Yes , I know, I know.
You don't want to think about it.
This time last year I hadn't even had my holiday (I went in Oct half term) this year , I have no holiday to console me (visiting parents for the 4th time this year soon)

So:
its getting near 100 Days.
I need to get on board with weight loss/sorting my belly or I'm going to be looking in disgust at my middle in December.

I need to sort out some good winter clothes but I don't need thick layers because I hot flush like a bloody oven. While everyone else is in Parkas and gloves, I might button up my cardi .

I'll be back in a few days with A List.

dancelikenoneiswatching · 17/09/2017 14:39

I'm in too I really need to do this Confused

Opheliasgoldenwine · 17/09/2017 14:46

I'd like to join if that's okay!

MiniDoofa · 17/09/2017 15:07

I'm in!!!
Need to lose a stone so I can fit into most of my clothes. Heading in to summer here and can't bear another year of rotating through the only 3 outfits that fit.
Things I need to work on are:
Reducing/removing alcohol.
Cardio fitness
Skincare routine / battling wrinkles and spots at the same time is very irritating!!!

fivefour3twoone · 17/09/2017 15:25

I'm in!
I Need to lose a stone
I Need to keep my nails in better shape
Would like to start getting highlights or is it lowlights...dunno the difference!
Need to self tan my face
Attend to my skanky feet
Improve my wardrobe

Missionocrity · 17/09/2017 15:59

Anyone else think this thread could get expensive?! I'm filling my amazon basket with Korean towels and weleda foot cream!

Bad day here today- I have the worst hangover known to man and I'm eating lots of carbs to try and soak up the alcohol!

Roll on bed time...

MrsBobtonTrent · 17/09/2017 19:57

Timefortea Thanks! Will moisturise and start hacking away with the ped egg (have one somewhere). Was thinking this morning about trying a chiropodist- is that the same as Dr Scholl? I tried a footner thing a few years ago, but while loads of skin flaked off, the really grim gnarly bits of foot stayed untouched. As if the footner gunk was too repelled to go near the heels and toes. Quite disheartening!

Have ordered some Korean Italy cloths and cuticle cream. Planning a bath later with face mask and hair oil, then file nails, trim cuticles and maybe some polish if I can find something subtle.

Have drunk tons of water and eaten plenty of veg (and biscuits). No exercise and dressed like a jumble sale, but moving in the right direction!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/09/2017 21:12

I use SteamCream on my feet - not my go to choice but I like the fact its vegan , I love the tins (I bought one of the Christmas tins in Tesco 50% off early this year) but ........ I hate lavender so the only way I can use it , otherwise its a waste of money, is on my feet, cotton socks and wash it off my hands asap.

My feet feel like butter the next day Xmas Smile

MrsBob - I think the Dr Scholl (who may now be called Shuropody) class themselves as podiatrists, but could be wrong. When they were Dr S I had an appointment to get hard skin off. They were good. And would give you a good basis to start getting princess feet!

But just being thorough with PedEgg and moisturiser will help a great deal.

GiantHulkHands · 17/09/2017 21:32

Just had a shower
Used olaplex on my bleached hair
Trimmed nails
Moisturised
Applied psoriasis cream to reduce redness and scaliness
Applied Vaseline to the hard skin on my feet and I'm now lying next to my snoring 1 year old son on my bed whilst reading mumsnet. Bliss.

Gonna try and moisturise feet before bed time every night. Also need to lose at least two stone. Work in progress.

glenthebattleostrich · 19/09/2017 06:20

Ok, so far I've

Moisturiser daily, including body.
Started with the water, having a big glass when I wake up and one half an hour before bed is good.
I've lost 1lb, need to get serious with the diet cut back on the wine
I'm walking more, definitely hitting 10000 steps per day, struggling with more some days.

This weekend I'm colouring my hair, going back to a bright red for a few weeks, doing my nails and giving myself a facial. DD loves joining in with this so we'll make it something for us both :)

thenewaveragebear1983 · 19/09/2017 06:28

So far I've,.....

Continued dry September. (Pleased about this)
Nothing else
Developed a few nasty detox pimples on my chin

I am so not cut out for princessing!

Missionocrity · 19/09/2017 07:48

Morning all!!

I've done well with moisturising and last night gave myself a manicure.

On the other side, I've totally not stuck to my diet and I need to drink more water...contemplating sober October to cut some calories.

8FencingWire · 19/09/2017 08:22

I'm in!
I've been on these threads for years, from Helgathehairy times, she's going to be here in a minute saying that her little one is going to school or something equally ridiculous!!
And em, you're having a baby!!!! Fantastic!!!

I must be pre programmed after all these years: autumn, kids back to school, must be princessing time.

Right, my list.

Good old shred again. I actually re-started doing it last week then life happened. Again.

Running on my days off. Not massive runs, but I actually love 20-30 mins of going round and round the park.

Water! Nuff said.

Haircuts. I had an impromptu one the other day, I was feeling quite low, my goodness, the difference it makes. We've been pretty strapped for cash lately so haircut was not a priority. It looked 'alright' but not good. DP declared it 'money very well spent':)

Dry brushing. Very guilty of not doing it. I have a long weekend in the sun booked up this winter, must exfoliate (dalek voice).

I'm pretty good with the make up, I apply some every day, but must keep on top of the rest of the routine.

I'm taking lots of vitamins and stuff, so that's all good.

Sleeping is ok too, could be better, but I managed to get the bedroom how I like it, it's calm and decluttered :)

Right, need breakfast, will come back to the list.

MiniDoofa · 19/09/2017 13:26

So apparently I'm going to have to live without the health benefits of green tea, since it tastes like seaweed.
Pretty sure the lime in my g and t counts as a serve of fruit instead.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 19/09/2017 14:23

Mini a lot of people make green tea with water that's too hot, which makes it very bitter. If you make it by putting the bag in a cup and adding about 1/5th of the cup cold tap water, then top up with boiling it will be so much nicer!

A Nepalese lady at work taught me this- it's to do with the altitude lowering the boiling temp of water. British water boils hotter than Nepalese water. I don't know if this is true or not, but it will definitely make your green tea more palatable!

MiniDoofa · 19/09/2017 14:36

Well thank you averagebear I will give that a try!!!

StarHeartDiamond · 20/09/2017 23:10

Well today I "unprincessed" good and proper!

I have:
Overslept
Eaten my own bodyweight in salt and sugar
Not drunk any water just cups of tea
Not taken my vitamins
Didn't wash my hair
Haven't moved very much
And I'm late to bed...

But I am making myself have a bath, fake tan, quick foot treatment and I'm starting tomorrow fresh. I have binned the rest of the rubbish food (sweets etc) in preparation and I'm not going to do anything but go straight to sleep after bath. 🙂

Insomnibrat · 20/09/2017 23:17

I'm in, I started a Juice Diet this week after watching 'Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead' on Netflix.
I have about 3st to lose, and need to regain control of my self esteem.

RosemaryHoight · 21/09/2017 09:46

I love fat sick and nearly dead.

Missionocrity · 23/09/2017 08:16

93 days until Christmas

Good week here- 3lb off (yay!), starting to get into the routine of slimming world and have lots of yummy meals planned for next week.

Have kept up my water intake- I'm sure it's making my skin look better.

Time to get in the shower and exfoliate (I love a good scrub!)

Happy weekend all!

HolyShmoly · 23/09/2017 22:55
  • Third week of avoiding sweets and crisps Monday-Friday done, with only a few slip ups.
- Gym properly joined and averaging two classes a week. One class that kills me for the rest of the week and then pilates (although this week that was swapped for a core class from hell) - Eyes tested, trial frames ordered from specspost. It turns out my prescription hasn't changed so now I just need to decide if I want to get a new pair.
  • Hair cut and colour booked for mid-October (post next pay day!) I'm thinking of a lob with balayage.
  • I got some facemasks for my birthday, but I'd like to try a few others.

Still to do and advice needed:

  • I'm thinking of getting lvl lashes done and am debating hd brows so at least I'm a bit 'done' without doing a thing. Can HD brows look good without any a full face of makeup? Is there something else that lasts a few weeks that I can do?
  • Exfoliate and moisturise. I really like the looks of the molton brown body polish, do they sell smaller pots in store? I don't fancy paying £35 for a pot. Does anyone have any suggestions of budget but wonderful exfoliators and moisturisers, preferably that smell incredible, don't include microbeads and don't involve faffing around the kitchen?

Closer to the big day

  • shellac or similar to my nails
- probably other things I'm forgetting.
patientzero · 23/09/2017 23:08

I know I’m late to this party but I’d like to join in please. Will have a proper read and think and come up with my list tomorrow to start Monday

CotswoldStrife · 23/09/2017 23:34

I'd like to join in too, will think up a list and post by Monday. I am already on a weight loss thread but have not lost any yet and def won't this weekend either with choc and prosecco consumption Blush

This time I think I'll be focusing on hair and clothes.

MiniDoofa · 24/09/2017 00:37

Managed 7 days straight of no wine. Literally the last time I did that I was pg. my youngest is 6yrs. Blush
Been better with skincare and water. Need to do more cardio but feeling better from the lack of vino I think already.
Have decided to come off pill. I've been on dianette for about 18 months for cystic acne but I'm sure it's been part of the cause of my weight gain. Will have to see how it goes with regards to the skin. Anyone else think they've gained/lost weight on the pill?
(Oh and it also seems to remove my libido completely, ironic, really)
