Yes , I know, I know.
You don't want to think about it.
This time last year I hadn't even had my holiday (I went in Oct half term) this year , I have no holiday to console me (visiting parents for the 4th time this year soon)

So:
its getting near 100 Days.
I need to get on board with weight loss/sorting my belly or I'm going to be looking in disgust at my middle in December.

I need to sort out some good winter clothes but I don't need thick layers because I hot flush like a bloody oven. While everyone else is in Parkas and gloves, I might button up my cardi .

I'll be back in a few days with A List.

I would like to join in too! 55, overweight and short of time but would love to feel more polished.

cheesydoesit · 12/09/2017 16:11

Ooh yes, I will join this year. I have lurked on previous threads. I'm due DC2 at the start of January so won't be loosing any weight but I want to concentrate on my skin as it's awful and dry at the moment. More nutritious fruit and veg, lots of water and less carby take aways! I have lots of lovely make up I cba to use either and I've taken up biting my nails again Shock so that's also something to work on.

NotSoSkinnyNow · 12/09/2017 16:11

Signing in! I re-joined the gym a fortnight ago, but seriously need to up my game. Tonight's plan is to move the tumble dryer so that the treadmill is no longer hiding in the corner of the dining room and can actually be unfolded and used as a treadmill rather than a clothes horse😂

Ecureuil · 12/09/2017 16:13

I'm in!

Timefortea99 · 12/09/2017 17:00

I have lost 24 pounds since January - still have a stone to lose but getting a bit complacent but due to being on holiday but will get back in zone from Monday. Also want to use up loads of products languishing in cupboards.

Take my vitamins everyday.
Walk at least 10,000 steps everyday.
Do my weights routine at least 3 times a week.
Use body lotion at least every other day. (I would aim for everyday but that is not going to happen).
Use foot cream every day - and use Scholl Velvet touch and Pedegg once a week to decrust.
Use Nude Rescue Remedy Oil every night. Cleanse and eyecream as well.
Face mask once a week.
Use hand scrub and hand cream every day.
Use shampoo and seperate conditioner at least twice a week - I have been using a wash and go shampoo every day.
Do something about eyelashes - they are looking sparse. I used Lipocil before and that helped.
Prompt removal of toe nail polish and reapplication.
Use gradual tan every couple of days.
If possible clean teeth three times a day. And floss once a day.
Stay on top of chin plucking!

lisam78 · 12/09/2017 17:53

I did this the last time and it really helped me establish some good habits - I am now on top of the following: gym class x5 each week, hair cut coloured every 8-10 weeks, skincare routine sorted, manicure once a week, pedicure every 3rd, moisturise body every day.
What I need to do now is:
Lose weight - half a stone. Just can't seem to shift it. Think I am eating so much as I think because I am exercising that it's fine, but it's not. On second week of 5:2 so we'll see how it goes.
Face mask/ hair mask once a week.
Start using retinol to ward off the wrinkles.
Get more sleep (mumsnet on phone doesn't help with this!)
Try to get some time to myself each week.
Get rid of bumpy skin in Upper arms - any suggestions on how to do this?

That should do for now!

RosemaryHoight · 12/09/2017 18:30

lisam78 you sound like you are doing well already.

Flexitol or other foot creams help the bumpy upper arms. Look for a high urea content.

I think 100 days til Christmas is this weekend. I'll start then.

swannyswanerson · 12/09/2017 18:51

I'm in - definitely need to do this!

Annabelle4 · 12/09/2017 18:58

Count me in 👸

Missionocrity · 12/09/2017 18:59

Ooh I'm in -but only if I can have a sash- I do 2 hours of cardio a week, take a skin and hair multivitamin and have recently started double cleansing but have a few things I'd like to work on!

My list is:

  1. Join slimming world (and ACTUALLY stick to it)
  2. Regular pedicures (at home)
  3. Face mask twice a week.
  4. Drink 2 litres of water a day.
  5. Apply body moisturiser daily.

Aiming small because that way I am more likely to stay motivated!

Timefortea99 · 12/09/2017 19:18

Bumpy skin on arms - haven't tried myself but if you look up thread on Korean Italian cloths seem to be good for this.

Manupprincess · 12/09/2017 19:33

Awesome inspiration. My goal is to drop two dress sizes by Christmas. I feel so much older than my age and if I don't make changes then this will be my life. I've been dealing with severe anxiety and depression this year so my physical health has been neglected. My goals are:
Drink 1l water a day
Exercise 4 times a week consistently
Stick to a skincare regime
Stop the binge eating I live for
Keep up my mindfulness practice

ememem84 · 12/09/2017 20:53

Ok so I've failed at healthy eating and water consumption today. Succeeded in taking my vitamin, and making sure I've removed make up and moisturised.

Baby steps.

AdelicaArundel · 12/09/2017 22:29

Ooo ooo ooo can I join??
I've signed myself up for exercise classes once a week since the kids went back to school- got nails sorted, and am getting out to exercise the dog before school run.
I've had a year of beating myself up with worry about stuff and it doesn't work. So I'm going to be brave, invest in myself and deal with things that are hanging over me.

Plan for tomorrow: exercise, drink warm water instead of caffeine, add more fruit and veg to diet, floss. Baby steps that I'll add to as I go along.
103 days to Christmas from today.

Girlywurly · 13/09/2017 00:13

Thanks, OP, I'd love to join in. Not feeling too bad right now as I've had my hair cut and coloured this week, and now have a much more flattering side parting and fringe, plus brows are tidy and nails are done. Halo

Here are some of the things I've been doing recently. I'd like to consolidate and become more consistent, so that these things just become second nature:

  • Following a well-thought out skincare routine (am pleased to say that, slowly but surely, this is reducing my hyperpigmentation).
  • Olaplexing monthly, weekly hair mask (Aussie 3 Minute Miracle) and daily use of hair oil/leave in conditioner.
  • Daily collagen drink, 2 kiwifruits and Vit C tablets.
  • Drinking at least three litres of water daily.
  • Avoiding alcohol and refined sugar.
  • Epilating face and body hair.
  • Exfoliating body with Korean towels.
  • Using sonic toothbrush, whitening toothpaste floss and mouthwash twice daily.
  • Refining my new capsule wardrobe.
  • Reading daily.

And here's the stuff I need to start from scratch on:

  • Early nights every night, unless I'm out.
  • Water and lemon daily.
  • Avoid excessive coffee drinking.
  • Brush tongue daily.
  • Use velcro rollers more.
  • Learn how to blow dry fringe.
  • Stop slouching.
  • Smile more.
  • Sleep on silk pillowcase.
  • Weekly foot scrub and file.
  • Reducing screen time.
  • Stick to Slimming World way of eating.
  • Some sort of manageable exercise regime.
SleepingBooty · 13/09/2017 18:36

I forgot to say I've bought some crest strips to whiten my teeth which are doing a good job.

Missionocrity · 13/09/2017 20:43

I joined Slimming World today! I have 2 stone to lose which I put on whilst on some medication. Hoping to get it off before Christmas and back into my nice clothes!

I've nearly drunk my 2 litres of water, need to hurry up tho or I will be up all night going for a wee!

Really impressed by some of the lists on here! Gurly how long does all of that take you?!

Right quick shower and body moisturiser time!

christmasunicorn · 13/09/2017 21:14

I'm here!!!! Can never resist a primcessing thread

  • joined slimming world 2 weeks ago with the promise of keeping it up till Christmas. Would like to loose at least 1stone.

  • remember cleansing routine every evening AND morning. I've been slacking on the morning routine lately

  • invest and learn to apply fake tan. I'm open to suggestions.

  • hair cut at half term and Christmas. Stop leaving it to grow wild for a year or two.

  • stop plucking and get eyebrows threaded again.

  • smile, be happy, think positive thoughts and love myself. Happy people are the prettiest people

👸👸

Onehellofaride · 13/09/2017 23:22

I'm in! I will be back tomorrow with my list Xmas Grin

christmasunicorn · 14/09/2017 07:28

Ooo I really also need to add:

Face mask twice a week

No playing on phone after 9pm - read instead!

WaxyBean · 14/09/2017 07:31

Yes, yes, yes! Up for this. Will work on my list later.

Chestervase1 · 14/09/2017 14:52

I have booked a pedicure and spray tan for later. I shall book for a facial for next week when I'm there. I need to raise my game and need some professional help. I normally undertake beauty stuff myself but I need help!

StarHeartDiamond · 14/09/2017 15:03

I'm in! I've lost 11lbs this year but would like to lose 7lb more.

My list:

Bath once a week with detoxifying salts, when in bath do feet hard skin removal, face pack and full body scrub.

Remove old polish and reprint toes after bath and apply foot cream.

Home fake tan once a week.

Take all vitamins once a day.

Drink at least 1L of water per day.

Get to sleep by 11pm most nights.

Stay on top of wardrobe - sort belts, bags, shoes etc so they are ready.

Book in next 3 hair appointments so they are done.

That's it for now!! Smile

lisam78 · 14/09/2017 17:24

Thanks timefortea and Rosemary- i'll give those a go!

Artyfarty555 · 14/09/2017 17:52

I need these "things" in my life. Fifty in a month and never really been into princessing, altogether l do need it.!!!
Lost all sense of fashion and self care due to feeling pretty rubbish and having no ' sense of worth' ...lost Dad at Christmas and my Mum two years before Dad, so l need to re focus and do a few more beauty things!
Joined the gym last week, mainly to swim but may do a bit of jogging on the treadmill.
Gold member of WW so need to go every so often...
But ,it really is a mind set. Need to feel positive, get some multi vitamins, drink more water and stop playing Candy Crush and cards on 4 separate devices!!!
Should l just write a list down of what l aim to do?
