this a few times and kind of dropped by the wayside, ready to stick to it this time 😊

  1. Nails always polished - change it a couple of times a week. This stops me snacking in an evening too if I'm painting nails
  2. Body scrub twice a week
  3. Face Mask weekly. I'm really good at always Cleansing, moisturising etc but don't always do a mask.
  4. Gym 4 times a week - managed 3 last week after the summer off.
  5. Stick to 16:8 - Lose a stone which will take me to half a stone away from target.
  6. Dye hair more often, rather than waiting for roots to be horrifying and colour faded. Every 5 weeks should do it.
  7. Regular eyebrow maintenance
  8. Use foot scrub weekly

Not sure what my last 2 will be.

I'm in!

I've gone from a size 24 to a size 16 since Easter so my main priority is to stay on the straight and narrow and not believe that from 1 December until 6 January food is magically calorie-free. I expect Christmas week will be a bit of a splurge but that's normal, and when I set out on this weight loss plan that was my aim - to have a normal, healthy attitude to food. So far it's working!

I'm going to take extra care of my hands - DH is currently under the threat of redundancy, he finds out on 1 December. If he isn't laid off, he'll be getting a substantial pay rise and more responsibility - and he's promised me a diamond for Christmas if that's what happens. So I'm thinking positively and prepping, just in case Xmas Smile

Also deep conditioning twice a week and being religious about trims - two between now and Christmas to keep everything healthy and neat. Or as neat as my hair ever gets!

Quim well done you, that's a fab weight loss.

I did exercise a bit, I think I may suffer for it tomorrow though.

Hi everyone. Not being particularly princessy here! My skin is a mess as its totm and I think I've got a bit of detox spots going on as well. I bought a lovely rose scented hot cloth cleanser yesterday in tkmaxx but haven't used it yet.

I am very impressed by your long lists- I have the best intentions but never seem to actually get in motion. Perhaps I need to just find one thing and add a new thing each week. Still, I haven't had any alcohol for the whole of September so far and I'm trying hard with my diet again after a weekend of excess! Running alternate days as well which is hugely improving my mood if nothing else.

Bought 2 lovely cardigans yesterday and if I get time I'm going to sort my wardrobe out today and put all the summer stuff away. I love Autumn clothes so it's my best dressed season!

I'm in. Need to get my shit together for life not just for Christmas, but it's a start!

Yeah me too. Yeah I am in (now I have said that I have to do something don't I?) I do plan to walk more and do the 5:2 diet. Lord Knows I have enough recipes from all the books and those magazines. I am fed up of my tum. I don't care about my arse cos I don't see it!!!

I am already buying better clothes. I got a navy coloured dress from Cos for my Uncle's funeral and felt great in it. Well, it is a start!

Wow Quim! That's great! I am an 18/20 (only 18 if very stretchy waistband). If I got down to a 16 I would be shouting the Hallelujah Chorus and doing a victory run around the office! Perhaps not as I work in mental health!).

Not a great start as we got free pizza today and as it was meat free I had most of it! (Obvs doesn't count if it is free!).

Eyebrows - not sure what the dark mark above your lip is. I have similar but it is deffo moustache - even when I put the bastard hair removing cream on (-and it burns my face) I still see the dark line. However, eyebrows, nice lipstick!

I'm in! I have a 2 year old DS and a 4 month old DD and feel that in the past few months my care for myself and my diet have gone to shit.
I'm not beating myself up about it as I've been busy, but my motivation is to look good for DDs first Christmas & to be able to look at the photos with happiness rather than be upset by how I look.
Am joining slimming world tomorrow and would like to lose a stone before Christmas plus I'll be upping my water intake and reinstating my eyebrow, nails and tanning regime.

Lion don't worry too much, i have no photos of me with my children really (7,5 &3) as I dislike how I look so much. It really upsets me and I've made myself be in a few this year on holiday. This Christmas I'm going to make sure I'm in plenty with them

First slimming world meeting for me tonight. I have 4 stone to lose, and am so disgusted & upset with myself I started to cry after being weighed Blush
Have spent the evening reading through material and sorting a shopping list for tomorrow. Like 70 I don't smoke or drink so October will be about my weight loss and ensuring I feel better by xmas.
DH saw how bummed out I've been tonight so has booked me a pedicure as a pick me up treat bless him! That's one princessing item ticked off then!

Hello again.

I’m back and ready to get on this princessing thing once more. Baby has arrived so I need to practise a bit more “self care”.

My list was as follows:

Drink more water without needing to pee all the goddam time hopefully - doing this
Keep caffeine to a minimum - only having caffeine in the mornings.
Multivitamin with probiotic every day - nope. Can’t take as breastfeeding.
Cleanse tone moisturise face - day and night - trying...
Moisturise body - try every day but...may not happen
Go outside at least once a day and try and get my 10000 steps. - averaging 5000 at present
Food log - limit snacking - limit cake and biscuits. Eat better.

Trying also to get a nap in once a day. Failed the last 4 days...
